Isn't it a bit much to ask 2k crowns for red style Summon Winged Twilight?

I'd pay that much for more werewolf skill styles

I'd honestly pay more than that for fur color swaps for the Werewolf Transformation skill. Probably up to 5000 Crowns, but if it's really good, I'll make an exception.

Seriously, people (myself included) have been asking for the ability to customize our Werewolf form for a very long time. Ever since Slate-Gray Summoned Bear did exactly what we want but for the Feral Guardian Ultimate instead, we've been asking for something similar. No unrealistic colors (obviously) but rather a simple texture swap to a different, natural looking fur color.

Having our fur color dependent on which morph of the skill we pick severely limits either our combat ability or our customization, when humanoid players generally get the best of both.

And now that Slate-Gray Summoned Bear is a Skill Style, it's reasonable to expect we might actually get something similar for Werewolf Transformation — and if they're as cheap as Summon Winged Twilight, Warrior, then why wouldn't we buy them? 2000 Crowns may be expensive for just one of many skills on your skill bar, but for highly-requested skills, it seems very generous.

Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

    This one would agree.
For that price, they should give us access to the entire color palette available for summons.
The results of which would range from amazingly beautiful to utterly horrifying, although certainly worth the crowns.

Khajiit would also mention that all it takes is a twitch and your summons will rearrange themselves out of everyone's way.

Like I was saying in the mental health thread (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/669780/zos-my-mental-health#latest), this is predatory behavior against neural atypical people. It’s FAR too much, and I bought it on the spot because I want to keep current with all of the styles. I feel used, but I keep playing. Many people have stopped these days. I’m starting to wonder if I can stick it out. I play Fallout 76 as well, and there’s none of this feeling of being abused by the monetization with that game. One of these days — mark my words — they hide a new slate of styles behind things like PVP and TOT, and I’ll just be done.

It's about the same cost as an Arms Pack, so instead of having flashy weapons, you can have a flashy pet.

An arms pack covers 5+ styles and can be used by everyone. This is something ONLY Sorcerer can use and is limited to one skill only. This should be a third of the price, no question.

Since it's likely more skills will come later, are we really looking at like 10,000 crowns (like 100 Australian dollars for me) for a handful of skill recolours that can only be used on a specific class? That's horrific.

I also just came out of a run with someone who purchased this and I can safely say this pet is even more annoying than it was previously because the colour is so vibrant and it stands out way more than it did before.

Mind you, the 21 cosmetical changes would be worth a whopping 250,- €/$.
    Be grateful!
    :D

It's more than 12,- € for a single little skill to look different.

It is just the same pet recoloured! For goodness sake ZoS, do you not listen to what players have been asking for for years??? We want the sorc pets to be a different size! A smaller, nicer looking flappy bird that doesn't get in your team mates faces all the time (especially the healers).
You won't be getting a cent out of me for this rubbish. Other skills are free or earnable in game to be a different colour, so the sorc pet should be too.

Well another perfect example of "we do listen" but "we actually dont". If it would be a recolor of the entire class skillset 2k crowns would be still to much but debateable.

20€ for a recolor of one skill. ZoS you are out of your mind. Whoever is in charge of pricing ... jesus christ im not even allowed to say what i think about this .. otherwise my comment will be removed again.

ZoS you need to do better.

I am sitting on app. 50k crowns and refuse to spend them on all this overpriced bs ZOS keeps putting out. I do occasionally buy something I deem useful, e.g. character slots, bag slot pets, but loot boxes, and (overpriced) cosmetics are a big fat red line for me. I'll just keep hoarding them for when useful stuff actually does appear. I get them as a byproduct of ESO+ so whatever. I don't sub for crowns.

As for the skill recolors... I tried out these free ones we got and I am not impressed at all. I would never buy these even if they were 200 crows each, because I very much dislike them. ESO is becoming a circus of rainbow colors wherever you look. Brightly colored outfits of the players running around, flashing mounts all over the place... none of it fits the world of Tamriel.

Made me laugh looking at that price for a low effort recolor. They need to actually do something meaningful for pet styles and give us ones that change the whole model; like I want a pet Gargoyle style for Winged Twilight for example~ that's something I might actually pay for. Pretty disappointing.

Meanwhile my money will be going to getting more pet/minion skins in Path of Exile 2 where you get entirely new models, sounds, animations, everything~ and for nearly half the price than here. 🤣

I think it’s absolutely insane price point. We can get an entire weapons cosmetics pack for 2500… I was expecting 1k crowns for this… 2k crowns should be the entire skill line in red or something lol

Even 1,000 crowns is extremely generous.

This is one skill among 18 class ones, among 7 classes. 1/126 class skills in the game, and only one iteration among the many they will make for that one specific skill.

