    Top Pain Points (all PvP)
Pain Point 1: PvP Balance. Nerfs to anything that kills ballgroups, if optimized groups are suppose to be so great, why do they constantly need new sets to help their play style (Rush of Agony) and nerfs given out to anything that counters their play style (Azureblight). Also, players can be super tanky, high dps, run at speed cap and heal to full health. There needs to be give and take, leave the "god mode" stats for the PvE experience. Heal stacking (not cross healing... heal stacking from skills like Echoing Vigor)
Pain Point 2: 12 player groups, return 24 player groups. When this was done it was said it had no effect on performance and it was to align to sets. Sounds like regurgitated reasoning from a ballgroup, but reasons aside, the change hurt organic groups that pick up from zone, Zone Generals that pick up from zone. This change hurt community growth and group forming. There are not many people willing to lead groups and even less willing to pick new players up from zone. This change limits exposure to group PvP, which is one of the biggest attractions of Cyrodiil.
Pain Point 3: Friendly fire needs to go. Plague break is a nice concept, but has players lecturing new players running purge as well as templars about purging, and the set is procced off other sets (& CP) that purge, allowing for malicious troll activity. Changing all purging sets to group would hurt organic zone groups from picking up from zone due to trolling.
Pain Point 4: 99 sets but meta ain't one. Meta only coming from newer sets. Revisit old sets that aren't being used/nerfed under old combat systems.
    Pain Point 5: Lip Service.

Bug 1 When using the controller on PC the ability to interact with things gets disabled and the only way to get it reenabled is to reload the screen. I have no idea what causes it or even how to reproduce it.

    Top Pain Points
Pain Point 1 Overland is too easy. I understand why there is a need to have an easy overland difficulty, but for where I am at, with how easy overland my favorite activity (namely questing) is boring and even if I stick with level 1 unenchanted gear and only take champion points that do not affect combat it is still too easy.
Pain Point 2 Story mode dungeons and trials. I want to go through those stories on my own and not under pressure from running with a group.
Pain Point 3 Getting PVP gear. The idea that the only way to get PVP gear is either to purchase it (with gold or alliance points) or to play PVP is really annoying for someone who sucks at PVP
Pain Point 4 Trying to make sense of what affects what. I am a CP 2500 player and I still have no idea what affects what for buffs verses abilities. About the only way I can ever hope to get a good build is spend way more time than I have or to try to copy a built found online.
Pain Point 5 Trying to understand what all the numbers mean. It seems that you have one number system for the buffs, one number system for the stats, and another number system for the damage.

    Top Bugs/Issues:
    1. BUG: Camera should not change FOV when selecting items from the F5 Housing menu. Explained: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/658782/housing-editor-placing-items-changes-camera-fov-zoom
    2. ISSUE: Quest markers for WBs, delves, etc. should show at their location when viewing map at any Wayshrine.
Current behavior: Quest marker tells you to exit the city (duh). This is especially bad for new & returning players who do not know the name of every WB (which doesn't match their Map location or quest name - also not helpful when trying to form groups) and end up having to do the Wayshrine > ???? > J > M > place custom marker > Wayshrine dance repeatedly, each event.

      Explained with potential solutions: https://moonpile.tumblr.com/post/774590743855644672/tab-tab-tab-tab-tab-eso-housing-uiux
    2. PTS / HOUSING: Please give NA more time on PTS. (And/or include stacks or infinite boxes of Achievement and Luxury furnishings, as done for other items like crafting mats.) Explained: https://moonpile.tumblr.com/post/774033100116295680/eso-u45-pts-is-back-on-eu
    3. HOUSING: Option to swap Collectible furnishing slots for Traditional, and vice versa. (Now that there's no need for 100s of crafting stations in any house, option to swap a crafting station's slot type from Traditional to Collectible).
    4. HOUSING: Individually-set item-interactivity permissions for visitors. Ideal example: 1. Lock all items (as is currently implemented via Limited Visitor) then 2. manually unlock specific items that would be OK for guests to use.
      Explained: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/648396/one-of-my-top-wishes-individual-item-permissions-for-visitor-interaction
    5. FLYING PETS: let them SIT! Also, please auto-ban Twilights from banks.
    6. HOUSING: Hide NPC paths in Edit Mode when not actively being edited. (Eye strain when building and visiting homes.) (Sorry, I'm borrowing a Bug slot for this one!)

Opening treasure chests or heavy sacks near edges in trials that for some send flying off the edge

Treasure chests or resources stuck deep underground

Phantom Treasure chests that are seen from afar, but disappear upon moving closer then reappear moving away

Being in combat despite being far far away from what is chasing you, the drop aggro takes too long

Being in combat when everything is dead in dungeons, barring you from proceeding to the next instance of the dungeon

Non stackable treasure maps (do you see a theme)

The constant improvements and features of the game that benefits everyone except Werewolves (vampires got a remake)

Never having enough inventory space, it's an all day event for us Traders, to manage it...add some more 30/60 storage chests, maybe add a 100 storage chest, you get cash we get storage, no harm no fowl.

Opening Crown crates too fast sometimes voids out a crown crate...I've checked the notifications, never get anything when that happens

The constant feeling, the game is being made easier for new players (who may not last longer than 3 months) by destroying the economy with constant flooding of past items, motifs, style pages, that anyone who saves to sell later is wasting their time and effort. (So many trade guilds that have been around for years died since Gold Road, people I knew quit the game over the depression in PC/NA) We're in a Recession, but it feels like efforts are being made to send us back to a depression.

