Zos adding the ability to become zombie or dwarven

This has to be the worst poll since "Flying mounts?"

I'd put this poll in a class of its own.
Although you couldn't become one there have been werebears and wereboars in previous games and other werecreatures have been mentioned in lore but 1 flea-ridden pest is enough for me.
Babeester Gor is the Axe Goddess, the Implacable Anger, the Avenging Daughter and the Earth Guardian.
    Vriddi gra-Yildnarz, Dragonknight and Smith
    Myrvanwe, Sorcerer and Enchanter
    Tsajirra, Nightblade and Clothier
    Vilvyni Indarys, Dragonknight and Woodworker
    Arielle Alouette, Templar and Provisioner
Fishes in Troubled Waters, Nightblade and Alchemist
Shanika Some Long Title I'd Change If I Could, Templar and Aspirant Jeweller
Pippi Longhorn, Nightblade, Ne'er-do-well, and "Tribute" character

They could quest for brains. Depending on who's logged on though, there may not be any objectives. ;)

I think having a quest line where some dudes turn you into a dwemer (sorry I thought it was dwarven) and turn you legs and arm into like dwemer parts to like defeat some ultimate dwemer dude or something along those lines. This is still a thought concept to me and sorry guys......

    Not sure.
What, eh..., what kind of zombies are we talking about here? "Night of the living dead" or "Idle hands"? The first would really suck to play as but the 2nd could be kind of interesting.

And aren't dwarves, or dwemer, just an extinct sub-species of elves? I'm trying to figure out how you could turn your character into a dwarf like a vampire or werewolf. What would a khajit dwarf look like?

By Dwarf I assume you mean like one of the orcs of the Wrothgar public dungeon were the half mer and half "thing" (best way to describe those things).

As for zombies what could you possible do zombie in TES lore are mindless slaves and that's the best case worst case you're just a mindless rotting meat bag eating flesh.

I don't get why everyone is hating on this so much. Its just an idea and I am fairly new to the game. Maybe not a zombie or dwemer but something new and cool that will add to the game. I don't follow lore so I don't know what is "not allowed" but I really do want to hear some ideas people have and what people would like to see.

The game has to follow certain "strict" lore because the Elder Scrolls has established such a rich history and has been going since 1994. That's over 20 years of building a world and it's histories. To add anything new is risky and would have to work with lore that already exists and would need to be something that would be received well. Lots of people don't want ZoS to add *new* stuff because they feel that belongs in the long-running single player campaigns.

Your suggestions haven't been well liked because they simply don't make sense. It would be like adding Robots and Aliens to Lord of the Rings.

A lot of us have been expecting new skill lines with upcoming DLC but that recently has been quashed. So nearly everybody is more focused on what we can realistically expect with Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood.

Really, there isn't anything (that I know of) that could be similar to Vampire and Werewolf skills.

Also, a lot of people like the mystery behind the Dwemer disappearance. Maybe future games will offer more insight to their disappearance, but for now we'll have to make do with the lorebooks and theories

Hey @attackjet , I'm loving the passion you're bringing to this... You might really enjoy learning about ESO Dwarves... AKA... the Dwemer. Their name means "Deep Ones" or "Profound People". They're not tiny, short or fat like other Dwarves. They're generally the size of all other races. I think the reason they're called Dwarves is because they were underground dwelling.

Here is a great video about them...
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uK-WXrOhoHU

If you want to learn more about TES check out the other TES videos from Shoddy Cast. They are pretty amazing and entertaining videos.

One think you'll learn is that there are MANY of us who take TES lore very seriously and treat it as seriously as actual history or religion (in the context of Tamriel, of course). So when you hear things like "NO FLYING MOUNTS!!!" Many times there's great lore reasons for these cries, like with the Dwemer. Sometimes there isn't, like with capes.

Thank you guys for really explaining this to me. I think a lot of people along with me have a deep passion for this game, not only because of the graphics and the fact that it is really good (though something need tweeking) but also because this game has some serious lore fans who know what they are talking about with the history of the game. I think the devs of this game shouldn't give up on it and should really pay attention to what people have to say about it. Though sometimes (even thought I like PvP a lot) the PvP people take the smallest little glitch and make it seem like the sky is falling and that zos diosnt care about what the community thinks of the game at all, I still think PvP is very good it just needs some battlegrounds and arenas (and dueling of course). But I wish pve was a bit more interactive, I feel like some of the quest are more tedious than fun, not all of them of course, but some.

I can agree with this. I have long wished that there were enough to do in ESO to keep us entertained outside of PVE and PVP... we need the ability to just... BE in the world. I would love it if there were enough to do in towns that we could just loose ourselves in doing odd jobs around town, playing games in the inns, reading in the mages guild, sparring the in the fighters guild... etc.

@Gidorick so true I couldn't have said it better, like once you are bored with running around and stuff you can just go to a town and relax and talk to people and just lay low. The game kinda lacks in this :( though I do like going to town and seeing all the high level peoples armor, some of it looks amazing +_+ but I wish they would add more

Well I mean glitches are a fixture of the Elder Scrolls series, so I'm not even inclined to say they're lore-breaking ;).

I'm sure I've seen a video of a dev talking about pve interactivity, and trying to find the right balance between people having more freedom in the world and making sure people interacting with things doesn't slow down the game too much. I believe the example was of that player who dropped 2,500 cheese wheels down a mountain in Skyrim, the dev didn't want stuff like that crashing the game for other players but he wants the world to feel more interactive and fun :D.

Edit: It was 2,500 cheese wheels. https://youtube.com/watch?v=fCrhDamN82k

These devs seem out of touch sometimes. I don't think anyone has ever asked to be able to drop all their things in the world and have other players see them and have them have individual physics. The kinds of things we would like are...

    Sitable chairs
    Layable beds
    Climbable ladders
Picking up items we see in the world (this has actually been improved GREATLY since initial launch)

We're not asking for cheese waterfalls. If they really used that as an example they are either being dramatic or they don't know what we mean by "interactivity".

Hirable NPC's sounds really cool. I think more interactive NPCs to battle on your side, and the ability to have more than one. What about mounts? I saw another post about and someone said a spider deemed mount and I thought that would be really cool. And what about being able to go underneath water??? Not a big deal, would be cool though. I think the champion point system in non vet PvP has to go... People are just way too overpower. With the vet ranks being regular levels I think that is a really good idea, though would need some tweeking to pvp .

I always considered the Dunmer to be the closest TES race to the Drow.

And in Aldmeri "Mer" means "Ones, People, or Folk"... it doesn't translate to "elves" directly but contextually... yea... elves.

I'm comfortable saying that I'm one of the more... erm... demanding ESO players. I think I feel like there is a LOT more missing from this game than the average ESO player. I mean I have made several posts and a thread about the fact that there the moon Secunda doesn't reflect on the surface of the water:
