Isn't the compensation too strong?

Agreed. But more endeavors isn't going to fix anything. I honestly don't know what they could do realistically that remedies this situation.

Someone on Twitter (formerly X) had a good idea. All of these people should be getting Gold Road for free. They are diddling around with virtual currencies (tokens) and cosmetics. They need to step it up, I think, and free Gold Road... that would be a start.

That'd be pretty awesome. Unfortunate for me since I bought Gold Road right after logging onto the PTS and seeing a misleading message about needing Gold Road to access it on the PTS. :D I still think that'd be great for everyone who doesn't have Gold Road yet.

I would like to imagine if they did that they would refund us. But yeah I’m in the same boat. Bought it ten minutes before catching this ban. Feel my purchase was well rewarded.

What I'm not going to condone is making those people feel any worse by saying they only deserve what they get if my unrelated issues with the game are also addressed to my satisfaction.

I never said that. I just said that WE could use some help too but they won't even reply to any of our questions about it. Grinding every day just to be disppointed over and over hasn't been enjoying this event.

Discuss your style pages in the other thread then.

I’m fairly confident that Zos is currently trying to resolve service access to its customers. I’m pretty sure the drop rates for style pages are not even on their list of priorities right now.

    Perspective.

This. I completely agree with people who say that ZOS needs to acknowledge the extremely low drop rates and do something about it, preferably just give them out to everyone or make the drop rate so high it's near guaranteed. But that's a completely separate issue that doesn't overlap with us getting our accounts locked for over a week at minimum.

and how about I and many others who spent 40+ hours for farming all of them would be compensated?

For me that would mean that the compensation for the banned players would be reduced.

None of the blocked accounts were asked what they considered appropriate compensation.

Personally, I don't see this compensation as such. But just as advertising for ZOS. Hey look, we're doing something.

My own focus in the game is not mounts, whether Apex or otherwise. I have already farmed the breastfeeding pages myself on two accounts. Ok, I've been playing on the EU server for years. IT shouldn't make any difference in terms of drop rate.

In my opinion, the question of whether the compensation is too much is simply wrong. You should have asked if it was the right compensation.

    Google Translator.

Basics here. I pay for a product I have 0 access to. You pay for a service you DO have access to.

Since when do companies ask their customers what compensation to give you? They do not.

What with people who already bought it? :P Refund? No way ZOS will do it's fun to think about. At least anyone subscribed to eso+ will get days back and more. I already gave up this event when they extended 2 days into "possibly next week" but still its sad to not be even able to have at least one day to finish things up like buying cakes from Impresario but oh well, next year i hope :(

Did the compensation get even stronger now with below buff ? 🤣

Are we even having an event during May this year, before the release of Gold Road in June?

If there isn't a way to grant purple coffers as part of the compensation, and if there ISN'T a major event currently scheduled for May, then that would give ZOS room to extend THIS event a suitable amount of time to allow the locked-out folks (I'm not one of them), once they are unlocked, a chance to recoup what they lost (purple boxes) while not being able to log-in.

I think the problem is not that the compensation is too OP, it's just that the event itself is very underwhelming. I am sure that when they announced the compensations, many people thought "I'd rather be banned for a week than grind these damn geysers for 50 more hours".
And yeah it would be awesome if they gave some endeavors to everyone, not just those affected. Maybe not 16k, but let's say 8k :)

I think you're linking two completely different events here. Like many others.
      Firstly, the anniversary event.
      Secondly, blocking the accounts.

How many seals did you earn in the week you were able to play, or how many seals would it have been possible to earn? Login Reward, Daily Aspiration. So 16K is not 16k because every day that goes by the seals become fewer.

      A week is over.
I don't think there will be another server down before next Thursday.
Two server downs in one week are very unlikely.
So I expect the accounts to be unblocked on Monday in a week at the earliest.
If not in 14 days for the next scheduled maintenance.

The thing is, these 2 things are directly linked. If people weren't so unhappy because of the event grind, they wouldn't be so upset about compensations.
Don't you think it's kinda absurd that getting banned turns out to be a better way to get the rewards than actually playing the game? This is the real problem. You can grind the event every day and still miss out on the drops. This is why people are so bitter.
I hope this debacle won't affect their willingness to give something to players who were unjustly banned or otherwise suffered from bugs and other issues.