Reading other posts....Make companion gear de-constructable also make Mythic gear de-constructable if reconstructed

Companions standing still after you rez them while in combat...I took time to rez the companion, it shouldn't just stand there

A companion will chase down an enemy you ran passed and re-aggro the mob, however a companion's react time to attack a mob while you're fishing is like why do I even have you out with me?

Zones that have no public dungeons nor dolmen like thing, some say it's due to size, but S Elswyer is smaller than Murkmire, but has Group Dragons...

It seems it stopped with Summerset, but none of the expansion past summerset have traders in other towns aside from the main city. Add more trader locations

    Bugs
    1. the game sometimes bugs in IA when getting a verse - i can't see the interface or leave it and have to crash the game. i have never played werewolf so it's not that.
    2. ever since housing launched player-made floors will not hold ground based abilities - they go to the ground underneath instead.
    3. the Golden vendor sometimes loses her buy tab and acts exactly like a vendor assistant. this usually seems to happen toward the last third of her time frame.

    Pain points
    1. there is a neat hour long buff you can get to boost your ap gains in cyrodiil. just kill a delve boss in cyrodiil. if you have never killed it before on the account it spawns right away and you can kill it and get back into the action! but if your account has the achievement you are punished by having to wait several minutes for the boss to spawn.
    2. i am photosensitive and i agree there are several way too bright flashes that need to be toned down. scrying is the worst imo and i made a forum post about it at the time https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/529851/scrying-interface-has-too-bright-flashes . but even when i turn my head away to avoid seeing the scrying flash i still get headaches from digging things up because every time you uncover a square of treasure it gives a huge flash. i get that you want to indicate i got somewhere but the flash would be just as effective at 20% of its current brightness.
    3. i've been playing eso since launch and i've really loved it until the last few months. all because of the scribing system. it sounds cool and i thought of some neat things to do with it. i was happy when i read that it was curated. i thought id just get all the scripts on 1 char and go on and do it on the next. but to my horror char #2 wasn't getting her script drops curated! i have 18 beloved chars to feed. the affix pool is 20. i cant do 10000 quests every day over and over in what little spare time i have from rl without getting thoroughly burnt out. this needs to GO. the scripts should have been curated by CHARACTER not account from the beginning like i thought. but it would be vastly better to just unlock them once for the whole account to match the actual curating. we didn't need another gold sink and not only is the cost punitive for those who have multiple characters (not everyone is rich!) but the scripts aren't even reliably available on the vendors.

    1. Stackable treasure maps AND show the treasure map dig site when the map is put in inventory (my friend's new character can see dig sites just by pulling a map from the banker or from mail but I have to run away and come back or log out to refresh the dig site).
    2. Being able to search the guild stores for "unknown"
    3. Prioritize the unknown motif leads that come from treasure maps... Ya don't need to curate all leads but for goodness sake, give those of use with sucky RNG a chance to complete a set. This last event was great for finding the Blackwood/High Isle/Deadlands motifs but I kept getting the same leads. Curate the leads for motifs that come from treasure chests. Some of us (OKAY ME!!!) have the WORST RNG and need a little help.
    4. Change the color of the way point for the current quest to something other than white. All white blends in with everything else.
    5. If we can't auto stack guild bank items, give an option to toggle auto stack personal inventory items. I hate having to pull items out of the guild bank, stack them and then put them back. When there are a lot of items to stack, I run out of space in my inventory and have to do multiple pull/stack/replace to manage the bank.
    6. Allow stacking of runebox items in guild bank. These take up too much valuable space
    7. Infinite archive and companions - Since companions are treated as duo, allow me to choose a vision/verse for them.

Having thought about it, my top 5 pain points:
    1. Antiquity leads for furnishings in the new zones, especially after the first codex, don't seem to drop reliably, if at all. I experienced this in the IA, and have seen this reported for Apocrypha and West Weald zones. Alternatively, please make antiquity furnishings purchasable after acquiring the first codex.
    2. Companions - in particular older ones like Bastian and Mirri - do not have a wide variety of dialogue, leading to overly repetitive comments, eg. comments entering town or while harvesting. I'd love to have our older companions updated, and more dialogue in general across the board.
    3. Too many chest pieces with huge hip and crotch flaps.
    4. Inability to preview dyes and crafting motifs before they are collected.
    5. It should be easier to dismiss our sorc summon. Could we have the summon bolded and pinned to the top of the buff list, perhaps? If you have a long list of buffs (eg. as Oakensorc), the pet summon is several scrolls down at the bottom of the list. Alternatively, please make them invisible in towns.

