I left a group with low cp players today, here is why:

Its a normal dungeon, and I queue it for the loot I need. The gear I want, are not best in slot and no one wants it usually, so I'm able to buy it from the other players. The problem is, if a low cp player gets a piece, its his level, and cant be used. Any chance this can be fixed somehow? I have no problems playing with new players and low level, but seeing the set I need in divines or sharpend if weapons being cp 94, are really depressing.

EDIT:

First post I make where I wont even read all the comment. The amount of negativity in this community, are more insane then the rng in this game.
The loot I wanted, is not meta, no one wants it, and Im very nice and polite if I may buy it or not. And again, holy *** this amount of negativity, and yes I dont play this game for social, correct.

Why did you use dungeon finder then? Pointless 15 minute que and let down the people you got grouped with.

Either find a group in zone with 160cp+ for gear grind or solo the dungeon, with 810cp you should be able to solo every normal dungeon (most in 10-15mins).

Is another reason why we should be able to upgrade gear to highest level.

I don't blame you but truthfully you can solo these dungeons on normal some on Vet to farm for your gear.I could see using group finder so you have a better chance of getting the loot you need but you gump your self since their a chance to group with low levels and have to wait 15 minutes.

Sry but cant find 3 players for tempest island in zone chat.

Solo the dungeon, is 25% of the gear drop, consider I buy from my group members.

Yes, but solo is 1/4 less chance of the gear drop. Like I said, I buy / get the gear from others who drop.

So the exact same chance as if you'd stayed in the group.... with 4 people would've taken less then the 15minute wait anyway.

Depending on the dungeon, it could have been faster to rush it trough in 10 minutes so your 15 min cooldown disappears, allowing you to search for another random group asap. But each to their own.

Unsure of why you expect group mates to sell you gear they may very well be farming themselves.

The stated problem being that it's impossible to get level appropriate gear off of differently levelled players.

If the problem were that they don't want to trade, there would be nothing to complain about. It's their loot after all, they can use/trade/deconstruct/stash-in-bank it as they please.

I agree with this annoyance, encountered a touch of it here and there already myself.

So in other words you play for yourself and that's it. Not to make friends, not enjoy the ride.. For gear.

We understand completely. I'm sure the people in the group don't want you there either.

This mentality is bombarding every mmorpg in exsistance. You know why the majority of mmos don't get as big as WoW does? Because when it's in its infancy people get like this. You push newer players away because who wants to group with someone that's going to kick you out because you can't give them gear if it drops? WoW had many years of players helping each other and bonding before the whole gear curve came in. By the time it did there was already a huge player base of players that were there because they made lasting friendships. There are still millions of players that play to enjoy the company of others. WoW evolved to make it easier on the new player.

ESO as it is right now counts on the player base to draw in new customers. If you continue on this path, it's going to ruin the game in the long run. The more people act like selfish jerks the worst it's going to get. If you want this game to turn slowly into a pay to win cesspool of nothing but "veteran" players all out for themselves by all means keep kicking out those newer players because they can't advance your gear status.

drops should be a matterial that can be used in crafting.
this is yet another reason why i say ALL drops should be a special material that can be used to "Craft" the armor we want.
armor and weapons should not be droped. it should be a way for us crafters to make what people are looking for.

So why not have it set so that as long as a piece is tradeable within the group it scales to the owner?
Once it becomes bound or untradeable its gear level is fixed.

This would serve to encourage multi-level grouping and not make mono-level teams more rewarding.

@Soafee I used to do a lot of dungeons with the low levels in my guild, but I've stopped lately and only do it with a few low levels, because many of them use it to level up from lvl 10 to 50, always undergeared and in lack of skillpoints, because they don't go through the quests and gameplay of the main story, faction and guilds.

Most often when the low levels who do random normal dungeons to level up end up in group with equals, they can't complete the dungeons and struggle for 2-3 hours before disbanding.

I have sympathy for both sides of the coin really, but I think if you really want to farm a dungeon, it's easier to go with whatever group you're in, because most of the normal dungeons are easy.

