Isn't it a bit much to ask 2k crowns for red style Summon Winged Twilight?

I’d pay 10-15k crowns for Black flames on all dragonknight skills. Black whip, breath, ball, armor, it would be awesome & worth alot of crowns for myself

And this is why players will never get anywhere. There is always a player somewhere willing to buy it at absurd prices. Its really not ZOS at the end of the day. Players are why this exists in the first place. If we all told them to *** off with that first horse armor, we would not be here.

People exaggerate for emphasis all the time. Taking it literally is an issue.

I think I'm one of the people that should say sorry...

I once said on the forum I'd be willing to pay nice money to reskin my sorc pets. I didn't know I had to specify I would only do that if they would make them pretty. I'm not expecting ZOS to ever make them smol, unless they can exclude that from PvP, but please put a decent texture on it. Just make her look pretty and I'll throw money at you.

So, I was in trial run yesterday and someone had red Twilight Matriarch pet. I couldn't notice how her healing effect cloud looks, but her lightning attacks use the basic white color - they do not change to red color :(

Other skill which we got for free looks epic, with red lightning:

    SBEaDtC.png

I really don't understand why Twilight only got body recolor without her skills recolor too, for such a high price :/

Also, I've seen many red Twilights in towns, so people like them. To be honest, maybe if this skill had full recolor (attacks and healing), and I was absolutely sure that we won't get better-looking pet remodels for her, I might buy this recolor too. My mag sorcerer was always using red theme; if she had this red style for Twilight, she would not care if we get any other Twilight recolors in future...

I'd pay 2k crowns for the ability to hide other players Twilight pets.

Especially now that the red makes them even more obnoxious. And now an annoyingly large number of sorcs that purchased it are doing the same thing players with their shiny new mounts do, they park them in towns right where they know everybody will see them to maximize exposure.

Yea i mean if it was like an actual reskin not a recolor i think ppl wouldnt be as miffed but legit they should have just thrown it in with the freebies for what you get. They must have known people would be upset about that. We have been asking for a sorc pet reskin for years and this is what we got and now ya gotta pay for it too.

I was thinking about this and how it compares to Motif chapters. Those are ~5000 crowns, and contain ~45 styles. So, I would expect any style item that costs roughly half, to contain ~20 styles. In other words, for 2000 crowns, I'd expect this be a style that cover every class skill. Especially when it’s the same animation with different colors.

Please do not entice ZOS to monetize even more of this game. It’s already out of hand and ridiculous.

How about “it would be cool to EARN a black color scheme through a new interesting questline or via gameplay rewards?”

We shouldn’t have to pay for each and every little thing nonstop man

It is also interesting to consider this in the light of the many morality plays, and lessons about greed that, are woven into the fabric of Tamriel.

This one suspects that those involved with these decisions could benefit considerably from some of that wisdom.

Nope. I think it should cost much more, probably more than 200k crowns.

The funny thing is that almost no one liked Winged Twilight, there were even a lot of players asking for them to be smaller, not to be used in towns or even invisible to other players, and now, with this new version, we'll be all be very grateful to the see players without changing the original version to this way more intrusive bright red one.

Yep. I would also pay that immediately without hesitation. I think they are missing out on good business possibilities with players like us who want to clean up all these exaggerated things that spoil our involvement in the game.

I think that should be a QoL toggle in the settings, rather than a separate microtransaction. At least, I'd like to see a client-side toggle that'll swap or disable mounts, polymorphs, skins, and so on from other players, so you can opt out of seeing their flashy things.

People have been complaining about the Twilights for years and now that zos had the chance to sell us a solution, they made it worse :D Idk why I was even hoping for a nice reskin and/or significantly smaller model but I wouldn't use that red ghost flapper even if it was free. And whoever typed that price for the store probably has a stuck 0 key, the 2k make no sense whatsoever, neither for the increased problem we get, nor for the time that was spent on decreasing texture opacity and slapping red glow on it.

Yes, but I think we all thought it would be for something that the community has been asking for for 10 years, not for a bright red glowing translucent matriarch. 🐦‍🔥

Yes. I though it would at least be in-line with the weapon packs where we'd get a small number of those skills at that price point.

If it had been the Daedric summoning bundle and made the entire skill line red for the same piece, I'd have bought it quickly.

But, I'm not paying 20 bucks to have one skill clash in color with all the others.

Zenimax are the masters of creating a problem and selling the solution. Craftbag is just one example. As for this skin, there were many topics, especially on Reddit where people complained that they can't see from behind this huge summon. So instead of making it half transparent when it's close to the camera, Zenimax sells you a skin for crazy price, just so you will stop cursing at the summon covering your view. 👏🏻

They could have at least updated the model that has been in the game since launch.

That recolor took them all of 3 minutes to change and insert into the game.

I'd pay that to never see these things outside of combat ever. If there's one thing I could change in ESO, this is it. Followed by 'cannot mount, in combat'.

Making it a crown store only item was bad enough and I lost interest in it the second I saw that they did, but they somehow made me even more disappointed with this game by charging 2k crowns for it. Absolutely wild and I hope to see no one using it.

Unfortunately, it's become a flex item, and people who would normally not play pet sorcs or would put their pets away in town are standing around flaunting their purchases, much like players do with their expensive crown and gem mounts. So expect to see more flappity flaps (including the garish red eyesores) around, not less.

At least the red twilight is less ugly, you can’t see that dark “bikini” that covers the female parts of the monstrosity, ugh.

I’d also pay for a toggle to “unsee” all the combat pets as well.

For some people, the price will be too steep. Other players will justify this cost and purchase the reskin.

Considering players have been clamoring for reskins for years, I expect these will sell well at this price point. I like the Warrior skin.

But this new red one is worse. Now you'll get blind if you have one of these glowing flying ghosts in front of you. What we really need is a Winged Twilight absolutely invisible for other players. No one wants or needs to see it.

If people pay up (and they do) seems okay. Not good for public image though, but that's not something that would be of concern to them as far as we can see how store is going in general in a buy to play premium sub game.

In no world should anybody be okay with this. It's genuine price gouging. If it were 2,000 for a pack, then that might be different, but we're getting one puny reskin of a single skill, in a single class. I'm usually in the team of "If you don't like it, don't pay for it", but this time it's insultingly overpriced. The standard that's being set here is very much "We're going to see just how much we can get out of you before you start complaining, and then go a little bit further," and regardless of whether or not it's just a FOMO cosmetic, they're doing this because they know people are going to rattle off the same old "if you don't like it, don't buy it" rhetoric they have been for years.

Plaese do not be "okay" with this. This is a genuine attempt to see how much pay piggies will cough up for the least amount of effort possible, and you should not be okay with it.

There is no world in which I would pay this kind of cash for simple cosmetics. Most entire games I buy on sale for less than $20.

However, it is not price gouging as defined by the fact that these cosmetics are in no way living essentials. Waste of money (imo) for sure, but not gouging.

I bought it the moment I saw it, truthfully.

Yeah, it was expensive for a single skill morph, but now my sorcerer's twilight matriarch is translucent and I can see what's behind her. She could take up 1/5th of the screen with her beating wings and tail. Now it doesn't matter, because I can totally see what's behind her and she never obstructs my field of view. Finally!

I've wanted something like this for years, and I jumped at it. Massive quality of life improvement for me on that character.

I wish they weren't FOMO'ing it, though. This should never leave the storefront. It's wonderful, and new players who make sorcerers should have the ability to get it, too. I can never go back, haha.
