Hey ESO Housing Community! It's that time again... *drumroll please*

Community Cobble Showcase #6!

The theme of this showcase is "Architectural Features." This is a rather large, amorphous category, so here are some guidelines (though as with the other threads, I leave it up to your ultimate interpretation RE whether you want to include it under this particular theme or not):

Things that are architectural features:

• staircases
• railings
• doors
• windows
• flooring and tile patterns
• wall paneling, wainscoting, and trim
• bridges

Things that are probably not (unless you want them to be! Seriously, I do not police this. I just like sparkles!):

• full structures
• appliances/fixtures/furniture
• wall hangings
• cabinets and shelves (unless structurally integral)
• planters
• water features and pools
• vehicles
• machines

I'll be hitting other themes in future showcase threads, but if you have any suggestions that you would like to see sooner rather than later, please feel free to PM me.

As always, I want to send a BIG thank you to everyone who has shared their cobbles in any of the community cobble threads. As I said in the first showcase post, ESO's housing community is amazing, creative, and so incredibly supportive of each other, and I hope that these threads will serve as a centralized, easily searchable method of showcasing and iterating on various cobbled designs. I also want to give a big shout-out and thanks to @StabbityDoom who takes the best notes in all of Tamriel and has really enabled the sharing of cobbles created by builders who are not typically active on the forums.

I can't wait to see what you guys have created!




Original Post, House-Keeping Stuffs:
(1) If you want to post a picture of someone else's cobbled design, please credit the builder in your post.
(2) No cobble is too "simple" or too "obvious" to be included. Sometimes the most brilliant, unique, and creative ideas come in the simplest package!
(3) Please continue to be the kind, creative, and supportive community you already are!

Step-by-step instructions regarding an easy way to post pictures (note there are tons of other methods if you prefer another way of doing it)

(1) Take a screenshot in game.
(2) Make a copy of the screenshot. If you used your computers basic "print screen" function to take the screenshot, you have already copied the screenshot and can proceed to step 3. If you used an in-game command to take the screenshot, use your file explorer to navigate to the following location to open and copy the picture: This PC -> Documents -> Elder Scrolls Online -> Live -> Screenshots.
(3) Post the screenshot into any Discord Channel by using the command "control+v" in the channel's message box. I typically use a personal Discord channel, which is free to create, but if you would prefer a housing-friendly discord to post into, feel free to send me a PM and I will shoot you an invite to my housing guild's discord channel (its open to anyone).
(4) In Discord, click on the picture you just posted; an expanded view of the image will open.
(5) Click "Open Original", which appears underneath and to the left of the expanded image you opened in step 4. This will open the image in your default internet browser.
(6) Select the entire URL of the webpage that opened in step 5. Copy the URL.
(7) In the ESO forum thread, "leave a reply" box, click the drop down arrow to the right of the tool that looks like a mountain and a sun in a portrait frame, labelled "attach image". Click on the "image URL" text box that opens, and paste the URL you copied in step 6.

Chichen Itza
I used platforms, stairs, walls, brass panels, and a greenhouse to create an approximation of the Chichen Itza pyramid in Coldharbour. Click for full size.

I used the cross-channels built into the platforms to create a "secret" maze entrance to the interior, with horrors around every corner.

As a natural consequence of using the platforms to form the exterior, the interior of the pyramid became a cavernous series of blocks reminiscent of something from Assassin's Creed.

I used one of the natural gaps in the platform structure to create a pitfall into a cage treasure trap from which there is no escape!

Here are a few of my structures. They're a little rough, but I like the aesthetic.

This is where I decided to put the kitchen and dining area for my overlook. The front was a little too wide, so I wanted to fill it in.


I also wanted to add a little loft for storage, so I put that above as its a very tall building.



In the basement, I put in this wall to separate the room a little.






In my Glade, I'm currently trying to make the "portal area" into its own room, so I built a wall!



In the bottom room, I made it into a library, so I added a nice entranceway.



Then, I built a two floor library, with the second floor having a view over the center below.

I'm honestly blown away by all of this.

Not sure if this qualifies as "architectural", but I used the tops of nightstands to create a "sorta" chess board, with ESO+ collectibles as the pieces. I didn't have quite enough mats for 8x8, so I made the board 8x6. I could also spiff it up with a border, and a floor base to fill in the empty squares, but that would take extra furnishings and I'm running low on slots. I also realized that there are more "good guy" collectibles than "bad guy" ones! C'mon ZOS, give us more bad guys!

Remember the "Daedric Throne, Skulls" bonanza where they were listed for 0 gold at the luxury vendor? Well, I've been sitting on a trove of ~800 thrones all this time, and I decided to use some... architecturally. So, I built a Daedric throne spiral ramp around the walls of my Snugpod, leading up to a platform made of - you guessed it - Daedric thrones!

So, real life things have made it... really hard to keep up with mailing people RE submitting their cobbles. After speaking with StabbityDoom (who sends me most of the screens) we decided it would be okay to just post the screens without mailing people first, as all of the screens were taken in homes that were published as open houses/which had open permissions.

That being said, if anyone has a problem with a screen I post, please message me and I will take it down right away.

I adore this so much. Look at how perfectly the door fits into the modififed hlaalu shed! and the little sign! And the shutter door! So freaking cute