    1. some classes get easy access to the major buffs, others don't. I know there are many examples for this but to name one, templars would need to slot a weak ability for the crit buff and use it when in combat (slotting isn't enough & they can't even prebuff it), and for the spell/wpn dmg buff they need to use the stam morph of the pretty much destroyed jabs spammable because for some reason, the buff isn't even on the base ability (still no slotting and done or at least prebuffing possible, and nothing for support players).
    2. skills not going off, bar swap not going off, forced double cast of abilities like budding seeds and caltrops
    3. hybridization is still incomplete
    4. in combat bug
    5. queue bugs

    Top Pain Points

    1. I lose motivation to test things on the pts since I can't reconstruct new items anymore, and instead have countless boxes in boxes in boxes stacked in my inventory, cluttering it and making the whole process so much more annoying and time consuming.
    2. many, many great chest styles are ruined by the weird, badly fitted side and front flaps
    3. body markings should really not remove argonian scales and khajiiti fur. makes markings unusable for my beast race toons
    4. sorc pets make me hate sorc players. They need to be invisible to other players or automatically get dismissed in towns, & an option to disable seeing them in content as well as they block the view for other players.
    5. the way surveys work, especially when you have multiples

Bug 1 - The Banner Bearer visual and sound effects are far too annoying. They need to be toned down. I understand that at least the sound is a bug, but the visuals also need to be adjusted.
Bug 2 - The Dungeon Finder gets bugged so often, it's infurating. Are you telling me no damage dealer is available to join a group for 30 minutes in a group that has a tank, a healer and a dd, at 20.00 on a tuesday? And why is it that when delisting and listing again, we get a member instantly?
Bug 3 - The bugged Spriggan boss in Moon Hunter Keep has led to a few of my groups disbanding because of invulnerable Spriggans. Extremely annoying. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/636107/moon-hunter-keep-completely-bugged-cant-finish
    Bug 4 - Heavy attacks stopping: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/668394/heavy-attacks-auto-canceling#latest

    Top Pain Points

Pain Point 1 - I have never felt at home with any ESO class. Arcanist is the newest, "most exciting" class, but the bar is set so low in ESO... This game desperately needs classes that break away from the classic 2-bar DoT, buff and spammable gameplay. Oakensoul was a very welcome addition to the game, but because of the lower DPS it cannot be used for serious end-game content. Arcanist was slightly different with the combo-based gameplay, but there is so much more to be done when it comes to gameplay variety. ESO needs to do crazy experiments with new classes, that provide entirely new ways to play. One should take inspiration from other MMOs, which have classes with priority-based rotations, proc-based rotations, classes that are permanently limited to one bar but receive other benefits for the lack of flexibility, classes that have unique capabilities such as glinding och hopping, etc. Everything in ESO has been extremely conservative when it comes to gameplay design and I really hope that changes.

Pain Point 2 - The UI. I don't think I have ever played a MMO with a worse UI than ESO. It needs a complete overhaul, not even mods make it good. It is 2025 and we cannot use keyboard modifiers when setting up keybinds. We still can't do anything except Accept or Deny Group Finder group invitations.I want to use the minute one gets to empty their inventory or change build.
The report function in this game is extremely bad compared to other games. There is no Report button in the menu when rightclicking a player name in the Battleground score screen. This makes it hard to report griefing. The chat also disappears when someone leaves a group or is kicked out from a group, making it impossible for the player to provide any evidence of griefing.

Pain Point 3 - The Necromancer class. It's what brought me back to ESO, I love minion builds. Unfortunately, the Necro is not even a real pet class. It's a class that has delayed-damage abilities and minion-themed buff dispensers. It is such a shame, and such a waste of the Necromancer potential. They don't even have permanent pets like Sorcs do! My disappointment is immense and I regret purchasing it. It has also lost a lot of its appeal since they are no longer needed to provide easy access to Vulnerability in Trials. It's not a bad class balance-wise, far from it. But it fails miserably at delivering the Necromancer class fantasy. I hope it gets reworked.

Pain Point 4 - The lack of hairstyles, fur/scale options and the fact that body markings remove fur/scales/scars. So little attention has been given to character creation over the years. It is in dire need of an update. Our characters are often the ugliest characters when exploring new content. NPCs have far better hairstyles than PCs, and I have even bought all the packs.

Pain Point 5 - Trying to balance skills for Battlegrounds, Cyrodiil and PvE at the same time. I hate that you try to do this. It is so infuriatingly limiting for class balance and fantasy to make sure that skills "won't lead to too much stress in Cyrodiil". Please, stop. It's hard enough to balance for PvP Battlegrounds and PvE at the same time. Most other games understand this and, at the very least, have the skills work a little bit differently in PvP. You're already started with some skills, even though it's just tweaked numbers. Here's an utterly insane idea: if Necros spawning lots of pets or minions are a problem in Cyrodiil, just ban Necromancers from Cyrodill. At character creation, write "Necromancers have no interest in joining the Alliance war, where their craft is considered a crime.". It's that easy, and it leads to an enhanced sense of class fantasy. Not every class needs to have access to all the game systems.

    1. Being booted from server in world or instance, for no apparent reason
    2. Lost lobby connection when teleporting
    3. Not being able to log in for a while after either of the above
    4. Group dungeon quest progression being blocked by "dungeon sprinters" (and then there's the lever pull quest issue in Volenfell). I don't feel "story mode" is the solution, rather redo quests so they can't be blocked and/or build in ways to discourage sprinters.
    5. Visual vomit on skills and fights has spiraled out of control over the last years

    Top pain points:
    1. Horrid progression in provisioning and - to a lesser extent - alchemy crafts
    2. Non-stackable treasure maps and non-tradable survey maps
    3. Armor hip flaps
    4. One-shot mechanics are used far too often do make bosses/events more "difficult"

Only "bug" complaint I have is that the game doesn't run very well - freeze, stutter etc. is very common/constant, especially in towns and in areas with a lot of players. The latest event was unplayable for me in some areas (geysers) for the first couple of days.