While you use the grouping tool there is no secure way to get grouped with cp160+ players after you have quit one lowbie group and waited 15min, so you might end up in another lowbie group and another and another +.... that's 15min-30min-45min-1hour+ wasted depending on how eager you are to wait for a perfect loot-group.

This dungeon loot sharing option is just silly. ZOS should disable it back. Farm loot by your own and don't think I will share my loot with you. Even if it is divines, even if you really need it. even if... whatever. It's not your loot, it is mine. I want to deconstruct it for materials, maybe, and I will do it. I'm not greedy, but this attitude conсerning loot sharing is unacceptable. My loot is not yours by default. And ban this loot-looking addon.

You know as a CP 500+ I find your game practice to be rather repulsive and offensive. You JOINED a NORMAL dungeon run, and yet you get into a hissy fit when you get paired up with LOW CP players. What the hell do you expect man? Quit being such a puss and join a random VET like a big man you are, and leave the low CP players alone.

Low CP players are encouraged to participate in normal dungeons up until they become at an appropriate level to do veteran.

Not everyone is farming for loot. People join dungeons to have fun and to enjoy the aspects of ESO. This is why I don't like what ZOS is doing to this game. It's turning this game into farmville.... everyone is farming for something... XP and sets, and not enjoying the game itself. I blame ZOS for ruining this game.

I can understand only grouping with 160 CP+ when farming for some of the rarer drops. Seeing a CP 120 Sharpened Burning Spellweave staff drop would be soul rending lol. Your suggestion would definitely solve the problem.

Or better yet get rid of this BOP nonsense, and let us have the freedom to sell our loot in guild stores. You're right... it is our loot. It belongs to us. We should have the right to do whatever the hell that we want with it.... even if it means to sell it in guild stores.

And I agree. I think this Loot looking addon should be banned. I especially don't reward players for snooping around my private stuffs. When players start asking me for loot that I haven't yet showed to the chat I play dumb and pretend that I don't have it. Perhaps I will start becoming far more aggressive..

@failkiwib16_ESO Since t1 came out that may not be the case so much as now you can go where ever you want and do whatever quests you feel like it with out having your face smashed in or having to depend on a group all of the time.

t1 is what brought me back to ESO and I've really enjoyed the questing experience, I didn't before. I hated it. Being new and trying to find people to help me was tedious and unfun but now? I'm having a blast. Veteran players need to try at least to help people because lots of new players are coming in as well as older players coming back. T1 really did bring everyone together.

The hard part is getting people to give you a chance. I'd be more then thrilled if someone helped me in game. I don't even know what pledges are, or whatever. I have yet to be kicked out of a dungeon but i've had my fair share of people telling me things that made me want to quit the game. It sucks.

Thanks for explaining to me your thought process on this.. Still makes me sad to see people would rather just kick someone than make a new friend. I'm only thinking like this because I am that new player currently and I don't want to hit a brick wall when I get higher level :/

Uh. If I'm PUGing, I never expect to get gear from them. You want to group farm? Find a friend. Bring an alt account who tags along for the loot. But to PUG and expect others to give you their loot if it was max level? Um...

Two wrongs don't make a right. He left over a trivial issue which makes him look like a jerk and can hinder his plan in the end if people stop wanting him in their group because most people don't want to deal with his type just like the old ninja looters in another game.

Massively Overpowered just did a story on this topic yesterday and as you can see the majority of the posters are against leaving groups for such idiotic reasons as it is disrespectful to the others in the group. http://massivelyop.com/2016/11/01/the-daily-grind-are-you-a-leaver-in-mmorpgs/

If youre on pS4 EU, send me a friend request. I'll do dungeons with you.

Im over the fabled 160+ so the OP would be fine with me. However, I don't have a clue what im doing in a dungeon as I haven't done any. Its strange how the OP would happily take me along in 'their' group based on CP so he could take any loot that suits his build. I'd happily give any helpful player whatever dropped for free if it didn't suit my own build but im thinking the OP would probably get the middle finger.....

What they need to do is put actual auction houses in the game. It would make it easier for people to get what they want without some of the crazy guild vendor prices I have seen. Also it deals with poor excuses like the OP gave for leaving a group.
