Also I had a nice chat with someone last night, I have to say all my faith in ZOS handling this has been lost once again. I think I am done fighting these battles, until ZOS ever gets a real security/GM team which can actually do the job correctly I don't know what else there is to say.

I could punch they guy who first came up with kk directly in the face. This *** seems to be really widespread but is *** as ***. k comes from the prefix kilo. Who the *** would write 1 kilokilogram instead of 1 ton o_O
my ban will be lifted in couple hours, if i go to alik'r desert dolmens, will i see bots? yes i will.
that's ZOS for us.

As this is the first time we've publicly taken mass action on accounts for this behavior, we've kept it to a three-day suspensions and removal of all AP from the top offenders.
Seems like that's the case.NightbladeMechanics wrote: »ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »As youre hanging out here atm. Are you considering to reset the ranks of the offenders? I mean that was the only reason to exploit this

So just to be clear, are the offenders keeping alliance ranks?
If so, I am disappointed, although I realize that might be difficult to roll back.
AP removal seems to be a joke, according to a banned player zos removed AP only on the first character on the char lists: so people who did AP swap with the second char on their char list... still have their AP. Confirmation ? @ZOS_JessicaFolsom
Rank removal would be the real thing
That is unfortunate. Without harsh consequences for exploiting, individuals will just weigh the risk vs reward and take the slap on the wrist.

They shouldn't have done any bans to begin with. This whole thing in general was just handled in such a pathetic way by ZOS. They should've made a statement about it when it was going on, they didn't. People warned them more than enough, they didn't care. And now when all is said and done, they just ban some people as a show of power.
The bans were RNG, there are more than enough people who farmed many millions of AP and didn't get banned.
AP removal was RNG, some people got their AP removed from one character, some from every character, and some from none.
Absolutely pathetic.
Agreed. Whilst it was handled in a weird way bans themselves (even temps as we had here) are a good way to show ZOS isn't going to be so laid back. That is unfortunate. Without harsh consequences for exploiting, individuals will just weigh the risk vs reward and take the slap on the wrist.

No this punishment will have huge effects for the future as any who does something which could considered exploiting will think twice about doing it

Noone wants to play in an environment where everyone abuses the *** out of every exploit or questionable gameplay mechanic a new update adds, either. Goes both ways.
Well I'm quite sure the banned ones will not take the risk to swap ap again with their accounts risking definitive ban. So it does not matter if the previous communication was proper or not: the effect if there.