@luchtt Hi, I saw your post. My thought is first you guys are very respected. You may earn money from that but if someone thinks you are not selfless to play in PTS because of this, then this kind of person is really bad. The Zos turly should give you more. But this is a bad reason to only give the banned account because this sudden maintance hurt everyone in NA server whether they are banned or not. It's sudden so no player should pay for this maintance but it seems if someone's account isn't banned, then he should wait for this sudden maintenance. It's ridiculous. So my point is Zos should give all player. By the way, I only have two role on EU sever. You said it is compensation for being willing to test on PTS for so many years. It's unreasonable. Rewards are rewards, compensation is compensation. Zos should give you guys, many "teacher", kind people in ESO rewards. But this compensation they should give all. You shouldn't view compensation as a reward that you should get in many years ago. The most of other people in this post concern if it's too much. I want to say no it's not and all player should get it. Basically, due to some accounts have more banned time, and the other player are not banned, I think they should have three level compensation. Give more to more banned time. Give common to normal banned account. Give half of common to other player that they have to wait for the Zos problem.

It's really not though. We missed over half the event. We lost the ability to have a chance at any of the rewards because of a mistake from ZOS. We are getting a couple of the rewards, but I never got a chance to buy the furnishings and other stuff I wanted. I was already on track to get the Jubilee mount, I already farmed the 5 style pages. So most of this compensation is a nothing. I am sure plenty of others are in this boat as well.

Almost every player who has been banned now has been shifting attitude. At first its just a couple days not to bad. Every time it gets pushed back more end up in the "This is not worth it category".

At least for those of you not banned, you are still getting stuff to play. Okay so people are claiming they are at 500+ dolmens. Yeah that sucks but if you are farming in an appropriate zone you also have 500 purple boxes, which includes valuable crafting mats and motifs. You are still getting something out of it. If this means nothing to you then I'm sorry but maybe just stop, it is just a cosmetic that will probably be back next year.

I know a lot of players here think they would rather be banned but i guarantee you, if they were in our shoes they would be unhappy, mad about the lost opportunities, crafting mats etc. This whole "debacle" as you are calling it is made by people who aren't even affected. You already got your 200 seals missed from downtime and a 2 day event extension that none of us who are banned are even benefiting from. So please redirect your bitterness at ZOS and stop trying to take away the very few things the banned people are getting....

I would argue that it's possible, even likely, that the people who got hit with the ban are the people most likely to have farmed all 5 style pages by the time the ban hit.

The PTS was only up for 30 minutes before the servers came down. That means the only people on were the people who got in as soon as the PTS opened, which means it's probably very concentrated to:
      • Stream Team and Content creators
      • High-Level endgame players trying to test the new trial
      • Theorycrafters looking to test the new combat system
      • People who care deeply about the future of this game and interface with the PTS forum to test the content.

Now, which type of player would be most likely to have focused on farming the pages? Definitely points 1 and 4 above. Which type of player probably has a whole stash of Endeavor seals already and focuses more on playing the game than buying things from the store? Points 1-3 above.

I'm sure on the surface, it looks like ZOS is handing out freebies to people who were just tired of doing the farming grind (which, as most of the banned people will tell you, was pointed out as an issue on PTS when we were all testing this event and nothing was done to change it then). But we've been locked out of half of the event at this point, and for most of us the grind has already been finished. We put in the time for it. We suffered the same thing. I spent a week in Summerset doing geyser after geyser, and my main doesn't have the DPS to get boxes so I was literally doing it for nothing. I was actually happy when the page dropped since then I'd finally be able to go for boxes... and then this.

Don't take your frustration of the grind on those of us who have now been locked out for the better part of two weeks. I'd give you my pages if I could - I don't need them. But I do need the Columbine and other mats that would have been in those purple boxes. I do need the stacked XP now that I know I need to grind some stuff up on my main before the next update drops. And I do need the time back to go onto PTS and check some things out with my characters and report how things feel with a non-template character.

I agree with the rest, with the exception of 16k thousand Seals of Endeavor, don't you think that 16k is a lot? considering that the players have only been in the bathhouse for a few days and how long does it take to collect such an amount? Why not change this number to 8k? What do you think about this?

Nope. This was a very big deal to those affected.

I was not affected by the gross screwup.

Considering that the earliest they will get out of PTS jail is Thursday after the event ended I think the compensation is fair.
