Even if y'all intend to go through with this moronic "addition" to the game, at the very least say you hear us overwhelmingly hating this and agree that in the future you won't do it again.
The styles aren't just in the thematic style of each class; they also display the unique emblem of each class.
It would look kind of tacky for a sorc to run around with the nightblade logo on their chest.

I already agreed with this as well. Considering they have the class icons on them (at least the Warden set does, not sure about others), I would think they should stay unique.

So. What exactly is the point of the style page, then? With every other page, be that style page or motif page, you can wear whatever you please regardless of class, race or equipment.
Why is this the exception? What is there to gain from this? The main reason most people have been looking forward to the class sets as style pages is, primarily, the nightblade mask. And most people can't access that because they need to be a nightblade to equip it, exactly like the armor piece?
This goes against the idea of style/motif pages to begin with.
have to agree this is terrible, was deff looking forward to using the nightblade mask. 90% of the stuff they come out with is so lame, but the mask is a bit different. Guess ill only be using on my nb, which i think ill be playing more next update after reading the patch notes.
I think like 99% of the players here just wanted the nightblade mask lol

They do, I have the sorc set and it emits a static electricity around the character.

There will be a motif sometime in the future that has similar style to it.

Hey ZOS, here are some more great ideas regarding cosmetics:
-Class locked mounts. You know like for example the Storm Atronach ones should only be usable by Sorcerers.
-Class locked player houses. Who else but a Necromancer would live in a place like Wraithhome.
-Class locked mementos. Stuff like Discourse Amaranthine only makes sense when used by an Arcanist.
-Class locked non-combat pets. Only Wardens should be allowed to have Bear Cubs, duh.
These should, of course, be applied retroactively to the game and would fit nicely with the IA Class Styles.

sadly the only change to the class restricted styles
Added a better indicator when previewing Outfit Styles that are class restricted.

If they hadn't given us a preview months and months ago that wasn't class restricted, maybe it would have been different, but as it stands I've been looking forward to these style pages since September of 2023. I had entire outfits all planned out that would use several of them. And now we're stuck not being able to access them unless we're on the class would have already been able to get that look just by equipping the pieces of the equipment from IA already, back when the Archive first came out? Color me highly unimpressed and exceedingly disappointed.

Yep. I was actually getting ready to start on IA until I heard that the Necro style could not be used by other classes, such as NB.
A good style but terrible implementation creating barriers for no real reason.
In short, no thanks.

I'm so very disappointed in everyone involved in this decision. And this might not be fair, but I'm disappointed in the representatives and managers for not communicating with the community.
Hope you smarten up. ✌️

I honestly wish for more class identity, more things that make me feel like fantasy of my class is acknowledged by the game's world. Class specific sets, quests, challenges, etc. But if we can't even have a class specific outfit style (like, just 1), then we are at lost with class identity at this point. "But class identity is all about gameplay", if so, then ZOS should add new class skill styles. Just make all templar skills green, and see how the community would react.
