But lets just take it from their own mouths.

ZOS: Start listening to the PvP community, admit your game is broken, and start fixing it, or more and more people will just give up and start cheating for fun.

Cheating is still ongoing. Cheat engine still works. People are finding work-arounds. Stop sweeping this under the rug ZOS.

Exactly. People are doing the same things on consoles now that the PC sees regularly. The "third party" barrier doesn't exist anymore with a little bit of extra work.
People are running macros, health bots, the works. Not as common as PC, obviously but still a thing.
And nothing is done about it. We've reported, submitted tickets with video proof, etc, on players who we clearly witnessed using the gap closer exploit and sending a x-faction friend into the outpost to be the gap close target and taking them without popping them just so they could cut off transit.
The rules are selectively enforced in game, while here, you get posts closed and warning messages for minor infractions while actually addressing real issues is completely neglected and you go ignored.

It's considerably easier to police the forums than it is to police the game. On the forums, it's all about text, while in the game you have to consider mechanics, gameplay, and "the code", all of which need to be investigated to see how the rules are being broken.davidj8291 wrote: »The rules are selectively enforced in game, while here, you get posts closed and warning messages for minor infractions while actually addressing real issues is completely neglected and you go ignored.
We have gone ahead and removed several posts that were detracting from the main topic. Please keep your posts civil and constructive. Also Posting videos in an attempt to call out an individual or group by name, and making them the subject of public accusation is a violation of our naming and shaming rule. If you genuinely believe someone has violated our Terms of Service, you should report them in-game via the support interface — do not bring the situation onto the forums.

Few months ago I said that players need to give time to ZoS to look at this and to detect the players which are cheating.
I am sorry to say that ZoS has not upped their game on detecting the players which are cheating in ESO and this is a big let down to the players of ESO. I don't know who is the anti cheat specialist for ZoS but that person / persons are lacking an understanding of cheat detection, Checking and securing game code.
The issues here is not the players using cheat engine but checking and securing the game code, even if ZoS came up with a way for them to detect players using cheat engine ( which is easy to do ) you are still going to get cheaters using injection or external cheats.
When it comes to detecting cheats and anti cheat I know for a fact that I know more then anyone else posting or works for ZoS, and the way ZoS have been dealing with this is nothing more then a joke

Okay we are supposed to be discussing cheating and exploitation here.
We are not to post video or pictures that name or shame.
I have made my points of where "I feel" there are week points in the game.
I have given video examples that are no longer posted that "I feel" displayed these week points in the game.
I have stayed jovial through out the barrage of insults that were hurled at me.
Now that most of what I have posted has been removed and there is not much to talk about because anything I might post would be eliminated I will leave you with this last thought.
I pay for my game.
I pay for my subscription.
I buy crowns.
I follow the rules.
I lead a very successful guild.
I help new players when they start in the game.
I pay to have a top notch website for my guild members.
When the time comes I will pay to have a guild hall for my members.
I sacrifice nearly 40 hours a week building and improving things for my guild members.
I do all these things not because I am getting paid to do so but because I love the game and the community I have helped to form here.
My questions are these and I challenge any developer or official individual to the companies which my money goes to to answer them each.
Do I blame the people who are making the cheats that are ruining my experience in the game?
Do I blame the players who are the first to use the cheats that are ruining my experience in the game?
Do I blame the players who are influenced to use the cheats by people who started using the cheats in the game?
Do I blame the guilds that were formed around the cheats and exploits in the game?
Do I blame the people who play the game for profit?
Do I blame the trolls who insult me while I try to get my point across about how I feel about all this?
Do I blame the person who heads up the team that leads the development of the parts of the game where all this is going on?
Do I blame the person who erases everything I post because somehow it is "hurting" people who most likely do care about the game at all?
Do I blame the head programmer for leaving too many open ends in the programming of the game allowing all the exploits and cheats?
Do I blame the project lead for not having more over-site over the rest of the teams?
Do I blame the company/individual who is putting money in their pocket not seeming to care about what the consumer is saying?
And of course the resounding end question that anyone who has ever been in business should be asking themselves daily.
Have I been responsible?
Please note no where in this whole post have I pointed anyone out by name. Nor have I been insulting. Nor have I said anything hurtful. There are no videos, pictures or accusations.

I have created a Facebook group where we chat openly about exploiters, the repercussions, share screenshots and cheer one another up should we become frustrated or defeated

I created a damn website for people to talk about it, I got about 50 video submissions of the same people and then people stopped using it, so I stopped making it, people like to talk a lot of *** about not liking cheaters, but they want someone else to do something about it.
The thing is, if you don't like cheating, you are going to have to stop it people. You are going to have to vote with your wallets and your social voices and literally force them to do something.
I'm not someone special by any means, but you see what one person with a clear and decisive goal can do? I was very upset about gap closing into keeps, I got video, I made a clear request to talk about it, they are now bannable offenses.
This is not new ideas, this is just how it works. They don't want to fix hard things, they want to work on easy thing, you have to force them to do the things they don't want to do.
I'm sure they are upset about people being upset, but their actions against cheating, the very nature of how this program communicates with the server, begs for people to exploit it.
Complaining on their forums where they control everything will do very little, get out there and make it happen, or walk away, which is just as powerful.
As long as we keep logging in and playing, while complaining, the complaint holds little water.
Why is this up to us? Because no one else will do it.
