God willing, they've managed to cure some of the server side issues.
Nah, I have had some of the worst lag EVER tonight, I mean, spikes and abilities not firing off, having to hit my attacks 3 or 4 times , and enemies dying 2 seconds after I did the killing blow. Resource manager said 240ms lag tonight as well.
Oh well, I just keep hoping then. :weary:

Yeah, I may give it a break today and play SWTOR, cuz the lag made me significantly angry last night. I am getting to the higher levels now, and the consistent latency is so bad, that I can actually b lock, LET GO WHEN THEY HIT ME, and attack and it will register that I blocked -_-....

anyway after they blamed my provider my bro called the provider. The provider told ESO is full of **** they told it in nice words but it came to the point i will keep getting random disconnection, lags till ZOS fixing it (getting a EU called server in EU)

no need to fix it for me i got 30 more game days after that we w8 till F2P

The past week the games been getting more and more packet loss for me and at Veteran levels its a nightmare. Just wish they'd acknowledge people that aren't in America and realise that there are other continents on the planet.

I have no lag what so ever except for chat lag and bank lag. in the evenings its tricky to enter Cyradriil, but thats it. Once I am there, I get no lag.

Then again, I have a computer that can handle it. Do you?

Also, I copied this from another thread where I posted.

your ignorance is showing. This game does NOT have highly demanding specs. Also, latency has 0 to do with the computers specs. I have a consistant 180 ms lag during the best of times, and up to 300 at times.

My system is more than capable of playing this game, HELL I can play Battlefield 4 on ultra w/60 FPS connected to the EU servers with 9 MS LAG, again, your ignorance is showing. ALSO, my net has ZERO to do with the connection, I did a test to Texas, and I had 0%packet loss ratio. So for me it is NOT Packet loss, it is SIMPLY the damned distance, educate yourself please. Here, a screen shot.

    97296830.png

NOW lets look at Frankfurt, where the damned servers SHOULD and are SUPPOSED TO BE.

    97297075.png

Oh would you look at that ?! The connection MYSTICALLY GOT BETTER, oh wait, its not mystical, its physics....

I am swedish and playing on EU/UK server thats currectly based in the US. There has been more and more complaints about lag so I wonder if I just am lucky. I dont use any addons but that can hardly be it?

We get Bank lag like everyone else. And chat lag. But I still have not laged in game. I played MMORPGs sincee the mid 90ies. Everquest (first 2 years the servers where in usa. Eve, Anarchy Online, Star wars Galaxies, SWTOR, EQ 2, and of course WoW, which have turned into a game for people who dont really want to game. Just sit and watch TV while they get free loot....sigh.

I am sure your system is what you say it is, but you are aware that ESO is a totaly new type of MMO, new engine and new technology to work everything.

I dont know what does lag for people, only thing I can say is that I do not lag once I entered Cyradriil and 100s players clash in battle.

MAYBE because I usally use a catapult or archer. I am a tank, but its not possible to tank a whole army, nor should it be, and no, I am not a vampire.
Just curious where lag comes from when I seam to get very little of it. Chat lag I get. Bank lag is constant but thats it.

Lag does not appear when moving. Ever. Because movement is just queued and sent, so you don't see rubber banding. You will see lag trying to sneak, cast, mount and block as these need a server confirmation response before they happen.

I just managed to play four hours of dungeon and PVP with little noticeable lag. I did get disconnected twice in PVP during large battle for unknown error, however.

Why don't you guys just move to America? It might be a little difficult to get set up over here but the freedom is worth it.
  • fiilowizhb16_ESO
People underplaying this forget that _every_ action gets at least twice that time added.
Once for the request to hit a target or activating a skill, and then once for the responce from the server. That amounts, at the _very minimum_ (only in theory) to a third of a second of delay to every single action, in reality its often much higher, because several of these transactions between the client and the server is needed amounting to seconds of delay and not MS.
And there are _NO_ optimizations in the world that can remedy this, its pure physics, the Only solution is to get the damn servers moved, and that should have happened yesterday.

You have your MMO's (cough NCSoft) we have ours, if you want to buy an American product from an American company located in the US of A latency is going to be a thing.

Of course it's in their best business interest to expand, but right now I can't hold a lot of sympathy because you knew this would happen.

You don't see me bitching that I can't play South Korean MMO's without lag from here.

Also amazing. It was only at last moment, the same month as launch, that Zenimax announced the Europe megaserver would be based in Texas in the US.

After actually being promised to be in the EU.
  • matt_wardeb17_ESO2
Hi, folks. As Game Director Matt Firor recently stated in this article, we still plan on moving the EU server, though we do not have an exact timeline to share. We are going to continue evaluating when the best time to migrate the servers is and will be sure to provide our players with an update when we can. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience.

I cancelled my sub because of this.

Actually, you did just *** >_>. And no, I didn't know it would happen when I purchased the game back when it was first released for pre order. When I ordered it for pre order, they said there we going to be EU servers in the EU and Us servers in the US. I paid with a debit card, so I was charged on the spot. By the time the announcement came that EU servers were going to be located in the US, I had been charged, and no refund was possible.

Also, NCsoft has EU servers located in the EU and Us servers in the US. See, because the EU knows a world exists outside of the EU.

US of Corporate Prison Systems. Seriously though, there are some nice states out there. Maine, Oregon, Washington State, but they are overshadowed by the backward thinking states that are run by cavemen. In their defense though, a lot of their prisons might as well be vacation homes for a lot of their inmates, considering the neighborhoods they come from. Some PURPOSEFULLY try to get imprisoned again cuz they have it so good there. Lets compare that to Russia who still has work camps, and recently passed a law outlawing profanity in art and media, and Egypt who is executing people by the 100s atm.

I dunno if my computer can handle this extremely resource-heavy game. It is only Core i7 4930k @4,6GHz, 32Gb RAM 2400MHz, GTX780Ti SLI, game running of separate SSD, 1Gb connection. Obviously problem is in my spec and not in terrible servers which makes Cyrodiil unplayable due to network lag with more then 20 ppl in proximity.

Yeah, sadly no repsonse we can use yet, and now i'm finally unsubbed as of yesterday.
Such a shame seing as I really liked what the game is (apart from the horrendous latency situation that is).

So once again; Zenimax, PLEASE give us at least an ETA accurate to "what month are you planning to move the servers?", and if you are NOT moving the servers as some are speculating, let them know that too, or be forever known as the company that lied to and manipulated the european playerbase.

On topic, yeah, they had 6 years to set this up, I don't understand how they need "more time" , seriously, how much time does one need?! In that time MS set up over 300 thousand SERVERS!
