it's all worth it. it always was (i agree that certain very frustrating points were existing along the road) and still will be, especially since they added a master writ drop chance into it...

Selling the ornate items and decoding the intricate ones for the extra mats is another seven hundred gold a shot. Selling low level crafting mats from the reward boxes is another revenue flow, it's not as if that junk has a use, my new alt will have to find their own mats.

@Integral1900 : Wait... Intricate items produce more mats when deconned? I have been selling them at aution house for about 250g/item, presumably because I thought people bought them to level alts. Are you saying white intricate items produce more than 250g of mats?

Nope, they usually give 3 mats, rarely more. 3 mats are worth 30-70g. The same items sell on guild stores for 150-180 gold. So it's more profitable to sell them there, unless you have something more valuable to sell. I've sold a lot at some point but now I've put more valuable stuff in guild stores, so I usually decon them for the base mats and style material since the margin is so small.

Yeah this stuck out to me too. Granted, I only do one toon, but I think over the past year I've gotten maybe 2 or 3.

I get 1-2 ambrosia recipe fragments a week from my 4 maximum level crafting characters. I now sell them for about 4K a piece on guild stores but I had learned a recipe on my main and completed another which I keep in the bank just in case the cipher drops some day.