    Pain points:
1 - Housing furnishing limits are way too low for many houses, and should not be dependent on whether or not you are subscribed.

2 - The Craft Bag should also not be tied to subscription. Maybe have it so once you've subscribed once, you get it ever after?

3 - Companion unlocks should be account-wide or *optionally* account-wide.

4 - There should be an item or unlock to make it so you can load into a house in a chosen location! So many areas of larger houses are virtually unused or even blocked off, because they are so far from the entry point that, besides the first few times after you get the house, you never go to them or explore them. One example I could give is Stillwaters Retreat. I would love to be able to load into the frozen lake area, rather than the Dwarven cave.

5 - Ability to search *all* guild stores for an item, in-game.

    Pain Point 1.
One Hand and Shield sets (e.g. Puncturing Remedy) should reward all of the One Hand weapons for that set at once since there is no mechanical difference between them for the skill line. It is frustrating to have to grind that set 3 more times for sticker book completion when nothing changes with each new version you aquire. This would be similar to how when you get a robe of a set, you automatically get the jerkin as well, there is no need to go back and farm for the jerkin.

    Pain Point 2.
Allow us to store Master Writs and maps in the craft bag or let them stack.

    Pain Point 3.
Since they're not tradeable and account bound, let Surveys behave like Leads, in that Account storage area that is not inventory. Also let us harvest them as a stack, instead of forcing them to be reset.

    Pain Point 4.
Give us an option to allow other players access to our housing storage. Even if this requires a new unique storage type.

    Thanks for your time.

Main Server: PC/NA (also play PC/EU)
Play Style: Housing and Super Casual

Edited after playing more in game content that is incredibly frustrating, instead of incredibly fun.

    Bugs:

    1. Quest markers still do whatever they wants for certain quests, only showing the boat/gate that leads to a region, versus the final destination.

    2. Getting booted from game, and not being able to log back in unless I swap from NA to EU (or vice versa) and then try the login again.

    3. I can't cover Bastion's face with a mask, helmet, bucket, or vat of cheese. I have so many cool outfit options I would love to try on my various companions, but instead I'm stuck with them awkwardly staring at me.

    4. Why are instruments in homes disabled in 'Limited Visitor' mode? they automatically reset to their default position, they should be playable. Same with the khunzar-ri collectible, it automatically resets to default, let us keep it active in limited visitor mode.

    5. Companion portals are bugged when playing in a group. Whenever I have been in a group and we are doing Zerith var's quest, the quest ALWAYS bugs out anytime he creates a portal we have to go through. It pops up then disappears a second later before either of us can actually enter. We then have to reread all the quest information to figure out where we're supposed to go to continue the quest (and hope we have a wayshrine close enough, cause low level horse riding isn't fun)

    Pain Points:

    1. Companion Mode for Dungeon Queues:
Not being able to queue up for Random Dungeons with JUST my spouse and are 2 companions. Basically, letting us use a premade group of us and companions to queue (no option to requeue is needed since it's a 'private' group). We miss out on all the perks of random dungeons because we want to play together, not with a bunch of randoms. We seriously thought companions would solve this issue, but they don't count for dungeon queues, even thought they 'count' as one of the 4 people when running the content.

    2. Companion Combat:
Not being able to have a flag/setting that lets companions stay in 'melee range of my position' or 'ranged range of my position', or 'stay in this spot', regardless of if they have a melee or ranged weapon, and without the need to use the quirky 'companion recall' type commands.

    3. Companion Pathing:
Not being able to have houseguest/companions perform a limited number of emotes for house pathing (or even in the wild for companions).

    4. IA Cycle Bosses:
Not being able to swap out the Cycle bosses in Arc 1 of the Infinite Archives. Wife and I just want to do our dailies, but we end up getting bosses with crazy mechanics that we just can't pull off with our reflexes It's really frustrating to get 4 cycles in and lose all your threads. At that point we just don't do the archives for a few weeks at a time.
Could we get an option to spend one of our lives to replace the Cycle boss, at least for Arc 1? This would let people who want to complete the dailies actually have fun doing the daily. It won't impact the hard core player, who clearly have the reflexes and knowledge to handle all the mechs.

    5. Tales of Tribute Base Deck (Beginner) Mode:
Tales of Tribute, just playing any ESO content in general means I earn a LOT of patrons and cards for ToT that I have no clue how to use. I would love to have a mode where I can JUST use the basic 4 decks and play games with decks I understand to get my dailies done. I've just given up on even trying for the most part, but this option would probably let me start playing again and get some semblance of fun from this game.

Housing pain points other than more slots :D
    1. Not being able to set a 'welcome mat' type object in homes to determine the port in point for a home. Would be limited to 'in bound' positions only, and could also be restricted to a dev created list of specific spots per home.

    2. Not being able to sort my personal list of homes by Nickname. It takes forever to sort through a list of DOZENS of homes to find the dozens of storage homes in the list, since there are too many for me to remember by name, cause you know , no furnishing storage. But 'this' pain point is a request to 'sort homes by Nickname', it would be a HUGE Qualify of Life change.

unofficial wishlist: magic orb reskin for staves , preferably onyx colored... B)

Random Request: but if would be really great to have a private battle ground mode where you didn't earn rewards, but was just there for running private group BGs for guild events etc.

