So we had a summer of DC's gate camping, a fall of AD's gate camping. Now we have a winter of EP's gate camping?

Do you guys on this campaign really hate PvP or what?

Stop worrying what color the map is and just get on to pvp. Once every one starts doing that, the population will come back.

That wasn't the tune you were singing when your guilds either faction hopped or left the campaign when EP wasn't winning, so spare me your sanctimonious crap.

Yep, but I have since gained wisdom and have come to realize that this is what eso pvp is. There is no way of policing it. That being said getting upset over how the map looks and just not zoning into sotha because your personal feelings are hurt because people arent playing the map YOU envisioned it is hurting this campaign. Just get in sotha. There are still players to contend with. Get in and have fun.

Also I have never been concerned about winning the campaign.

Cyrodiil campaign winners are determined by which faction zergs the hardest. Which faction zergs the hardest is determined by a cycle--If DC is zergy an AD guild will start up to combat that and zerg twice as hard, prompting a like reaction from EP the next cycle, etc. The people and guilds I know who faction hop mostly look for places where they are outnumbered instead of the ones doing the zerging, but I suppose that's not everyone.

It's funny to see people complain while EP is en route to a 30k~ score; when just a few months ago AD/DC were bragging about scoring 40-45k+ in consecutive campaigns.

That said, I switched to DC weeks ago, they're the true underdogs and it's been super chill on that faction.

Although it's easy to see why more people don't make the choice to play DC/AD. Level 5 Guards are obnoxious on no CP, which can make it tedious when the only crossed-swords you'll find are the ones you create. Especially when there's 3-bar Shor zergs just waiting to be latched onto.

I tried very hard to talk to the EP pushing the tri-keeps and they just refuse to understand the implications of doing that. Yes I came to get the scrolls for the pugs the first night I had emp but we didn’t hold them. We also set up a few farms on resources surrounding them but that is it. i don’t like a map that is one color either and Sotha regulars are asking a lot where were these EP when we were getting zerged down for taking a resource?

Just want to say it was really great last night having 3 bar pop on all factions. Great seeing DC with a population. And AD brought it like always. Great stuff every one!

Was also cool to see Dutch as empress on the 2 year birthday of DR.

Everything is too an extreme on this campaign, it's crazy. EP and AD zergs but for some reason never at the same time.

Yeah I've taken a fairly long hiatus from Sotha due to exactly this. It's usually either one or the other.

I did dip my toes back into Sotha over the weekend on both sides, some very good fights actually. As an EP main I can't lie, EP was mostly doing what they've spent the last 6 months complaining at the other factions for doing, but good fights nonetheless.

If DC had been stronger in numbers and/or skill (and didn't like pushing AD alongside EP) it would have been really a great campaign all weekend.

It's always heartwarming when my friends and I join sotha for an hour or two to PvP, just to have the entirety of the servers EP population get their big guilds after us with the EMP as well as enemy factions whispering us if we're coming back.
I have to say, sotha is the gift that just keeps on giving.

DC logged on for about an hour tonight and tried to take Roe, while EP also tried to take Roe, which was odd because it was our last emp keep and EP had emp. So the purple was strong, but the fights were still fun and the AP flowed.

Given the dominance of the AD pop, this is hardly surprising. If EP use some of it's forces to attack DC, or vice versa, AD just overrun them through shear numbers alone. The only real choice AD and EP have in that situation is to attack AD.

We did have 3 bars to 2 to 2. I'm not complaining.

...outside of hyperbole and faction rhetoric, how is Sotha these days? Apparently Shor is going to host some ball group, pop locked shenanigans on the weekend, and I'm not about that life.

Last time I went Sotha is just EP (and their Guilds whom I cannot name) morning capping the map getting their #1 emp who holds all the EMP keeps with superior numbers because there's little resistance, then AD forming a 10000 man resistance group taking everything back the following evening, basically.
Oh and DC owns the night time, that's when they're at their strongest, besides that they kind of just.. try.

This camp's the most fun with no emp and the factions each having a foothold on the map -- a series of AD & EP (and some D.C, surprsingly) night/morning-cappers & no-lifers have adamantly been denying such an environment & even trading emp and scrolls across factions lately as I understand it. Glad to see more active D.C. players in sotha recently but it seems like most of the AD & EP are more interested in an empty buff server than fun PvP. Pity. That's Suck Noriss level tactics, y'all are better than that.
