I think most future content will still be advertised; through trailers they would release and coverage on gaming news websites. Especially things like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood, for where I have seen people say they won't play until these pieces of content are released, then this will also bring in an influx of players over the years. So whilst the console release will be big for them, it's not their last opportunity to gain new players.

I am sure that there will be a lot of content in the next years, ZOS has so much plans, but they are not dwemers, so we should be patient.

But plans can be changed, so we don't really know what we can expect. The justice system was planned for "sooner", but as you see: It's just ingame!

In my opinion we should wait and one a day the "surprise egg" will be open and we could praise the new surprise-content

It's all speculation ZOS does not release numbers, so anything we see is a speculation, we don't know if the game is or was having financial problems, we have no idea how many subs the game has, the revenue stream, unless the numbers come out of ZOS'es mouth.
Hater's are going to hate and paint a gloom and doom picture all across the forums and blogs, this is done to every mmo that has ever launched in recent times, your white knights will come in to the burning building and tell you everything is great and the game will be here for 100 years.

Compared to the other games on the market ESO is still a new game, it still has lots of growth and expansion to do, my only problem with ZOS was how they put pc's aside until consoles get released which made everything seem like it is taking that much longer. I am sure the things they talked about will get into game at some point, the big question is how many people will be left to enjoy it.

My speculation is there is more people playing this game than we think, I believe The Elder Scrolls has a very dedicated fan base, I think the game has a good niche market, don't need millions of players to have a profitable product if that was the case there would be no other mmo's out there except wow, the future of ESO is in the hands of time no one knows.

Id expect them to launch content in mass after console release to keep up.
I do enjoy ESO but the above games will take priority over it.
Im afraid because i spent 2100 plus hours to this day in new vegas with all the mods.

To keep interest from console launch to the same time next year.

ZOS needs I'd say 2 large expansions size of burning crusade and 6 small size dlc like player housing / guild halls as well as heaps of new features and getting a handle on the bugs and lag.

I dont want to defend Zenimax, but so many other games official forums have tons of topics about great potential, but devs are unable to fullfil, so its nothing special about eso.

if you look at bigger point of view -

"this elder scrolls game is already released for 1 year and 3 months and there is still no sign about Dark Brotherhood? Thieves guild? No features known, no plan date to release? That is so HUGE FAIL, unsuccessfull game. As simple as that. Game is trying to catch no subs crowd and console crowd a still this features are missing? Zenimax will pay badly. Veteran rank still in game? Zenimax will pay badly. We already see.

Second and third release is about "these symbols" too. i should tell them if they ask

The sooner they release more zones to explore, fun quests to do and introduce things like Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Spellcrafting etc. the sooner this will be more like an Elder Scrolls game and people will enjoy it.

The bugs are annoying, especially that they seem to be ignored is too but the one thing dragging this game down is PC players are getting bored while they work on console.

Once they actually start releasing content will be the judge, if they do a good job with that and the content takes players a while to complete and the updates are fairly steady then this game could survive a long time.

not arguing with the 2 options, but for the last sentence..First time after many years, there isn't any AAA MMO coming soon..not even rumors for its development..some f2p titles are coming, but are not anything special that can affect AAA MMOs.

Read my post above dont need to be an mmo to affect it hell I've put atleast 5 times the amount of hours into the fallout series over wow.

hm..single player games usually co-exist with your MMO of choice. At least for me. As for the Division, it is on my radar, though I am not fan of FPS, I liked Destiy up until I reached level 20 and completed the story..I did not continue to the grind though...I am not fan of dailies/weeklies and a game style that you collect x tokens per week, to buy armor in months. Also Destiny, had no "open world" in the sense of ESO/Lotro.

If the Division manage to make a good virtual world, with long leveling experience and no dailies, I will invest my time there
