Also im glad guild leadership has decided against certain setups. that DK trollking permablock until WW is up is brutal...

May i suggest a ult dump rule as well? As in you must be at 0 ult when the fight starts. Light attack until full, wait a few seconds for ult regen buff to fall off then use the ult under supervision of an officer. Somtimes it can be an issue when i duel in stormhaven and i have soul assault up, just to one two punch my enemy within fove seconds

The trick to beating werewolf builds is to go full offensive once they're up. Burst him all you got and you'll put him on the defensive, and once that starts it's bye bye resources. It's really tricky though as they have crazy pressure thanks to OP defile, just gotta do more damage than they do first.

Kiting with roots and snares also helps a lot, if your class has that available to it. #mageblademasterrace

We don't actually have a concrete rule against werewolves, but I haven't seen anyone playing one. A ww could definitely wreck a dueling tournament, though, with how strong those are.

lol I should specify that it's magicka v magicka. We aren't sure if we want to implement that rule yet. Most sorcs that I know hate sorc v sorc with harness though.

Updated the rules section. Troll King is banned due to a bug. The health regen it grants is currently not being reduced by defiles, but base health regen is. I didn't have gear to test health regen from other item sets.

Ive dueled and killed some of them!!... cant wait to be there for next tourney...

Im not complaining about WW just the trollking heavy armor super tank passive healing WW builds that seem to be most common on dks.

The easy access to major defile does NOT help as a magplar...them purges cost some BIG magick now..

I was watching the stream and my favourite moment had to be the "who *is* that guy?!" comment about the magicka warden The final two fights were quite suspenseful, and paired with the commentary, it was like watching a live sport - very entertaining! Great job all who participated, and congratulations to the winners!

Even young Kena was only born when the gates of the Imperial City were cast open, and he took the name of the demon Molag Kena. I had my name in early 1.6 long before the Kena boss was ever announced.

The demon Molag Kena is named after me. It’s only fitting.

Participants were predominantly magicka, and the server’s best stam players were not there. Magden and heavy defiles are hard for stam to deal with, but I wouldn't use these finals as a measure of game balance until we get some more stam players in a tournament.

Idk that’s what people chose to run. The server’s top stamplar and stam Warden players declined to enter despite those classes performing well in other recent competitions.

Oh we had at least one stam DK too. They and stam sorcs struggle in 1v1s though, sadly, so don’t expect to see too many going forward.

If you ban defile CP things look a whole lot different for stam classes - they have no realistic way of countering defile against a shielded magica build.

Vitality pots are your best bet, but I don't see many stam even running them

A Befoul ban is not easily enforced and would increase stalements against and between templars, DKs, and wardens. It's an imperfect fix on its own, and I'm not sure what other bans would be needed to balance the system. • Befoul CP is super strong, to the point where defile can overpower those healing buffs
• Quick Recovery and Blessed are comparatively weak, and are in the end reduced by Befoul's influence anyways

Oh not saying that it´s the perfect solution but just pointing out that stam builds suffer much more from befoul than magica builds do atm.

CP has been more balanced than non-CP since Morrowind. No reason to cling to non-CP anymore. Time to move on.

We just aren't bothered by ults as much, I guess. It's come up a couple times in rules discussions, but the guild just kind of shrugs and doesn't care. If someone dies to a meteor combo 10 seconds in with full resources, then they're bad. lol

The person who drops a meteor 10 seconds in is also bad.

Legend is developing a unique culture. We don't care who wins fights. Our egos aren't tied to wins and losses and tournaments. Our duel gatherings are full of RP and trolling and laughs, some people come in troll builds, and everyone's just hanging out and chilling. It's pretty amazing to watch. I think this results in more people coming to duels and tournaments in open world builds instead of tryhard ***.

Yes, my Durok's build was originally an open world build, and I've played it in open world plenty.

Or maybe the NA dueling scene is just in a new infancy after being largely dead from Dark Brotherhood through now, and people just haven't put their tryhard cheese pants on yet. I'll do my best to see that it doesn't come to that, though.