Thanks for looking into this for the players. Also, thanks for the incoming Weather Control! <3

My only bug issue that hasn't been covered (at least that I saw) by other posters is Zerith-Var's voice lines being audible to the world at the end of dolmens. Even if hes not your companion, and it's every single copy of him - so when there's a dolmen heavy event it's 4-5 overlapping voice lines .

Pain points, Subtitle: Add Ons shouldn't be the solution

    1. Furniture crafting is a disorganized mess. No way to search or know what crafting table an item is crafted on.

    2. Bank space cap is too low. Hasn't been updated ever (? Or not for a while) yet more unique materials, items and systems with stuff have been added to the game.

    3. Gamepad UI on PC is terrible, missing functions (like COD checkboc in mail) some people need to use a controller for RSI issues, etc and this UI has been substandard forever.

    4. Home editor camera being tied to.player position instead of free floating makes decorating a slog, particularly in smaller homes where you can only back up the character so far (this is a big "use an add on" one that drives me crazy)

    5. RNG on antiquity leads. We're going on 7 months since Gold Road was released and I still haven't gotten the last music box lead despite farming the heck out of those dailies and now that the zone is "stale" getting those done is harder. Inversely, some leads drop far too often - Ayleid tree statue for example (I have gotten that 8 times and finally just stopped digging them up- see point #2)

Bug 1 Marauder Gothamu being untargetable by most companions. There have been no updates on when it will be fixed and I see no mention in U45 thus far. https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/668300/marauder-gothmau-is-bugged-with-companions#latest

Bug 2 Cyrodiil perma combat lock and inability to use mounts, change skills, etc.

Bug 3 Dungeon queue system not functioning well with partial groups and seeming to take way longer than it should to find replacements.

Bug 4 Heavy attacks seem to break in some situations, I think there is a set or ability as it only happens when with some players attacking. Null Arca or Tarnished nightmare maybe? It sounded like a fragments ability went off on the dead boss shortly after it died.

Bug 5 Charges can permanently lock you into the animation and never end until you die. I think it is when you charge a target that dies before you reach it. It has happened to me a few times in Infinite Archive.

    Top Pain Points

Pain Point 1 Companions need the buff treatment in overland vs world bosses and some other areas to not die nearly instantly.

Pain Point 2 Scribing buff times could use increases and more variety of buffs added to the skills. Empower added to banner bearer?

Pain Point 3 Could we get more two bar heavy attack builds, and just more viability for the playstyle at end game levels. It's splash was really nerfed and could use some compensation. More sources of empower please and sets that seem heavy attack focused but do not buff heavy attacks base damage.

Pain Point 4 vanilla dungeon quests need an auto update option IE Vaults of Madness dialogs are rather annoying. Also Selene's tends to bug out at the start if the team doesn't wait to clear the first pack.

Pain Point 5 Companion rapport system and quests, I only want to do the rapport system on my main character and the questline once. Could we get a way to turn off rapport or prevent quests from popping up on alts? You are unable to change skills and equipment without accepting the quest as far as I can tell.

Pain Point 6 Stop adding new sets and rebalance the unused ones. Do people use most of the infinite archive sets? Corpseburster seems decent, mayhaps examine what could be done to make them more useful?

    Top Bugs/Issues
    • Inconsistent Dyes - If I'm using the same dye, my shirt and pants should match if they are both cloth (or leather, metal, whatever)
    • Not being able to use a door because a trash mob is stuck in a wall somewhere. If we haven't been hit in awhile let us open the door.
    • Object not in range - I'm standing on top of the body but somehow I'm not in range to loot it even though the interaction comes up when it's targeted. I have to draw another enemy into the area and kill it and loot it to get the loot from the other body. Thank you for Area Loot.
    • Furniture Lights and Effects - Often bleeds through walls and large objects. Pretty sure I shouldn't see a lamp through a stone wall.
    • Launcher detected a game crash/ Failure to load pop up - Game launched and ran fine but I'm still getting this pop up when I log out. Nothing seems to fix it and no one seems to have an answer for it.

    Top Pain Points
    • Eidetic Memory - All books should have a post quest location. There are books that have been locked away after quest completion dating all the way back to Morrowind. I believe the base game books have all been sorted out but I'm personally still missing one from Summerset. We shouldn't have to ask for them post release, they should be placed during production.
    • Furniture Categories - Currently, furniture is sorted into Lighting, Seating, Crafting Stations, and Other. Seriously? Please correctly sort these furnishings. There are thousands now and searching for them is getting ridiculous. Maybe poke Cardinal05 a few times?
    • Treasure Maps - Why don't they stack? Is it really so bad that I have 3 maps for the same spot in Bleakrock? We have enough inventory problems without playing games with maps.
    • Character Slots - Please, sir, can I have some more? I know it's a load on the server keeping track of all these alts but let's face it: this game was made for alts. Nearly all of us have a dozen or more and you've given us so many options to explore. Maybe just a few more slots?
    • Limit Raise - Bank Slots, Bag Slots, Furnishings, Transmute Stones. You know the song and dance.
    • Houseguests - Options for them to do something other than wander in a circle and stand still. Let them sit or drink an ale, maybe read a book. Also why can't we talk to NPC's when we're sitting if they're in range or do emotes that only require our arms to move? Sittings nice but let's up that game a little.
    • Adornments/Markings - Can you either separate these out or increase the allowance on these? I'd like to wear lipstick AND eyeshadow not just one or the other. Ladies running around only half made up. And don't get me started on Khajiiti fur patterns and Wood Elf horns. And why is the color of them tied to our hair color?
    • Hair - More styles should be made universal. There are not enough long styles for male characters. We should be able to change our hair color as well as its style. I'm not even asking for wild colors or anime hair, I just want the option to go blonde today.
    • Armor/Clothing - Hide. Just let us hide stuff. Let us be barefoot or take off our gloves. Maybe ditch that belt that doesn't go with anything in our wardrobe. Also stop with the hip flaps, they float and clip, badly. Why are the crotch flaps attached to the chest pieces instead of the pants where they belong? So much clipping.
    • Empty Guild Stores - I don't know if you can do anything about this without causing more problems but there seems to be a growing number of empty or nearly empty Guild Stores. GS locations are limited and expensive but still some spots are being taken up by Guilds that don't even sell anything. This system needs to be looked at.

