Did you know yes that lockpicks were invented when an orc got shut out of his own house with only his ear cleaning stick for company? In his rage he began stabbing the lock with it. Behold there were lockpicks.
At some point they must have acquired deep spiritual significance for the Dunmer of Vvardenfell. Many, many have been found with the remains of their dead. Khajiit can only assume there are many locked doors on the way to the underworld.
It is also considered good luck across Tamriel to keep a lockpick in every drawer, wardrobe, chest and cupboard. Even the locked ones yes.

There is an area for practical demonstrations to the side of the classroom section.

It is to all our benefit to instruct younger members of the profession. Too many times recently this one has been at work and been interrupted by botched pocket cleaning attempts by a poorly skilled traveller and we are all fed up of seeing an unlooted corpse just lying there yes. Nothing worse than loot that has been left behind.

✭✭✭✭✭Incidentally the Old Mage whose house we used for the practical aspects of the training has now locked us out.
Vasin-Dar defiling the carpet with his sickness was apparently too much. Well if you will keep fine liqueurs in the house then of course we will sample every single one of them. Sometimes more than once.
Does anyone have a fine and expensive mansion we could use for practice? This will involve going through your drawers and cupboards, drinking all your booze, climbing on things and leaving paw prints on the walls.
