Do the DC online right now realize that EP has emp?

Knowing DC, they've likely been farmed by EP emp group midday when no DC guilds are on, and won't push East until a guild arrives to spearhead it.

I wish Saramis luck, he will need it.

And in continuing DC fashion after a failed emp dethrone they will wait until Vanzan cleans up their mess for them during oceanic time.

EP knows what they're doing, crowning in the morning of a day I do not raid ;)

Don't worry, we still had fun farming the VE we could find last night ;)

Yeah like how you all stealth bombed Kirsi and Kirin with an emp. Gr8 small man m8, 10/10. Sounds like you need all the help you can get, kid.

To think I actually thought you guys were OK people once. Shame.
Going off Kirin, that was the time their whole grp showed up @ Alessia farm to take it from the 3 or 4 of us, Tex was there I think, maybe Defiant too. Dan got run over by destros, but I literally have no memory of it other than fighting reds and yellows on the farm afterwards until yellow came from sej and flagged the front door, then we left and rode to Roe after the keep flipped.

Don't care one way or the other but I'm just trying to figure out if there's something I'm forgetting. iirc, the only time I died last night while we were small manning around Alessia was the 1v1 I lost to Chief.

Kirsi and Blaze got emp-stealth bombed? HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Kirin and Kirsi were probably too focused on following Saramis and Shadowgrabber that they failed to see us before it was too late. Just because they didn't see us coming, doesn't mean we were stealthed ;)

May be time to have Kirsi retool that Reactive/Pirate Skeleton build though if he's too squishy.

Keep challenging Tex to 1v1s, tho.

People do this? You don't have to challenge him he'll find a way to die either way.
He did after we killed him in the course of a bridge farm.

Was this right after we "stealthed bombed you with the emp group"? :D
No the bridge thing was about 3 weeks ago. I guess when you send so many rage tells it gets hard to remember any specific ones.

I've literally never whispered you, nor do I intend to.

From my experience in high end raiding guilds in other games, the answer is yes. Especially if strat stealing or player poaching is involved.

Here's your challenge to Tex while we're at it.

I'm still busy watching the video where we kill you over and over and over and you call that beating us in a 3v3.

Texas, I have been a jerk to you and I apologize for that. That being said we've had some good conversations.
Uh huh, I'm trying to see where I die "over and over" in that vid, cuz I don't see it. Mind linking a timestamp?

So Monday night was our first real raid night back on True Flame. I have to say it was nice to be back. The fights well are definitely more large scale in that numbers are always 24+. I'm not complaining because I think that is exactly what ZOS intended. We saw some old faces and some new ones and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. I wanted to thank all the players that welcomed us back to TF last night, it is good to be home. As many of you all know resource management is critical or at least will be by June and none of the changes are as dramatic as the twitch players are leading on about. From what I have seen several of the key elements of meta's are changing for the better. Yeah things will be tough no doubt at first especially if you are not prepared. But overall the world is not coming to an end and PVP will continue as it always has. Please enjoy the videos, I hear Meteor Monday is back.

I've never understood the culture or, quite frankly, what exactly there is to gain from hate-whispering our opponents who we see and compete against each other night after night. I'd ask someone to explain it to me, but after reading these threads and hearing awful stories for two years now, I prefer to wallow in my blissful ignorance. Edit for clarification: There is trash-talking / gamesmanship and then there is the hate-filled stuff that gets personal that is the root cause for so much unnecessary toxicity. The whole notion of a "hate tell" is hard to reconcile with sportsmanship. A "trash talk" tell i see as something different. But that's just me.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I had a lot of fun at the BRK dethrone attempt the other night. I did not spend my time counting the number of blues and yellows and passing judgement whether or not that number violated some unwritten rule. Did not get bent out of shape or take it personally when a number of high profile enemies seemingly specifically targeted me among the others EP defenders. Did not send a single whisper the entire night; instead I just played the game. Did not feel indignant about the numerous yellows and blues that flooded inside BRK through multiple breeches; indeed I almost wanted more of them because the oils I was pouring was giving me sweet AP and I was confident our defense was strong enough to hold the keep. And that's what happened. It was good competition from names I many nights I play.

    But again, that's just me.