Ha yeah I was gonna say 500 but split the difference. I saw 2 red flappy yesterday and it made me laugh…

I have no intention of getting it. But I do want to play a little bit of Devil's Advocate here.

The twilight is much more visible than other skills, since it's out at all times. The recolor of the nightblade spammable, for example, is not really noticeable, since it's just a recolor of one specific animation that is hard to see amongst all the visual noise of combat.

The twilight is big, visible and ever-present, both in and out of combat. I'd say it's even more visible than a mount, since mounts go away when you are engaged in combat or are dismounted for any other reason.

Yet people are perfectly fine paying 2K for a "reskin" of a mount or non-combat pet.

In short, the twilight recolor is not just another skill, and that's probably why it's getting treated differently than any other skill. If they want 2K crowns for the storm atro, yea, that'd be ridiculous. But I think of the twilight more like a mount or non-combat pet.

Yeah it's just another for the long list of overpriced crown store items. I'm pretty sure ZOS doesn't care if you or I think its too much, they're after whales at this point. And whales will buy anything. $25CAD to make a skill a different colour is ludicrous. The value is awful. I got waaay more for $25 during the steam sale.

However, we've been complaining about overpriced crown store items since they opened so our words are falling on deaf ears.

This decision I think can be considered for scam on crowns, otherwise it can not be explained in any other way.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert - Can you explain why ZOS decided to make such an unreasonably high price? Do you really think this is a normal price? You do realize that by doing so you are making your already bad reputation in the crown store thread even worse?

@ZOS_Icy @ZOS_Bill @ZOS_Kevin - Is there any way you can convey to whoever is going to decide what and how much it costs at the crown store that this decision is not a good idea?

its insane i have no idea where they come up with these prices. And i feel like they always give you something for free, when they know the new thing they're going to sell isnt going to be well received. They had to know 2k is crazy, in general, for any single skill. 500 sure fine.

On another note, this particular skill is just lame. This is not what most people wanted for sorc pets, we wanted the pet to change not just the color.

If people pay up (and they do) seems okay. Not good for public image though, but that's not something that would be of concern to them as far as we can see how store is going in general in a buy to play premium sub game.

In no world should anybody be okay with this. It's genuine price gouging. If it were 2,000 for a pack, then that might be different, but we're getting one puny reskin of a single skill, in a single class. I'm usually in the team of "If you don't like it, don't pay for it", but this time it's insultingly overpriced. The standard that's being set here is very much "We're going to see just how much we can get out of you before you start complaining, and then go a little bit further," and regardless of whether or not it's just a FOMO cosmetic, they're doing this because they know people are going to rattle off the same old "if you don't like it, don't buy it" rhetoric they have been for years.

Plaese do not be "okay" with this. This is a genuine attempt to see how much pay piggies will cough up for the least amount of effort possible, and you should not be okay with it.

As long as there are people who will pay 14,000 crowns each for multiple houses and 52,000 crowns for a set of mundus stones, ZOS will have no qualms about charging a mere 2,000 crowns for a Grim Focus Red pet pack.

It turns out that part (if not all) of the blame is on such players who buy everything at inadequate prices and because of this ZOS believe that such prices are the norm.

I rarely use pets on Sorcerers. But I would use this skill style if it was in the free bundle with other red sorcerer skills :'(
Does anyone know if the lightning/aura from this pet's attacks/heals also changes color to red?

I also wonder if there will be some new models for combat pets, or we will only get recolors of the same model.

What I would love to see is new combat pets for all classes. For example, I would love to have Watcher/Seeker as permanent pets for my Arcanist characters! <3

    Make that all three.

A big part of my issue with these recolours is that there are not enough of them for it to feel complete. I love the blue colours on my DK (she always wore blue) but she's still stuck with an orange orb floating round her from Flames of Oblivion. Meanwhile arcanists still have green crux from what I heard.

For the sorc, I love the red but so many vital skills still have the old colour scheme, and I know that even if I shell out the ridiculous asking price to make my tormentor red, I will likely have similar prices to look forward to if I ever want to finish the look. Another 2k for the scamp when? Another 2k for the Atro? What about for Ward and Crit Surge and all the other skills? Will there even be red versions of them? If not this will mean 2k investment toward a look I wont get an opportunity to complete, all while the potential price of completing it is hugely offputting anyway.

Maybe non-pet skills will cost less, but even then it looks set to add up to a lot just to fully recolour one character's skills, if they ever release this colour theme for all the skills I'd want.

So to anyone who does think the 2k price tag is okay, think about the total cost this implies for a full colour scheme.

Maybe it will be less of an issue for other classes, since sorc is the class with a bunch of permanent pets and maybe only styles for permanent pets will cost so much, but if so, isn't it also a bit harsh that sorc mains will need to pay more to recolour skills than other classes?
