And it needs to be a lot every single time people lose out on game time because of some massive issue from here on out. After this, we the ESO community can no longer accept some XP scrolls with a “whoopsie daisie” message. Because this response will make that look like an insult rather than a joke.

Wasn't the outcome obvious?
You can't give 7 months of endeavors, eso+ inclusive crowns, gold styles, another account and gold boxes to some people and leave the rest of the community out...
Of course it's unfair! I wonder who had that glorious idea?
Give half of the endeavors and eso+ to everyone or a similar fair piece of the cake and everyone is happy.
We also experienced inconvenience. Console crashes, unstable server performance, bugs etc.
Sorry but that outcome was so obvious!
At this point all the negative backlash is deserved.

I don't care for the seals or crates, but giving players who've been locked out for 48 hours all 5 style pages and all 25 fragments for the anniversary mount is a pathetic move on ZOS's end. I've wasted 50 hours on geysers and haven't gotten the style page yet. I've suffered the same 12 hour server downtime as the affected players, and all I get is a meager 200 seals? Absolute [snip].

I agree with the rest, with the exception of 16k thousand Seals of Endeavor, don't you think that 16k is a lot? considering that the players have only been in the bathhouse for a few days and how long does it take to collect such an amount? Why not change this number to 8k? What do you think about this?
Many of us already have all the other rewards, we're also missing hundreds of seals from the theives guild event. We're also missing millions of gold in puirple event boxes that aren't being compensated. So no.

Oh how the pendulum swings.

I very much appreciate the PTS testers, who basically beta test for free. Not a lot of people bother to do it, but the people who do help out the rest of us A LOT. They're some of our community's more dedicated members. I respect them.
So I'm okay with their compensation. I think they've earned it. Granted, there's a bitter resentful part of me that is sneering... but that's because it took me 400 dolmens to get the Staff of Worms, 140 geysers now with no Ul'vor in sight, and 20 Vvardenfell WB counting with nothing there as well.
I DETEST THIS EVENT, and the thought of them getting all five pages so easily while I've been made to suffer through seemingly endless tedium by a dev team that clearly doesn't respect my time... well, it makes me angry. If my upcoming kiddo was born, I wouldn't have been able to even attempt this event... and the thought of that boils my blood (both for myself and others) and makes me start looking for the uninstall button.
But none of the above is the fault of the PTS testers, and the more lucid part of my dolmen-exhausted mind is well aware of that. I'm glad they got their due, especially given that some of them had to live for days with the fear that 10 year old characters were GONE forever.
Just gotta fight back the bitterness on my end, is all. Great event, ZOS. :-P
Edit addition: also, I know it sounds weird to say they "beta test for free," when most beta testers I've ever heard of were volunteers anyway. But in my mind's eye, I view the PTS crew as a volunteer QA team, many of whom spend inordinate amounts of time trying to find bugs so that the vast majority of players don't have to be bothered by them. If not for the PTS crew, ZOS would either have to pass the proverbial buck onto the LIVE server players (which would be a miserable experience for all of us) or hire an actual QA team for mucho dinero to do just a fraction of what the PTS crew do.
They're good people.
Now I am sad that I hadn't been locked out. That 16,000 endeavors amounts to an extremely rare mount that most won't be able to obtain by paying a huge amount of money via crown crates. And it takes many months to collect that many endeavors

There were not millions in the event boxes, trust me. I sold everything that could be sold and flood of materials seriously depressed the prices.

It is sad that this is the response in the forums. How is this unfair? The decision has no impact at all on the players that were not affected by the bug and had their accounts closed. We can continue to play the game as we always have and the one day we lost has been given back to us.
The players that were affected by the glitch get some decent compensation. Maybe enough to keep them playing the game and more people continuing to play the game is a good thing.
Asking for compensation for other players woes doesn't feel right to me.
