I am very disppointed by this. If this is a mandatory feature it may be the thing that drives me away.

What . . . on earth . . .
This looks absolutely incredible. I'm so beyond excited! Looks like a lot of effort went into this & it looks like complete customization of a variety of gameplay types! Excited to test it out on the PTS!

It will not be mandatory. It’s a DLC addition, so you need the DLC to even get it. Furthermore, you’re an overlander, no?

I take part in all end game content except Trials. So not I am not just an overlander.

Ah, I apologize. But still, the rest of the argument is true. As long as you’re fufilling your role, there is no need to interact with the system at all. Even if it seems mandatory, it probably isn’t.

The very last thing I want is to have to go back and redo all my characters' skills and gear. It was a nightmare before and I just got them all where I want them. So, no, I am not happy about this.

I change my character's gear and skills every approximately 2-7 minutes when I'm raiding LOL.
If all you do is casual content you don't need to change anything. You have nothing to worry about.
Shoot an arrow at the ground, dealing X damage. Then, jump backwards performing Y action. At the end of the jump, gain Z buff.

Two, scribing is designed with balance in mind. This is still an online game where you are interacting with others and working toward goals with others. The team needs a way to balance, and scribing (a precursor to spell crafting) achieves that.