Do you have as much fun when a strong AD emp with a good group has held emp all day, the server is crawling, players are all crashing and we're all giddy because the emp group just earned 500k AP farming the opposition at Alessia the past hour?

Yes. I dont know what's so hard to understand that if I log in to PvP multiple times during a week that I generally enjoy the experience.

As for strong emp groups, well that's fine by me. Because if i was ever emperor, I would not invite marginal players and have a weak group, but again maybe I'm weird like that. As for having to fight against Emp groups, well mathematics dictate that it has happened twice as often as I have defended so I am well versed in what that entails. Perhaps in the first few months of the game, I did get farmed because I had no idea how to PvP. But after some honest introspection and examining how and why I was dying (instead of coming to these forums complaining), I have learned to play such that even a strong Emp group generally does not farm me. Sure, I do die and sometimes pathetically in a bomb such that I get embarrassed. But even against the best "farming" groups, I typically come away having earned more AP from them than they did from me. They may get a boat ton of AP, but very little is coming from me dying.

I see the same names of people so often that I, perhaps naively, see them as cordial acquaintance who I am glad are a part of my gaming experiences in that I have good competition with them. I dont begrudge them when they win or how they win. Or at least I try. and usually succeed in such. Mostly because I try, again try, not to take things personally, Also I am well aware that as much as I try to play respectfully, there are times for various reasons that I do not live up to that standard. So the glass houses thing.

I think most would agree. It's like sports though. Fans root and get emotional about it. Players talk *** to rivals on the field, some people personalize their team to an extreme, but at the end of the day most know it's just a game. Every rage-whisper, every stealth-bomb, every server-breaking last stand, every rant, every non-sensical Publius skreed all just adds color to the experience.

I hope so! It's just that I get uncomfortable when it can be interpreted as going beyond that is all I'm saying.

And I'm not kidding when I say I look forward to defending Chalman against the DC faction stack. At no other time in ESO do I have the opportunity to pour so much oil on the heads of so many people I compete against and it's very gratifying to hear the kill counter go crazy. Maybe it just making lemonade from the lemon Zos has given us that is Cyrodiil. Yet it would be nice to have some threads where folks are trying to share their positive experiences not get derailed by players pointing fingers and accusing others such that ZoS's mods have to intervene.

That's not the point. The point is server performance. Even when the group I'm playing with has emp and we're excited about the AP and the dozens of opponents melting around us, we're also a bit sad because we're playing a slide show, sometimes we can't swap bars and we're dealing with a variety of server performance issues like crashes. At the end of the day, we all want decent gameplay which is impossible when the server is stressed.

So I don't mind a formidable emp group as an opponent. But I do mind server performance being far worse than usual for the entirety of prime time.

That's why I asked if you were joking. In general, a strong emp group means a very very meh playing experience for most players except those directly benefiting from the emp run -- like those at BRK. I'm sure most AD and DC were not enjoying the experience as much, nor were the EP who weren't at BRK.

As you were at BRK, I'm not surprised it was great fun for you, which is why I truly wondered if your post was wry.

I wish ZOS would change the depose requirements to address this.

As for trash talk, I don't really do it in-game but I like gamesmanship. Trash talk is a big part of sports. It can be fun as long as people leave it on the rink/court/field. Heated forum discussions are in the same vein and part of every competitive gaming (PVP or contested PVE) environment I've experienced. I think it adds a lot of flavor as long as people are not at all serious about the nastiness.

I think it adds a lot of flavor as long as people are not at all serious about the nastiness.

As I said, I have been involved with emp dethrones twice as much as emp defenses. So I know what it's like to take a last emp keep. Also it's not like the performance is somehow better for us EP @ BRK than it was was the blues and yellows. I also enjoy attacking heavily defended keeps because it is probably one of the most challenging things to do in ESO, especially if it is a strong emp group, and there is a great deal of competitive juice flowing. In short, while I do not like the server degradation, it still on the whole find it exhilarating competition that I look forward to taking part of. And I would have had fun being a DC or AD that night @BRK (though more so admittedly if we had won)

If I felt the game-play to be as bad as you claim, I could simply log off and read a book, catch up on Net Flix, call a friend, log into an alt on another PvP server, or run vMA, play Mass Effect, etc., there is a while host of leisure activities to do, some of them involve playing the same game. So I believe that if I have such a problem with emp dethrones that I should avail myself of these instead of asking, cajoling pressuring, pleading, beseeching, or clamoring other people to play that I think they ought to. I'm not going to tell the people who want to take part in the battle that they should go PvDoor Brindle Lumbermill because I insist on remaining in Trueflame and they have some sort of responsibility to ensure the server at that time, which I choose to play (as opposed to forced) works better for me.