I'm probably parroting quite a few folks here but you well know that this community is rather passionate about this game. ESO is one of the best MMO's still running and we want it to be better and get better for many long years to come. Hope everyone at ZOS takes this thread to heart and really looks into what we have all listed here (even the silly stuff). Thank you for this game and giving us a chance to be heard and help you make this game even better than it already is.

    Bugs:
    1. Doors: Still seem to stumble upon places in the world where opening a door is difficult. Wayrest Sewers was the longest standing one of these and seems good, but I have found the need to crouch or sneak still needed other places. Certainly not a deal breaker, but there it is.
    2. Skill Activation: I thought I had a bad mouse, so I replaced it, but I still find there are times I activate a skill and it either is slow to action or doesn't go off at all. It could be that I suck, but I'd like to think that isn't the case and have seen others mention it, so let's not go there just yet.

    Pain Points:
    1. (Both in number and level of angst): Fake healers and tanks! People always react by saying "join a guild" or "get good" or "slot a heal," but when dungeons are specifically built for the tank, healer, and two dps model why shouldn't we be able to queue and get that scenario? It especially sucks when grouping as dps, since you have to wait so long because their are so many of us.
    2. Cyrodiil I: Performance - This game has, in my opinion, the best PVP model ever! I mean who doesn't love acting like King Arthur or the Lionheart and leading sieges and troops into battle on such a scale! The model, the lore, the action can be incredible, but Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch, the lag and bugs!
    3. Cyrodiil II: Ball Groups - These not only negatively impact those currently invested in PVP, but keep others from following a desire to begin playing in Cyrodiil. Not to mention, they are unrealistic in terms of what battles looked like in an era before mechanized infantry lol.
    4. Furnishing Limits: I almost typed "enough said," but I want to give a more tangible why I feel this way. We love the new houses they are spectacular and spacious; however, if we are limited to 600 items and the spaces continue to get larger or there are more rooms, one is not able to decorate in a way which looks and feels realistic or lived in, if you get my meaning.
    5. Meta Gear: I'm doing more and more trials and enjoy them, but I do think the current idea of best in slot gear nearly almost being in trials is ridiculous. Finding a Trial Guild helps, but most of the ones I've tried require one to already to be a gifted trial runner before joining there high level runs. It's the old:

Them: "You can do Vet Cloudrest with us until you have a Vet Cloudrest clear."
Me: "Can we set up a group in order to help me get a clear?"
Them: "No, you'll have to do it through a PUG."
    Me: "Um ..."

Now it's better now with the group finder, I was able to clear Vet Cloudrest the other day in a PUG, but I've been trying for eight years lol. Now, I may just suck, as referenced early, but that only adds to my argument for not locking Meta or BIS gear behind veteran trials.

Conclusion: Not gunna lie, I'll continue to play the game even if none of the above are addressed, but you asked, right? I love this game and there are so many things to do outside those activities experiencing the bugs and points above, but I'd love to see the game continue to grow and be hands down the best MMO out there! Thanks for the opportunity to gripe lol.

That's a very nice surprise to see this thread. Thanks, guys, for your consideration! I just hope it will be followed by concrete actions. :)

I only have a few bugs/issues to report, so I'd like to add a few extra pain points, if possible.

    Top Bugs/Issues
    • Bug 1: Getting booted from servers, which can be very frustrating, especially during instances or PvP.
    • Bug 2: Some skills don't cast or have noticeable latency when cast, especially during parses.
    • Bug 3: I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like NPCs have become ridiculously strong in Tales of Tribute games.

    Top Pain Points
    • Pain Point 1: Housing item limitations. Sometimes, there just aren't enough slots given the size of the house.
    • Pain Point 2: Too little new content, especially for high-level/PvP players.
    • Pain Point 3: Textures can be really poor at times (just look at the Morag Tong armor from 2017, for instance).
    • Pain Point 4: Limitations of the game engine (like the inability to have cloaks, flying mounts, etc.).
    • Pain Point 5: The fact that surveys/treasure maps can't be stacked and used all at once.
    • Pain Point 6: The game population is slowly but surely shrinking, which has consequences for the economy.
    • Pain Point 7: A lack of ambition in events, especially for the 10th anniversary.
    • Pain Point 8: A strong lack of diversity in armor styles, motifs, etc. If you squint, 85% of them look similar; the same goes for mounts and the countless Welvas we can get.

