Isn't the compensation too strong?

I agree with the rest, with the exception of 16k thousand Seals of Endeavor, don't you think that 16k is a lot? considering that the players have only been in the bathhouse for a few days and how long does it take to collect such an amount? Why not change this number to 8k? What do you think about this?

We got locked out of our accounts for no fault of our own for voluntarily beta testing for ZOS. No, this does not feel too strong. It's enough to make most of us happy.

Many of us already have all the other rewards, we're also missing hundreds of seals from the theives guild event. We're also missing millions of gold in puirple event boxes that aren't being compensated. So no.

I think they deserve whatever they get for being inconvenienced to this level. They were innocent of any wrongdoing, just trying to test things. They deserve every bit of what they get, and it isn't for you to ask for it to be reduced in any way when they fought so hard to receive any kind of compensation or word on their issues at all.

I'm glad they're receiving such a generous reward. It makes up for days of getting boxes they missed, and will allow them to have some nice things to help them feel better after being locked out of their accounts.

How is it too much or what harm does it do? One cannot gift with Seals of Endeavor, nor indeed, buy things that can be gifted, so this should have no effect on the in-game economy.

Shouldn’t the compensation be not just to replace what was lost but some additional to make up for being locked out of their account through no fault of their own? No, I don’t think it’s too much and I’m glad to see ZOS working to make things right. For reference, I am not one of the players affected.

Dude. Are you serious? Don't be a spoilsport, let people have their compensation. It's a stressful thing to have your account locked for any reason and especially in a situation like this where you don't know if any changes that you may have done on PTS propagated to your real account (and there are significant risks there too, because often you delete items or characters on PTS). So it's a decent compensation

I think it's a great compensation package that will leave many players who weren't locked out envious. However, it's easy to feel that way because they didn't have to deal with the stress and uncertainty of being locked out.

It was a terrible error that resulted in a lot of completely undeserved suffering which required a lot to make right.

No, this is required. These players are missing DAYS of being able to play a game that many play on a daily or near daily basis.

And this is during an event that allows them to double their XP AND farm millions of gold worth of mats, recipes, patterns and motifs. The compensation does nothing to compensate them for that gold loss, and there is no practical way of doing that effectively.

On Tuesday I farmed 350+ boxes. Most days I only do 105 (all writs on all characters)

How could they possibly compensate a broad playerbase for the loss in gold with any vague level of accuracy? How could they possibly compensate players for losing access to the double XP event? (XP scrolls are NOT enough since these stack with the event.)

The only way to address the wide range of xp and economic loss these players are experiencing is to gift players a currency they cannot easily get through the event.

Am I jealous? Of course. Do these players deserve it? Absolutely.

I think the compensation is fair. (As long as it comes with a reinstatement of the ESO+ time that was said to be cancelled, but I guess that happens anyway.) And every player that was innocently hit by this thing deserves all those things to make up for it. Hopefully with the seals they can buy themselves something they enjoy!

Why would you want to take away from that? It doesn't influence us others who were lucky enough not to get hit, in any way, shape or form.

I wish it was that valuable. I'm doing 70 boxes a day, minimum, from writs, and there's no way I'd value their rewards at "millions," even for 3 days. Sure, you occasionally get a perfect roe or a potent nirncrux or a chromium plating, but the motifs sure as heck aren't selling. I've got 9 mules loaded up to try to start selling them after the event, when prices -- hopefully -- start to rebound.

I did not login in PTS. I got no account locked and yet. Yes, the compensation is great. But this is a good sign they care about what happened because the issue was so serious that could have lead to a big catastrophe. I'm glad for those who did get that compensation. And I'm glad too, that we had no rollbacks or any other serious issues. I could feel that they had been engaged in a hard work those days. I'd have much preferred to have never been locked out, to have got all the event boxes I would have farmed and in turn the millions of gold I would have earned from them, and to have avoided the stress of not being present for my groups and guild. Not everyone is the same, and the worth of seals will be different to different people, but there is no need to be spiteful just because other people are being compensated for lost access to their accounts.

That is a completely fair and reasonable take. While I personally believe a full rollback should have been done so that everyone suffers a few hours lost instead of some people losing nearly a whole week... you have a right to be glad there was no rollback and it's good to see you take the generous compensation for those who were locked out in stride. I can absolutely respect that take in spite of my personal disagreement on the original handling.

with 16,000 seals of endeavour they can buy a few cosmetics of their choice. how does that harm your gameplay experience? let them enjoy it, they had a rough couple of days that were filled with stress. it is thanks to PTS testers that we get the latest info on builds and ZoS gets free feedback. we should be happy that some of the most dedicated players in the game are having their time respected.

In this once in a decade debacle, the people affected were voluntarily taking time to test future content on the PTS.

They needed to go above and beyond for that reason alone, both to thank/apologize to those volunteers and limit lost participation on future PTS cycles (as much as they can).

They've met those goals and then some and I'm glad to see it.

I just hope the bad actors who were also involved are not receiving these sorts of rewards. For everyone else who has been locked out of their accounts, they have my sympathy. I appreciate that ZOS is trying to do right by them. I'd rather ZOS be generous with these folks than stingy.

i mostly just salty about the amount of time i had to grind for the motif pages. 400 dolmens was a bit much and was very boring. And im not even going to bother spending more time for the geyser one. They could have left out the motif pages if you asked me. The total value of the compensation is allot imo. But on the otherside. If i was banned i would be very happy with the compensation.

One way or another, It is a very good compensation for those affected. Not so much for those that where not affected.

I am curious tho. Will the people playing on PC/EU or the consoles get their compensation on their main server? or is it only send to pc/NA?

As I have pointed out previously, no issue with the compensation, jut a bit….disappointed? Unhappy? That there was nowhere near such compensation for when people got ‘banned’ / locked out over the Zos mistake with endeavours. I lost quite a few days & was really anxious at the lack of communication.

    Consistency would be nice.
