    Increase shattering blows in the cp tree to 50% instead of 25% fixed.

    BTW I would even faster trade Implosion for an stamina based class execute or spammable. Sucks to completely build your playstyle around what options your two weapons gives you.

    And surely, make shields crittable. But only if they take armor mitigation into account AND can crit themself. Or remove shieldstacking and remove streak/BoL fatigue as well.

    Implosion is strong because it can proc on DoT, ground DoT or a skill that I blocked. There are tons of situations where the skill is super useful to bring targets down and of course it is not so strong vs shield stacking. But if I am on low health and I block then it can proc or if I try to roll dodge and miss all skills except the ground AoEs or heavy light staff attack it can proc.

    Partially because I'm going to kill them anyway so the passive is of no use to me, and partially because when people see it on their death recap they think it's OP. Change it to give a flat damage reduction (no armor or spell res, just, say...minor protection?) when standing in that lightning pool thingy sorcs use in pve.

    If they would replace implosion with overtime (3/6s delay in the shut-off of a toggle when you bar swap to a bar without it so you can swap out, buff, swap back and keep the toggles going if you are quick enough) i would be thrilled.

    Implosion on a mag sorc isnt as nearly as effective as on a stamsorc. On a stamsorc it can be an issue cause everything they do can proc it and they can deal consistent dmg with hurricane and dots. A mag sorc is a whole different story. Its timed burst and It procs on lightning that means either endless fury or force pulse and only procs under 15% hp. At that % endless fury already executed you. 9 times out of 10 implosion procs but endless fury already did the job. And if implosion can kill you through block so does endless fury.

    Shields- Need to be critable

    Streak- Fine as is, leave it alone

    Implosion- Slightly overpowered, Only needs a slight adjustment in PvP by reducing it's damage. It shouldn't be hitting as ridiculously hard as it is for just a free passive execution

    I can agree on the execute on fury needing toned down but while adding to its front end damage to make it a sorc spammable. And I could see toning down implosion; but crittable shields alone would be too much. Would kill light armore.


    I instead would say make shields crit able but remove the shield debuffs in PVP so they are full strength and do not have a time limit, but then also make them unable to stack.

    This would make for better gameplay IMO as the caster can still use light armor and not have to recast over and over (not fun IMO) just traveling around yet enable them to be taken out. To get some damage through with crit sand no secondary shield to catch the overflow. Part of this could be my own bias as I have not been using shields on my sorc as I do not like the play style. Lover everything else about it.

    biggest problem is harness and harded combined if you couldn't use both at same time it wouldn't be a problem with sorcs mobility only have harded and healing ward would be fine that's how all other light armor build have there main defense they have 2 10k shields I think the best way to balance shields is to make them critable and they crit themselves

    all proc should be removed from game every set every ability that procs every passive rng should not have a influence in a action combat only one should be in game is crit

    @Zvorgin I'm not being sarcastic, genuine question. What skills do you use to reflect back? All I can think of is reflective scales, but not everyone is a dk.

    Looking up skills I found 1h&s skills Spell Wall and Defensive Stance... is that what you meant?

    Wont happen. It didn't when trainee and BSW were nerfed, and pirate skelly was nerfed for sorcs, nor when the dark conversion changes made any sets which return both resources less effective.

    Heals, attacks, etc. all scale with max stats.

    30K+ shields.. of course...

    I wouldn't want to ruin their kit like what happened to DK for a while. The class identity is speedy ranged dd. I'll say they are just a little bit too good with how shield stacking is, but with all the ways to attack direct health in the game NOW I would say we will have a huge problem across all classes if shields get hit hard.

    There is knight slayer, oblivion enchant, shattering blows, and shield breaker. I say if they are going to change shields then all of that needs to be addressed as well, and isn't that a bit much with some of that just recently being introduced to the game I just don't see it happening without crippling Sorcs. They would be crippled because they would have all 4 of those things to deal with then also a weaker shield if shields get nerfed.

    While this is true, Shield stacking makes this Nigh on impossible as good sorcs alternate shields at different times so that if one is about to run out, the other shield won't expire.


    It requires incredible amounts of concentration and resource sustainability to actually kill a sorc with shield stacking. And because of this everyone else has to sacrifice in order to achieve this capability. Mag sorcs do not have to sacrifice damage for sustainability. Because their damage is their sustain.


    Shields are to powerful even if your geared specifically for it and put all CP into counterplay for shield stacking. You effectively lose any capacity to fight anyone else. Sorcs have it all and their damage works universally

    Rarely I find a gem like this, but when I do, it's in a nerf sorc thread.

    Every experienced PvP'er will know when a sorc fires of their crystal shard. It's the moment when Curse will go off. So either dodge then or use your scales a second before the curse proc.

    Neither is Force Pulse undodgeable nor is it a Sorc exclusive.

    Heals, attacks, etc. all scale with max stats.

    30K+ shields.. of course...

    What scales?

    Last time i checked BOL, dragons blood and vigor scale with max stats too. And btw nice joke about the 30k+ shields.

    Force pulse is undoubtedly undodgeable, go actually play the game before making uniformed comments.


    As for heals HAh, You can knock someone down using a heal and completely obliterate them before the heal has time to take effect. Also Major defile affects them and your critical attacks can null the heal


    Try doing that to shields, You can't

    Dragon Fire Scale. Dk Draconic Power tree skill.

    4k magika cost.

    Cost/efficiency wise dead, if you are a stam. based char.

    Slightly reduce the overall burst or damage or usage of Mag Sorc PVP goodies like (shields (make them crittable), streak (increase cost etc), implosion (disable it in PVP), endless fury (reduce the burst or time), curse (reduce the burst etc) or )something else BUT SPECIFIC ONLY TO PVP
    If you think mag sorc is easy mode and can't be killed why not play one yourself?

    Yeah, I have a feeling that Mag Sorc is perceived as much stronger than it actually feels to play.

    Having Full Health does not necessarily mean that a sorc isn't feeling pressure.
    Implosion (which 95% of the time procs on dead men walking) is not nearly as useful as people seem to think.

    A bad sorc is the easiest thing to kill in PvP, a good sorc one of the more difficult.
    To me that says learn to play more than just about anything.

    Make shields a buff that causes blocking to drain magicka instead of stamina.
    or
    If the shield won't let crit damage in, then it shouldn't let crit damage out. Choose to offense or defense but not both.
    or
    No magicka regen while a shield is up - have to actually think before casting instead of running around spamming it.
    or
    Shield size based on health
    or
    Shield absorbs 50% of inc damage, the other goes to health. Avoids perma protecting health bar - have to actually heal to stay alive.
    or
    Shield is a ground target buff for the caster - absorb all damage while in the buff area.You get damage, defense, but lose mobility. Can't have everything.
    or
    Shield has a 1.5s cast time
    or
    pick any 1 of a million things that bring it more down to earth without destroying the class.

    Or maybe just remove shieldstacking which actually is the problem instead of nerfing the sorc shield which is the only defence they have. Its common sense.