That's it. I could add more, but I think this is a good start. If these issues could be addressed, it would be fantastic.

Pain Point 1: A lot of skills are generic and morphs provide little meaningful change. Force Pulse, Dive, Strife, Flame Skull. These are all the exact same skill and their morphs are effectively the same, too, with the possible exception of Strife -> Funnel Health, which changes the skill to enable a different playstyle (single target dmg to healer). Malevolent Offering, Render Flesh, Rushed Ceremony, Twilight Matriarch - these are all basically the same basic 'burst heal' type skills with minor thematic differences, with the exception of Twilight Matriarch since it's actually a pet that must be double barred. ESO is full of these kinds of skills that really could, imo, use further differentiation.

Pain Point 2: Some classes just have lackluster or outright non-functional stuff, and seem to have to follow rules that other classes don't. Take Dark Cloak (Shadow Cloak morph) for example - it has potential to be a nightblade's main heal, and in my opinion it completely goes against the class design and theme for NB to get a generic burst heal skill. However, it scales entirely off health and requires standing still to really be competitive. It's really only useful for PvE NB tanks. The standing still requirement is also odd, since NBs are supposed to be fairly mobile. Per UESP build editor it heals for 2.3k over 5 seconds...at 43k health. Resolving Vigor, despite scaling off offensive stats instead, still is stronger at ~14k over 5 seconds, and then does so much better on any other build that isn't completely invested into health. Dark Cloak barely beats out Resolving Vigor while standing still. Dark Cloak *could* have been a strong, defining skill for NBs much like Shadowy Disguise is, but it's effectively neutered outside PvE tanking.

Other classes also seem to have fallen behind the times in a lot of ways. Dragonknight has the Elder Dragon passive, which gives health regen per skill from the Draconic Power line slotted. Health regen has never really been relevant except for a brief period before it was nerfed. It looks like this passive was given similar numbers to resource-regen-per-skill-slot passives, but falls short because health regen needs to be so much higher than resource regens to be effective, since health tends to be high and can take damage and stuff. Necromancer's Grave Grasp skill doesn't really have a use in any area of the game, since it spawns in so slowly and has an actual distance requirement depending on what effect you want. Necro's Bone Totem has a huge delay on it, more even than some CC-ing *armor sets*, that make it difficult to use in PvP where people are moving around. Necro also lacks a lot of flavor, as its sustain is really bad compared to other classes and its main mechanic - corpse consumption - is only present in a few skills, and only one skill 'mass consumes' and another will consume more than one at a time up to a cap (Enduring Undeath). Overall, there's a lot of dead weight on classes that drag down both numerical effectiveness and class fantasy.

This also results in some skills just being blatantly inferior - in *every* way, so it's not a matter of trade offs - to their scribing counterpart. The best example of this is Templar's Rushed Ceremony, which is basically inferior in almost every way to the scribing burst heal.

Pain Point 3: Proc sets and the current state of 'active' bars. At the moment, proc sets get a huge advantage over passive bonus sets because you can equip a monster set, a mythic, 1pc trainee, and two 5 piece proc sets, one on the front bar and one on the back bar. Players can proc whichever set they want whenever, then just swap to the other bar and maintain the bonus. This is impossible in passive bonus sets, which require being 'always active' for the player to get the bonus. Passive bonus sets just can't compete, even when they're outclasses by the proc set even without this gear-slot-efficiency advantage. Take Rallying Cry and Law of Julianos, for example. Julianos gives 300 weapon and spell damage as the 5 pc bonus. Rallying Cry gives 300 spll/wpn damage, 1650 crit resistsance (reduced byt 15 and 83, respectively, per ally, for a min of 135 dmg and 737 crit res). So we have a proc set that gives the same (but also more if in pvp where crit res is relevant) benefit as a passive bonus set, can even provide group support benefits, and has the exact same 2-4 pc bonuses. Rallying Cry even has an easy 100% uptime, with a 20 second duration and 15 second cooldown, making it very forgiving to back- or front-bar.

This limits build diversity by giving passive sets a huge innate disadvantage, effectively nullifying a large amount of armor sets in the game.

Pain Point 4: Battlegrounds - not the Bgs themselves, but how you get into them - feels very awkward. If I want to do non-Cyrodiil/Imp city PvP, I queue for it and...the game decides what kind of BG mode I'm doing. Also, when I get into the BG, I often wait 3-4 minutes for the queue system to find another person, something I'd think it's supposed to have done before I'm dragged into the BG map instance. So what ends up happening is I'm made to wait around 2-4 extra minutes, interrupting whatever I was doing, while the queue does something I think (hope) it should be able to do without yoinking me in there, and then the BG mode may not be something I'm interested in at the time. I don't understand why players are thrown into a random pool of game modes - shouldn't we be allowed to queue for the game mode we like? SWTOR does this and everyone I've ever spoken to despises Huttball.

