Do you feel bad for the players that can no longer play ESO because of DX11?

No because DX9/10 has been obsolete for a while now.

They should have left the lower in.
Many a game do this, many do not shove something down their consumer's throats!
Another nice example of how companies can do whatever they like, while consumers get the dump.
Earthdawn Game Master Role Play Quotes by me:
"If it looks like a bear, if it feels like a bear, smells and tastes like a bear, then be VERY aware, it could be something ENTIRELY different..."
"Be careful what you wish for, you might get plenty of it..."

    Yes,
It's ZOS's fault to begin with for making the game directx 9, 10 compatible in the first place. If one bought a game with knowing its system requirements and having qualified hardware then you can't just take their product away without giving them a refund for it.
Upgrading PC is not mandatory and noone here has a right to judge the ones that have not yet upgraded their PC's without knowing their financial situation.
Here's a fun fact: There are a lot of countries where people earn under 500 euros per month.

I've build my first PC (an AT-compatible w/ an AMD 20 MHz 80286 CPU and NEAT chipset) in 1988. And after 28 years of using them all I can say is, believe me, it is.

    this.

It's a good move. Those with older rigs can always upgrade if they choose but not all games should have to pander to those who do not get new digs for whatever reason.

And really, was not any need to necro this thread since no one has seen interest in discussing this for awhile.

And yet ESO did change the requirements of the game. They could and they did withou providing refunds. I'd suggest talking with an attorney because this line of discussion in this forum is pointless.

Fun fact, the only people who make less than 500 euros a month and play this game are those who have someone else paying their bills. Not a relevant fact.

Do I feel bad for the players? Sure, maybe a bit. I mean, I feel bad that they want to play on PC and can't afford anything new enough to play it on. But I feel bad for homeless people, and anyone who is less fortunate.

Does that mean that I think that ZOS should cater to those players? Nope. Not at all.

Sorry you can't play. But that's the way it is.
