It amazes me what entitled jerks people are. By all means, please enlighten us on your extensive experience with testing major software. They don't take down servers lightly - they did it because an exploit was discovered. However, in your estimation, they have no idea what they are doing. Go you! You are an expert on the internet.
Don't make it too obvious you are part of their programmers team. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. Just letting you know there is really qualitative software in the world, and you should always improve to be able to deliver the best product to your customers. Instead we are just witnessing exactly the same issues over and over.
You have no idea what you are talking about. All software gets released with bugs. That doesn't mean that they did test it. During testing, a ton of bugs are removed. Software is just too complex to expect to find all bugs when testing because you can't anticipate all things and because there is just so darn much to test.
There is a reason some companies still have COBOL systems running or mission critical apps on even older languages. They have hammered out bugs and know that new software would introduce bugs and, by definition, you don't know what those bugs will be.
"Best product" is an ambiguous and generally meaningless concept. It is the kind of phrase one would use when they haven't actually thought things through. Is best based on value, or do we need to spend billions of dollars and sacrifice deadlines indefinitely to make bug-free software for it to be the 'best'? Because you can't control costs and/or make deadlines if you want bug-free software.3 -

exploit = abusing in game mechanics. in the case of the writs it had to do with putting the writ in the bank and harvest the node.
cheating = what you've seen at the weekend. it was a THIRD PARTY application and had nothing to do with bugged mechanics
people were only perma banned for CHEATING, not EXPLOITING (3 day ban).
you see the difference? ZOS indirectly said: exploit mechanic and profit, not much will happen.