It's ultimately very frustrating to go through this whenever I want to PvP, especially since some of the game modes encourage bunkering up. Capture the flag, relic, etc. It's very easy to get a mismatched comp, too, where one team has people running support ults and skills and the other doesn't or has less. This *can* be fine, and I like that holding the relics too long eventually kill someone to prevent superbunkering, but this is still an issue that decreases my enjoyment of the game mode. Mind, I don't want to further hurt support players - they're precious and need to be cherished. Rather, the game has a few (rather easy, imo) ways where the BG can just end up un-fun, and at that point it's a solid waste of 15-20 minutes. Sometimes people just want to kill people. Other times, though, I have a grand time trying to 'break' those defensive walls.

Pain Point 5: The guild kiosk system, I think, has run its course. Tamriel trade center exists, and at this point it's just a time sink. I can appreciate the gold sink it serves as - and I think it's possible to keep that, even - but I'm no longer interested in running around the world trying to find a particular item. Let guilds bid over, I dunno, bonuses based on the city a kiosk is in and the tax revenue generated by a particular kiosk, but I think we're overdue for a central AH.

    Pain Point 6: Honorable mentions.

    - The dodge roll dodge-frames are extremely gracious and should be shortened. You can be up and running and still dodge stuff sometimes. You can even dodge multiple GCDs worth of stuff from someone, which imo is what directly points to the dodge window being too long.
    - Vigor is still too strong too, to the point where it's strength sorta blocks other skills from being run and cuts down on build diversity. Not saying it needs to be nerfed directly, but perhaps its competitors could get some love.
    - We need more stamina and magicka weapons...please...it's been 10 years...
    - The lack of a stamina based monk class and the lack of a bard class is a massive pain point. Extremely important. Please. On my knees begging.
    - Some ground target AoEs have weird psuedo-cast times(?) or delays. Sorc's lightning pool, for example, feels like it has almost a solid 1 sec delay before it drops, and if you cast it then bar swap it sometimes won't even land.
    - Guild banks still don't auto stack stuff. I know Roomba exists but please. Not even much of a pain since the addon doesn't really break, it just looks awful every time I remember it's a thing.
    - Empower should have a lesser bonus in PvP. I think it's perfectly fine to cut down its effectiveness to prevent certain degenerate builds from popping up, but it should still provide *something* for pvpers, since it's still present on some skills. If it were only available through PvE sets it'd be fine, but as something that has a presence throughout the entire game (unlike stuff like Minor Slayer, for example) it should be somehow beneficial in every area of the game.

    1. Grouping, changing characters or going dc: I guess this could be in pain points too, but the current functionality is terrible. You have to remember to leave the group when changing characters and finding your old group again is a challenge with the chat log clearing.
    Top Pain Points
    1. Guild Store: this whole system really needs some help, especially on console. There is soo much work required that is not fun when buying and selling.
    2. End Game: the current end game is a combination of PVP, gear collection, achievements and housing. The game seriously needs grand goals to work towards that award convenience items and prestige skins. Something like being able to change traits on the fly or morphing armor that lets you change sets at will. The Golden pursuits are great, but we need a permanent super-charged edition as well.
    3. Stop set bloat: this has been mentioned by others, but the game has an overwhelming amount of sets and the vast majority get little use. Little used sets should be reworked to give more variety to the meta instead of constantly introducing new sets.
    4. Build simplification: I feel builds have way too many options that have small impacts this makes creating new builds tedious. Having traits, enchantments, sets, champion points, mundus, attributes, not to mention food and potions is overwhelming and unnecessary especially on top of the crazy amount of sets available.
    5. Inventory management: I think this can be somewhat address my changes to the Guild Store, but too much time needs to be spent on keeping free space in your inventory that makes the game less enjoyable. Some ideas mentioned by others is more items stacking like treasure maps, glyphs, etc.

    My Top Pain Points are:

    1. When holding multiple copies of the same Survey - please can ESO+ players have an option to do them all at once? (limitless inventory so no issues with bag space).
    2. When arriving at a Wayshrine - is it too difficult to have my character spawn facing North? (those who know, know!)
    3. Please can you stop rewarding 20 - 30 'trash' items (low level materials) upon completion of 1 x Daily Crafting Writ for players at MAX level?
    4. Allow players to 'flag' themselves for or against PVP when forced to enter Cyrodiil or Imperial City to undertake non-PVE activities - (Event Tickets, Fishing etc.) To prevent abuse add a time-lock confirmation.
    5. Transmute Crystals - please let us BANK them as a currency and increase the max amount we can hold

Bug 1 I know you mentioned we don't need to mention it but it's INSANE we are YEARS further and the stuck in combat bug is still there.
Bug 2 resetting bosses if you have your shade up as a nightblade has to be a super annoying one that never gets fixed either
Bug 3 The Daedric Deflector achievement not properly triggering has also being a pain point for my dungeon group. a friend has done it correctly 5 times and they still don't have it.
Bug 4 You are to far away to interact with this is also a bug that seems to keep sticking around and never getting fixed
Bug 5 Taunt not always working as the first thing cast in a fight is also super annoying.

Pain Point 1 Not getting proper compensation for once again having a maintenance during peak EU hours. I'm pretty sure I have lost at LEAST a month off eso+ to not being able to play because off maintenances or server problems where everything just lags.
Pain Point 2 Having to manually desummon an assistant is stupid why is there not a specific button / gui option to immediately dismiss them after you are done with banking/selling/deconstructing
Pain Point 3 not enough inventory space as a support. New support sets keep being added but inventory space hasnt increased in ages. Not even after you introduced the pay to win pets.
