Like someone said, it may be fair for those people got affected, BUT it is not fair for other people who are doing stupid endeavor quests just to get 30-45 every day and people who waste hundred hours to get those style pages(I spent almost 4-5 whole days but only get 3 of them). Someone said they don't care about the 16k endeavors cause they already have 30k+, but I think if you have earned so many endeavors, you should know how hard to collect them day by day.
(I have collected more than 50k but only used it one time)
So I have a suggestion, why not make 16k endeavor as the tenth anniversary gift for everyone?

I was not banned, I consider this fair compensation. but I also think that zos could increase the chance of dropping these unfortunate style pages because I have no faith that even for an additional two days of the event i will receive the missing ulvor and helmet. Why are people supposed to receive them as an apology without effort, while others cannot receive them for weeks?

This is a fair take on the situation most people only missed out on a few hours of gameplay while the vast majority of people who accessed the pts still do not have their accounts back and I can understand how the event rewards being given as compensation can taste sour to those who actually attempted to grind them out as the drop chances are abysmal

Farming endeavors or style pages is *your* choice to spend time on or not.

Those affected by this issue *had no choice*

They've been locked out for 5 days and counting because they volunteered to test new content on PTS.

ZOS did the right thing for these people. ZOS did the right thing for PC-NA players for the 9 hour outage. I dont need, want or deserve the compensation those folks are getting.

We're also missing millions of gold in puirple event boxes that aren't being compensated. So no.

Millions of gold!? I’ve opened close to a thousand boxes during the course of this event and maybe found a dozen items worth more than 100k but with the market flooded I haven’t even been able to sell half of them.

Don’t get me wrong this was a colossal screwup and they should make reparations but the least they could have done is emailed discretely to the affected people and not broadcast this insane package in an attempt to save face that has only succeeded in making everyone else mad.

Lbr here, what did y’all miss out on really besides the mind numbing grind for these bedeviled style pages?

A lot of people have had that sour taste even before the PTS thing happened and there are lots of posts about it. Those style pages should be way easier to get (especially considering it's a limited time, huge milestone birthday party).

I just don't see the need some have to tie this into the PTS debacle and ragging on people who got locked out for 5 days and counting.

Right? I mean the endeavors are literally the only reason I log in every day. That was their very purpose after all. You get like, what 500 endeavors per week? Granted this particular week is more lucrative because of the Thieves Guild event so double it or even triple it but this is 33 times more than they could have possibly earned. On top of all the sanity they saved not having to farm the damn pages and the free time they enjoyed touching grass, lol. That should have been it own reward, tbh.

Anyway, whatever. Of course I am bitter but I don’t begrudge them the windfall either. Next time I am gonna be sure to be first in line when the PTS open and hope I get locked out for a week too. Lessons learned and all that, LOL!

Way too strong, IMO. I don't care for the seals or crates, but giving players who've been locked out for 48 hours all 5 style pages and all 25 fragments for the anniversary mount is a pathetic move on ZOS's end. I've wasted 50 hours on geysers and haven't gotten the style page yet. I've suffered the same 12 hour server downtime as the affected players, and all I get is a meager 200 seals? Absolute [snip].

those 50 hours are on you. You could have gone and done something different in the game. The players affected could not.

    I AM SO ENVIOUS!

I wish I got locked out haha!

I would have had all the event grind handed to me and 16k seals takes me months to acquire, partially why I stopped playing because I felt like to get cosmetics I want took months of patience and grinding, especially if I wanted to save up for an apex mount.

Hell I'd not play ESO for an entire month if it meant I could get 16k 😂. get a nice little break and get well rewarded.

Well done on the rewards guys!

Wow such huge, huge rewards and people still complain. Sorry to say that, but at this point you are just beein rude.

16k seals is a 6 months everyday grind. All the unique styles - are hours of mindless grind praying to RNG gods. The mount - the comfort of beeein covered not to miss anything from the event.

There really is nothing more that ZOS could have done to satisfy you, if you think there is, please write it on forums and I'm sure other players will say its still not enought.

At this point I've totaly lost my faith in this community.

Given that there's no estimates on when all locked accounts will be unlocked, so it's possible that the event will be over for some of them, I say this is fair.

But, but! To sour the mood: this also shows that they expect everyone to get the style pages. And no communication means this horrid drop rate is intentional.

