How do you feel about the limit on furnishing items in large homes?

I have a large or a notable home/manor in ESO and I have decorated it and I feel the current limit on furnishing items is TOO LOW to allow me to properly decorate that home the way I want to.
i fully expect them to add "furnishing limit increasers" to the crown store at some point

Being how a single piece of fruit or a single vial counts as an item the item cap is far too low. If you are the kind of person into small details you will quickly run out of space.

My question to Zos is what's the point of these small detail items if there is not enough space to use them? Also why has Zos not addressed these question regarding housing item caps when they have been brought up time and time again since the release of housing?

It's undoubtedly one of those unfixable problems due to the game engine being broken situations. Not even sure there's any point discussing these things any more.
No the house load as an instance, same as an group dungeon or solo quest instance.
However it loads an specific house, house takes 70kb or something to store on disk for 700 items.
Houses are very light for server, no AI, no looting or other stuff.

And someone might break the system today, add 500 high poly items and 200 light then have 8 players duel each other.
Still would be less of an issue than trial trash fights.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Actually I made the same thread before. But unfortunatly it looks like most people don't care about it.
With a quick forum search I've found 17 threads on this issue on the first few pages of search results. And this is just threads that focus on this specific issue. There's many posts that bring it up in other threads with more general topics.

Of course not. But i guess developers could try to solve this problem if these threads caused sufficient resonance. But now it looks like it needs a small number of people. Maybe people who are interested in this don't attend the forum. Maybe the majority is only interested in issues of class balance or Cyrodiil's lags, and doesn't even have a house. Who knows.

Anyways I hope we can reach out to the developers :)

I recently purchased the Quondam Indorila, and attempted to furnish it as best I could. I'm an RP'er by nature, so I take care to add details to my abode.

I've hit the 600 limit (ESO+) and still have so much to go.

I would really like grouping to be a thing.

Let's say I set up a bookcase full of books and knick-knacks, or a table full of plates, glasses and food. I would like to be able to select all of the items (hold shift to select multiple items) and then group them into a single object (ctrl +g).

I can now move the grouped items as one, and all of the items in that group now count as 1 item.

I know it will never happen, but a girl can dream...

got both,a large and a notable both of them are filled to max and i now must store some items (f.e books from libraries or lights)
clearly the limit is too low for such large space, maybe double it

I believe it should be like this non eso+ 800 items eso+ unlimited and that would encourage players to upgrade to eso+ resulting more money made.

the non-ESOplus limit for my medium khajiit house is 200, and a lot of the large houses (especially Redguard) are incredibly bigger than the med khajiit. 200 for the med khajiit is already too low, so definitely increase the limit for large homes. I always thought the limits were for technical limitations

I purchased serenity falls and really regret it. With only 700 items able to be placed in such a huge area, I was never happy with how it looked. :(

I love jungles and tropic things, so as soon as i got the hundings palatial hall i started constructing a handmade jungle in the backyard, made out of bushes, plants, wooden arches, old statues and bricks and torches and what not, it looks amazing even if i say myself but it covers the backyard and it's already at 300+ items... if i were given the option i'd transform the entire area in a jungle!

except inside the house, imagine all the bugs in your kitchen or bedroom.

while i would like a few extra spaces, i would prefer the ability to allow access to multiple or even non primary residence homes to guilds,

so the parkor slaughterfish challenge i had to remove from daggerfall overlook's 'sea port' can be reconstructed at hundings palatial hall (if i managed to stop spending my money at the weekly vendor & actually buy the place) and i wont have to be online for people to get eaten by my slaughterfish while trying to deactivate my skyshard

I see absolutly clear, that notable house should have limit at least 1500, better 2000 with ESOPlus to be adequate decorated.
Now its too empty when limit reached. U can't make normal detail as usual eso world. Every town in locations is much more filled (think there are >=2000 things on same square)

I have several notable homes and they all need more items. I can't imagine trying to decorate the cavern without eso plus.
