I will have to wait till I see it tbh. Nothing is fun to do atm cause of all the performance issues. My game has turned into Recruiting Simulator 2K19 for my Guilds. My final straw was not being able to loot dead.

Combat Ability Improvements. Awesome, that's what they call this.

Making everything the same until we all fight with bare hands. I guess for several reasons performance will really improve with that. The main reason would probably be that people do not want to play this crap game anymore.

PSA - Crown items paid for cash have a chance to soon be obtainable in game for free
Not my quote "It took a while to sink in that we’re killing it right now..."
Dragonhold - "...updated Activity Finder for dungeons and Battlegrounds, and also focuses heavily on the first part of the performance improvements for ESO..." ^^

    Officially in Legacy support now.

    They know the issues.
    They have a plan.
    They have the money.

    They can't find the time.

Ironically, somewhere in the past few months, they managed to implement or fix the gasping sound that you make when reviving after death.

I think that we should be more optemistic about the timeline, they are atleast aknowledging the problem and damn even if it makes a 10% difference its a good improvement. I think its great just wish it was sooner, people are bieng too pesimistic because they are so used to complaining, this is a good revelation guys!

Please keep in mind that some of these fixes reach very deep into the architecture of the game and require a lot of care, time, and testing. Because of this, the target dates on some of the initiatives may shift as work progresses.

This is the only relevant part of the announcement - it's the quote that is included with every performance fix announcement and ultimately is the one that they'll point to when none of it gets implemented, just like every time in the past.

They meant they are re-doing the crown store from the ground up.

As others stated, I’ll believe it when I see it. I really, really, really hope they follow through this time.

From what Matt said this should be great

Matt is very good at talking. Even credible, to unsuspecting audience without prior experience with him.

Don't worry, they are killing it.

    The Dobbin upgrade.

Elsewyr was my make or break. Well, it broke my game so i unsubbed and havent played for over a month (i did log in yesterday and lagged even logging in).
With the launch of Elsweyr, we wanted to give you an update on our ongoing performance optimization initiatives, our future plans, and when–generally–you can expect to see the improvements.

Ongoing?... since when? Every patch or release they performance got worse.

So, they make new promises they will fix it next year. What do they think? I wull resub and hope for the best? No, I will wait and sit it out. But in the meantime i also pledged 300 euro to Pantheon. If alpha starts I will have to make a choice.

Aaandddd.... i never played classic WOW (i was EQ2 junky back then playing my Freeport Ranger when that could still be done living in the slums until they decided rangers could not be evil) so i might even try that.

Point is.... For some players ESO does not have a year to fix things. I know it takes time, but they had 5 years now since they broke stuff in 2014 with the lighting patch. People complained and didn't get takes seriously enough. And now again we are supposed to trust their words? PvP had been plaiged by this for a long time and yes.. i am glad it now also affects PvE because now actions will be finally taken. Or will it....... meanwhile, at the crownstore.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

After 5+ years of ongoing "we are fixing this and that" I, just like most of the others are very pessimistic they are actually going to do something that will actually be felt in the game. A lot of the things they "fix" really don't seem to impact the game like they should. I HOPE they do this time around, because they really NEED to bring this game to 2019 where it belongs. If they don't, I can see a ton of lash-back and a huge negative outpouring from the community. I am happy they at least have a plan spanning 6-9 months out already, which seems more in a positive direction that past endeavors. Fingers crossed.

I think that means they are heavily rewriting the game's code from the ground.

I look forward to ESO not swallowing up 100 gigs on my console's hard drive.

Not so much looking forward to redownloading the entire game and having to watch for an internet usage overage whatever month that happens, though. If the files will be smaller though, maybe the redownload will only eat a quarter of my monthly allowance instead of a third of it...