Compensation too strong? For days those people were unable to play the game in which they've spent countless hours building their stories while the rest could carry on as normal. I wasn't affected and I can only glimpse the amount of frustration with which they had to deal. Oh, and this happened during a big and, for many, lucrative event. I don't mind their getting 16k seals. Heck, I wouldn't mind if they got 32k! Jeesh, let those players enjoy a little compensation for their grief. If some people would gladly be locked out of the game for 16k seals, good for them. I wouldn't. And I wonder how many of those innocent players who were prevented from playing because of other people's misdeeds think like that.

Nah, those of you who've been harmed in any way, guys, enjoy ZOS' generosity (no, this isn't irony).

People may remember how some months ago there was an issue with almost a day long maintenance, and to "compensate" for this, we were given a pet. Players unanimously decided that this was a slap in the face.

Seeing how ZOS takes accountability by giving you those gifts, I am proud of them (not that it matters in the least to them :P).

I agree with the rest, with the exception of 16k thousand Seals of Endeavor, don't you think that 16k is a lot? considering that the players have only been in the bathhouse for a few days and how long does it take to collect such an amount? Why not change this number to 8k? What do you think about this?

Does seem a little strong considering what PSN got in 2021 for 24-hour outage.

To alleviate some of the lost playtime from ESO PlayStation players, here's what we're going to do:
We are extending the Anniversary Jubilee event by a few days for ALL players – it will now run until Thursday April 15 at 10am EDT for all platforms
On PS4/5 only: The day 7 daily login reward will be modified to give five 150% experience boost scrolls (to make up for lost time)
On PS4/5 only: The day 8 daily login reward will be modified to give players this month's pet (the Ayleid Wolf Pup, previously awarded on day 21) to make sure no one misses the reward due to disruption in their play schedule
On PS4/5 only: The normal day 7 and 8 rewards will be moved later in the month, so you won't miss out on them either

I think it's on the low side to be honest, first off these players went onto the PTS to help test the game for ZOS. ZOS should consider themselves lucky that players go out of their way to provide feedback for them. So for these players to be "punished" for doing so is very unfortunate.

Secondly, this compensation is much much lower than what the industry standard is. Essentially ZOS is completing the event for them, which is only fair considering they lost out on a lot of the event. The gift saying that ZOS is sorry is then a free mount. That's it. Locked out of your account, an enormous amount of stress. Especially for the content creators. And what they get is just a free mount. Granted a lot of these players don't like apex mounts they primarily run their trifecta ones.

It's also a very strategic choice to choose endeavors because this is a free currency to give away for ZOS there is no way to purchase them and you can't gift them away either. Giving crowns and ESO+ would potentially have hurt their bottom line. But would have been a much more fair choice. The industry standard for this situation is a year's worth of subscription, this is what other MMOs have done in similar situations.

That being said I still think this compensation is going in the right direction and is more than I thought players would get, and that is a major W.

Also a side note here, players being given anything does not hurt you in any way, so stop crying about it, just be happy on their behalf, I farmed more than 1300 geysers for more than 45 hours. More than the entire time some of these accounts were locked. And I still think they deserved this compensation because the stress and anxiety they must have experienced must have been terrible.

    16k seals??? rly???.....

I have over 40K endeavors and nothing that I want to spend it on because I simply don't like any of the flashy, garish stuff you find in crates. I don't care if I get 16K endeavors or if I get 0 endeavors, because it's all worthless to me. And frankly, it's been eye-opening to see how much people are going crazy over something that I personally care so little for.

I'd much rather get the 240 boxes that I was getting every day across NA and EU, but no, I'm getting useless endeavors instead. And I know people who don't care about endeavors or the event and just wanted to participate in their scheduled trials and other endgame content.

But I'm okay with all this because what's important here is that ZOS is making a sincere effort to go above and beyond in an effort to say that they're genuinely sorry, and to rebuild trust with the people who were burned by this incident. I've personally seen a lot of people whose response prior to this announcement was, "I'll never do PTS again". And ZOS needed to show those people that they will indeed "make things right", and to that end, I think they've succeeded.

And as I've said earlier, the bound style pages is really a problem with the unwarranted grindiness of those pages coupled with them being untradeable and unticketable, and people who are (rightfully) frustrated by that grindiness are understandably lashing out. (Ironically, this was something that people who tested the Anniversary Event during the last PTS cycle pointed out.)