Maybe this is a minority opinion. That's fine. I am entitled to it (just as other people are entitled to theirs). I am 100% consistent with it. I practice what I preach. I enjoy the competition. I don't tell people to go play something else; if I have such a problem with the server, instead I go do something else. So, no, I didn't just enjoy the BRK fight since I was on my EP. I enjoyed it because I thought it was fun.

As far as trash-talking, perhaps I did not explain myself as clearly as I should. There is trash-talking and gamesmanship and then there is the hate-filled stuff that gets personal that is the root cause for so much unnecessary toxicity. The whole notion of a "hate tell" is hard to reconcile with sportsmanship. That's all. I will edit the earlier post to avoid confusion

Lately our groups have been larger than I would like. Yes we are on TF and groups are typically large and stacked, but what I have noticed the last few nights that I have played is that AD is short on leaders or perhaps coordination. Especially in our play time.

I "believe" most people are testing out the PTS with battlegrounds, new sets, warden skills, Theory crafting the next patch etc. It's typical when new releases come out Cyro dies down for awhile then will pick up in a few weeks. The first few weeks in June Cryo will be dead when all of the new updates are released.

TF needs more decent sized 16-24 man EP and AD groups right now period. There is a plethora of large DC guilds out there running during primetime and beyond. Hopefully DK can encourage more AD guilds to lead in TF.

    TF PrimeTime status

For the most part DC guilds try and avoid stacking with each other. One of the main reasons is that the DC guilds really just dislike each other. BoD and SG pretty much hate each other. DC still has animosity towards VE when we re-rolled AD to help balance out TF. AK has less of the drama than the other guilds as they took a long break and have recently come back.

To sum up DC, I would say, BoD and AK are the core of DC. VE is the strength of DC. SG try's to rally all the DC players to wherever they are going.

    DC
    Vehemence (VE)___________Prime Time (5 PM EST - 1 AM EST)(12-24)
    Blood of Daggerfall (BoD)__Prime Time (5 PM EST - 1 AM EST)(8-16)

AD does have Ruin Gaming, the problem is they stack all their raids in the same spot. They have the potential to have 3 16-24 man raids running. Ruin Gaming doesn't have established players or a core of players that stand out so it's harder to recognize them.

To sum up AD, I would say, Dk & DD are the core of AD, Fantasia is the Strength of AD and Ruin Gaming is the faction rally group.

    AD
    Ruin Gaming_________________Prime Time (5 PM EST - 1 AM EST)(24-48)
Fantasia ____________________Prime Time (5 PM EST - 1 AM EST)(8-24)

    Dominant Dominion__________Prime Time (5 PM EST - 1 AM EST)(8-24)

    Staxus enough said. J/K

With EP it's a little different. PR and SoTP are a lot like the old Slywolf Pact. They like to hit keeps that aren't defended and would rather defend a keep than attack one that has a defense. PM is a lot like this as well but they will attack a keep once they have rallied enough zone EP to tag along.

To sum up EP, I would say, the core of EP is Pact Militia & Invictus. The Strength of EP is Haxus. The faction rally is also Pact Militia.

    EP

Some of the most if not best competitive guilds can be found during other prime times. Oceanic and Japanese guilds have a huge impact on the campaign regardless of what American players think (they tend to think they are the only ones that matter - newsflash, they don't). The server just happens to be in the NA but its a 24/7 game and server so there are several prime times and the NA prime time is just one of several.

    The Kelly Gang (8-16)
    Wormhole (16-24)
    Vivace (8-16)
    Queens RAM (16-24)
    ... and more

You're right about that. And since Wormhole re-rolled to EP, Oceanic has become a pretty even campaign this last week. DC / NA are going to have to work harder in keeping EP and AD in check. Good luck all!
