I honestly haven't used them since the nerf in Homestead patch... Are they really that strong? At least for open world on stamina, Lingering HP / Major expedition is quite the game changer for a stamina DK, as the extra healing allows you to go on the offensive much more easily. It makes about 20% of your total healing received if you're actively on the defense, and around 40% if you are aggressive. Pretty much like having a second Forward momentum up at all times.

I don't see it being as useful on magicka, as shields provide a good enough burst defense in most cases - which stamina doesn't have when they have to drop Rally.

It's disheartening to see fighters get stuck in lag spikes. Watched a duel at Chalman mine on PS4 NA, and they both backed out when the stamWarden saw his melee MagNB opponent was having some serious lag spikes.

Their fight was pretty awesome to see none the less.

I love that matchup. Sounds like they were good guys too, to back out when lag kicks in.

She was soooo dangerous. Animation Canceled Soul Harvests, Cloak LoS'ed his Shalks and made it near impossible for him to hit her. Both kept getting to 20% health, then bouncing back just in time.

Really love the Melee MagNB fight style. With that new gank set coming out, I hope to don that in open world Cyro and just gank on a Melee magNB soon.

Essa was getting 1295 hps from his in a duel without the Major Vitality buff. That's just shy of 60k health over the course of his potion cooldown...

When I was fighting various players using the pots, and then again with basic tripots, I noticed a huge subjective difference. This is something we'll have to feel out over a couple of weeks to really decide on.

They're out this week, and we'll be watching how stamina players perform without them. I'll continue dueling people with them and polling the guild to gauge their opinions. The rule can always be reverted in the future.

I still feel Rubixy won that duel vs Faso tbh. Idk what the decision process of someone stalling for time vs someone playing aggressively and maintaining pressure is (my opinion from watching the duel back). Especially considering the next match was another stalemate which went in the opposite favour. That being said tournament, as always, was well run and fun to watch.

Perhaps in those situations both sides should go through and whoever beats the next guy makes it. I'm sure he will be back though

The tournament was good to watch and well organised.

It was a shame to see so many stalemates. I to agree in the circumstances where subsequent stalemates occur it would be nice to see both parties of the previous round be offered a chance to win the fight rather than stalemate.

that aside, Kena how come you stopped competing in them yourself? I image the tournaments would be at their best with all the top duellists competing no?

I haven't seen anyone using snb ult once in all of our tournaments, and we only had a couple resto ults cast this past tournament. They both have their uses in high pressure matchups in order to gain offensive windows. Keep in mind how much more expensive resto ult is now. Regardless, they have not caused any of our stalemates so far.

Yea I'm not a fan of the stream vote stalemate decisions anymore either. We went that route because I got a LOT of grief about my judgments a few weeks back from uninformed and biased viewers, and I just got sick of hearing it. This weekend, we hope to have a panel of 3 or 5 knowledgeable PvPers to serve as judges. We hadn't had people for such a panel until now, so hopefully that pans out (can't use the streamers because they're preoccupied with entertaining their viewers).

That said, Rubixy was able to go as aggressive as he was in part because sorc damage is garbage right now. Faso survived well and had more near kills against Rubixy than against him. I'd have liked to see that match play out with Faso using DB instead of meteor, considering how low Rubixy got at times.

The stalemates were annoying. Sorc struggles to kill anything, and we had some tough matchups between durable, albeit medium armor, stamina players.

I haven't been competing because I don't want to discourage others from entering. I get a lot of pressure to stay out week to week. lol Once the top 5 becomes more consistent, I'll step back in and start keeping that fat milli for myself again

How would you get 1300 hps out of a potion that heals for ~470 base?

That would mean you´d have 180% increased healing - is that even possible?
Note that the potion can´t crit so it would have to only flat healing bonuses.

Doing a little math it would be with argonian, major + minor mending, major + minor vitality, 13% in both healcp, sanctuary set and ritual mundus.
But is that a realistic scenario? I mean it´s not like you´re going to kill such a build anyways are you?

My comparison would be the base value before any healing modifiers it has less hps than rapid regen in that case.

Yea I know, but if I enter, then it becomes two people doing it instead of one. He and I agreed that he will bring a different class each time from now on. He had also said he likely wouldn’t participate every week, but we didn’t come to a concrete agreement about that. Maybe we should. I still help him and the others practice each week leading up to the tournaments.

Perhaps the winner from each week fights the winner from last week. If knocked out they can compete again and try and regain the crown. Otherwise it would be fun to see a tournament of just the top 2-3 from each week maybe last weekend each month on a rotation

I'm considering implementing a more shallow curve on the prize pool, awarding more people than just the top 5 for coming, and giving the top few spots less than they receive now. The idea would be to continue incentivizing people to participate while not making the few top players' presence a negative incentive for everyone else.

Edit: also we've joked about a "double or nothing" fight against me for the 1st place winner ever since week 3 when I began sitting out. lol Fight me and win, and it's an additional mil gold. Fight me and lose, and you walk away with nothing. So far, no one's taken me up on it.
