Please keep in mind that some of these fixes reach very deep into the architecture of the game and require a lot of care, time, and testing. Because of this, the target dates on some of the initiatives may shift as work progresses.

Don't worry, they are killing it.
With the launch of Elsweyr, we wanted to give you an update on our ongoing performance optimization initiatives, our future plans, and when–generally–you can expect to see the improvements.
I think that we should be more optemistic about the timeline, they are atleast aknowledging the problem and damn even if it makes a 10% difference its a good improvement. I think its great just wish it was sooner, people are bieng too pesimistic because they are so used to complaining, this is a good revelation guys!

After 5+ years of ongoing "we are fixing this and that" I, just like most of the others are very pessimistic they are actually going to do something that will actually be felt in the game. A lot of the things they "fix" really don't seem to impact the game like they should. I HOPE they do this time around, because they really NEED to bring this game to 2019 where it belongs. If they don't, I can see a ton of lash-back and a huge negative outpouring from the community. I am happy they at least have a plan spanning 6-9 months out already, which seems more in a positive direction that past endeavors. Fingers crossed.
