How to test a major update ZOS-way:
Step 1. Don't waste time for internal tests. Just push the patch to live servers in prime time.
Step 2. Wait 4-5 hours for players to test the patch.
Step 3. Find out the most obvious bugs.
Step 4. Shut down the server for maintenance to fix these bugs.
Step 5. ???
Step 6. Profit!
I don't know about anyone else but I had items disappearing permanently off my body on some of my alts. It was fortunately just like, level 10 quest reward gear, but I can imagine it could affect MUCH more important gear as well.

a guildie crafted a set that was "deactiveated" (tooltip) and not usable. maybe that's (part of) the issue

Don't tell me its the animation with wep swap, because thats the only issue I got.

It amazes me what entitled jerks people are. By all means, please enlighten us on your extensive experience with testing major software. They don't take down servers lightly - they did it because an exploit was discovered. However, in your estimation, they have no idea what they are doing. Go you! You are an expert on the internet.

It's an item-related issue introduced with this patch that we need to address.
hey @ZOS_JessicaFolsom
would you mind providing more information. i mean there must be a good reason to bring the servers down for this issue right after the patch and it shouldn't be possible to exploit it when the servers are down, right? (and afterwards fixed right? is it embarrassing? did you reintroduce some old bugs? just guessing here)
so absolutely no reason to not tell anything?

The Chapel of Akatosh in Kvatch is locked. I suspect it's a quest area ... hope to get inside soon.
