When I began playing this game in the very beginning, you had to choose your alliance and stick with it. The pvp in Cyrodill was full of players fighting for their alliances, and there was a very positive pvp enviroment for new players.
With a faction/alliance lock for the entire campaign, I belive we will get a very much more positive and larger pvp-population in Cyrodill. We will get rid of the worst trolls and alliance hoppers and get a more vibrant and including alliance population. I belive this will bring back alot of old players that quit/took a break (like me),
We want our Cyrodill back!!!

It's almost like people just look for common things to complain about and blame for their frustrations. Zos can make rules, faction locks, change AP scoring, but it cannot change selfishness and poor sportsmanship.
Trolls will be trolls, and a faction lock isn;t going to stop them or slow them down, because they are trolls. Now you're forcing these trolls to play on a campaign with people they don;t want to and you all of a sudden think they want be spying, turning people's sieges around, delivering scrolls to their cross-faction friends, trading emps on the population imbalanced dead campaigns you are going to create, etc.? But why bother looking at history when nostalgia is so much more comforting?

- Poor performance
- Frustrating class balance
- Too many friends/guildmates left because of above
After that, ZOS needs to incentivize and make it so players want to stick with a faction, in spite of friends and greener pastures elsewhere, rather than forcing them to stick with a commitment they might quickly regret or not want to carry out. Having an actual reward for winning and being high on the leaderboards is probably where I'd start. But none of this will matter is the lag is terrrible, people think their main is trash, and population imbalance/nightcapping, makes the time people do play meaningless.
What´s a *** Alliance to choose good for, if the player can just switch it at any time ?
PvP (AvAvA) without any loyality makes just no sense.
If you want to just fight and FARM (!) AP, go battlegrounds.
A proper PvP environment should have SOME RULES all have to play with.
And whatever the posts from times long past tell, it was for sure not perfect, but it WAS BETTER TIMES.
That from someone who actually played since the beginning.
I stopped a few weeks ago, and im just taking a peek in forum….
And i dont come back into the game until some major improvements to PvP happened.
I completely agree with all of your points. However, if you think ZOS will make these changes, and that is the only way you are going to play again... See ya!
The coming of faction lock is good but ZOS also have to encourage player to play the map and for the faction. Otherwise its just a bandaid or will cause other problems.

This is the worst way to stop cheating.
If someone takes the scroll and delivers it to enemies, that person should be reported and get banned. If these things actually happen then it is obvious that reporting system is flawed.