A compensation was the right thing to do, obviously. But 16 K endeavors ? That's like an radiant apex mount (if you change it to gold or crowns or euros or dollars, whatever, that's a huge amount) ! I think it's totally unfair to other players who gather those endeavors every day to get the mount they want. A compensation yes, but not any compensation.

Furthermore, People get the event styles without grinding it (have you seen that topic where people say they grinded for days ?!) : Giving that to players was already a great compensation. 16 K endeavors, that's just too much, considering the time it takes to get it compared to just a few days of not playing the game. I doubt players made 16 K endeavors worth of gold selling anniversary stuff during that time... Giving an apex mount why not, but radiant apex ?

This reminds me when people could ask support to get a radiant /apex mount they wanted that was not on sale at the current moment. So unfair to other players who did not know that "trick".

I think we all can read the frustration of grinding the style pages and the poor compensation of players not able to play in the past and getting very poor compensation, like xp scrolls or pets . All that combined, leads to this reactions now, even from the most chilled players I know . Is the compensation right, yes oc. Should be compensated that way , way earlier during downtimes. Again yes. Let’s hope Zos will keep up this way in future scenarios. Enjoy your seals guys, I hope you can come back to game as fast as possible. Wish you all the best 🙂

What most people seem to forget is that in addition of not being able to play we are getting a rollback of several hours on our accounts.

For me that means for example I'm not getting the rewards of the writs I did for my 20 toons, e.g. the 140 boxes, gold, tempers, master writs, hirelings.

not to step on any aggrieved toes but some of us with still-locked accounts had very much already tried to grind the style pages with nothing or near-nothing to show for it before this whole mess went down... I got the Barbas helmet around 40 Vvardenfell bosses in, but still no staff coming up on 150. had to take a break. I didn't tally dolmens or geysers but I farmed both for days until I couldn't stand it anymore. no staffs. I'll admit I didn't spend too much time fishing, but no lucky sword drop either.

but the idea that those of us temporarily banned are getting the style pages "without having to work for them" completely discounts the absurd amount of time a lot of us had already put in before getting locked out. I won't lie, I'm relieved they're all included in the already generous compensation package but I still think the drop rates never should have been this low to begin with. a lot of people clearly aren't having fun with it, and it's bred resentment in the playerbase.

will say though, as a craftaholic, I am hurting for those missed Jubilee boxes. minimum 77 a day (plus gold and mats) just for my daily writs... but I do recognize it would be tricky for ZOS to figure out how to reasonably compensate all affected players accounting for drastically varying levels of individual investment. I shouldn't complain. just feels kinda bad.

I'm on the rollback list, too, so I'm still out of the game for another few days. the seals at least give me a reason to look forward to the eventual return of the crates with those sweet aquarium furnishings. might have to reevaluate priorities around event tickets/fragments though.

I think it's about as fair as it can be with different players wanting different things. it needed to be a big gesture.

But why though? Compensation yes, but this level of compensation? Many have only lost 4 days worth of play yet they are getting seven months worth of seals.

Many, many other players in the past have had their accounts wrongly locked for far longer than four days or a week or even two weeks, for something they never did. Why did those players not get this level of compensation?

I wrote this about the compensation on another thread
"This makes me a lot less nervous about putting time, effort and money in the game. Because I can see they take the loss seriously, and understand that we care about the game.(Ok, loss is a strong word for such a fist-world-problem).

I am not locked out, but grateful for the compensation, both the 30 days eso+ and the ingame stuff. That's a decent way to make up for mistakes.

    Thanks :)"

And I'll just add that I hope this will be their compensation level in the future for issues. It'd give lots of good faith in the player base if people could fel safe they'd be compensated fairly when mistakes happen. And extending eso+ for anyone locked out by no mistake of their own should really be a legal standard too.

(Unironically) Maybe ZOS should've rolled back the server for everyone and just add another day to the event, everyone would've been equally affected and everyone would get the same extra event day

I still can't play, my trifecta achievement will be reset and I can do it again, no time to farm style pages etc since I have no idea when I will be unbanned. In the end ZOS decided this is fair compensation for an (ungoing) problem and hopefully for everyone unaffected this will be their thing going forward
