The thing is that in kyne in the below level 50 campaign sieges now pretty much one shot everyone,
I heard Siege Shield doesn't work. If that's the case, it should get fixed. But other than that, dummies standing in oil should burn.... ram became useless as a single oil will kill those on the ram.
But before you think that this helping the defenders, it's actually quite the opposite, adaptive attacking groups now go straight for sieging the top of the walls and one shot any defender who try to put up defensive sieges on the wall... since there is a limited space where you could put counter sieges up on the walls, it's quite easy to deny that area to the defenders...

And what about nightcappign empty keeps? And now you need full army to take single keep with 3 people defending it. Good luck.
Yes let’s promote skilless gameplay because zerglings don’t have the capability of fighting other players. Let’s make cyro only consist of siege.
So fun to punish small scalers because PvP just consists of useless 40k health tank bots who put up siege in open field against 1 person.

This game is really becoming way too casual friendly for cry baby noobs who don’t want to actually acquire skill and just seek easy ways out.
And before some plague doctor lightingstaff wearing 40k health bot comes up to me and spews some absurdities like “mAyb3 u sHouLdnT b3 iN a bAlL groUp”
1. Not my fault you get farmed by a ball group because you don’t know what teamwork is. A pug zerg shouldn’t be able to beat a coordinated group with communication. that’s like saying a high school football team should be able to beat a professional nfl team.
2. People who cry about ball groups are mad they get farmed because the opposing group has communication. Wanna beat a ball group? Group up with others and communicate instead of running around like headless chicken.
I’m already waiting for the “jUst sL0t pUrg3 dOoD” guy. Pretty self explanatory.
And before the “iT mAk3s cYr0 moR3 taCtiXal”
No it doesn’t, it just makes the noobs put up siege at the sight of one single person. I don’t feel like roaming cyro and fighting 1 or 2 guys only for some 3rd bot to put up siege in open field to kill 1 person. That’s not tactical nor does it even apply to “real life battle situations” like some of you role players want to assume.
Nobody is going to put up a gigantic siege engine to kill 1 or 2 people.
Apologizes for sounding any form of condescending but honestly the amount of casuals who cry for easy skilless gameplay, y’all are the prime example of why eso PvP is going down the drain

If you're a civilian then you seriously don't have enough tactical acumen to even comment on it.
Assigned button spam with easy mechanics is what a ball group is, PvP has been a train wreck.
If you didn't get hit by the siege, you wouldn't die.
It's all the people who think they're good crying about siege. But you know who's not crying, good players. Good Players adapt, they change their strategy.
Crying about it is Darwinism at it's finest.
While I think siege is certainly overturned ATM why aren't people just using Siege Shield? 35% reduction makes it very survivable.
We should be seeing Siege Shield at doors and breaches but it's like no one wants to bother adapting for a few days and would just rather complain.

If you think ball grouping takes less skill than sieging you have 0 PvP knowledge. It’s easier to siege than ball group. The fact that you make ignorant claims such as ball grouping takes no skill just shows that you are one of those who get farmed by ball groups and don’t understand the fundamentals of it at all.
I’m not crying about it, I’m stating how this game caters too much to casuals. I want PvP to actually be skill based and not full of a bunch of thumbless siege bots running around sieging everything in sight. It makes combat boring if everyone just puts up siege instead of actually engaging in fights.
Sure keep defenses are understandable but when you’re sieging 2 guys in open field you’re a part of the problem.

Sounds like you don't want Cyrodiil but some larger scale BG.
There's nothing wrong with siege in open field too (well maybe trebuchet). Catapults and ballista were used in the field at times. It's dumb to use it vs 2 enemies but vs groups? Nah I call it smart.
I used to hear the same sorts of complaints in DAOC - "8v8 only!", "Nobody add to our 8v8 fight plz", "Stop zerging we're trying to 8v8", etc. etc. It's all nonsense.
Siege needs fine tuning though. All PvP damage does. For some reason all PvP damage is increased this patch.
