    What . . . on earth . . .

This looks absolutely incredible. I'm so beyond excited! Looks like a lot of effort went into this & it looks like complete customization of a variety of gameplay types! Excited to test it out on the PTS!

The very last thing I want is to have to go back and redo all my characters' skills and gear. It was a nightmare before and I just got them all where I want them. So, no, I am not happy about this.

I change my character's gear and skills every approximately 2-7 minutes when I'm raiding LOL.

If all you do is casual content you don't need to change anything. You have nothing to worry about.

As I said above, I don't just do casual content.

Then you probably haven't been doing endgame very long, if you aren't used to changing your skills and gear. One patch at most.

That is an incorrect assumption, and how I choose to play is not the topic of this thread.

I am more disappointed by this than anything else that has ever been done in this game.

Personally, I was way more disappointed with the ToT reveal. In fact, all of High Isle was a big fart imo, but that's just me.

I also was not that excited about this Scribbing thing. Mostly, it just seems kind of ... meh for the 10th Anniversary DLC. Maybe I built it up too much in my mind, but I was expecting like a major base game update, or a complete overhaul of Cyrodiil, or like 3 new Weapon Skill lines! Instead, it kind if just feels not that interesting to me and I'm mostly just concerned about how they are going to balance it (even though we all know it'll be OP for the next 8 months) *shrug*

Granted, we haven't really seen the whole Scribbing mechanic in full yet. I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic, but my irl reaction to Scribbing was "is that it? A couple customizable Skills on existing Weapon Skill lines?". The new story with a new Daedric Prince is kinda interesting, especially with maybe some tie-ins to IA? Mostly looking forward to the 3Q Quality of Life and 4Q PvP announcements.

ESO already totally lack balance in classes and skills and now they introduce another very big variable.
What could go wrong I wonder .....

Fun beats balance. Who cares about balance when the game is as stale as it has become in the last years.

Same IDC about balance either. This game ain’t my job and idc about whether I am ruining other players experience by playing.
I just want it to be fun.

It's irony that Scribing is just a shadow of initial Spellcrafting.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but based on what I heard, Scribing will not work for any CLASS skills; I heard weapon skills and guild skills. So any class that mostly focuses on class skills will not benefit from Scribing.

It will not include class skills at launch, but you can still benefit from it. Every class toolkit has holes, and now you can make a skill to fill those. Maybe it is a certain buff your class struggles to obtain, or a damage type required to trigger a desired set or status effect.

If stuff is balanced then it won't get nerfed into the ground later. Which is more fun than your stuff suddenly no longer working.
