I think this is a wonderful incentive to encourage subscription numbers.
what does WoW give you for your subscription?
what does FFXIV give you for your subscription?
im not saying these games dont give you anything, but im sure they give a lot less.
ESO was founded on subscription. it literally helped fund the game development for consoles. despite no real appreciation being shown for that by zos or other players, we long time consistent subscribers know very well we are literal saviors and unsung heroes of ESO.
you love this game? support it with your wallet.
that being said, ZOS please lower the price of motifs and mounts in the crown store. Dont be like Games Workshop and price loyal customers out of the game.
But im sure those pricings are controlled by Zenimax parent company marketing team forcing ZOS to create items to meet their sales quota figures.

On the negative side. Say goodbye to ANY chance of housing coming with permanent storage EVER.
Also say good bye to any forum thread asking for any sort of purchasable storage increase in any way.
Here is an example:
Forum Thread: ZOS give us storage in housing
Automatic response: They can't do that because it will interfere with their subscription business model
Forum Thread: ZOS give us more purchasable bank space
Automatic response: They can't do that because it will interfere with their subscription business model
Forum Thread: ZOS give us a way to combine gear into 1 item as a whole outfit
Automatic response: They can't do that because it will interfere with their subscription business model
So on the one hand, this is a great idea. On the other, I am afraid that this will prevent some quality of life changes from coming to the base game.

Too bad ..because I'm a huge fan of the ES games and ESO MMO .
We pay almost for everything ..but for an increased bank space.....?
ESO become almost like the free to play titles...but the difference is we pay for everything.
I hope the devs will think about some inventory or bank spaces for non subscribers too..and after that everything will be ok.
I want to know what's gonna happen for a subscriber if he cancel is subscription...he will loose the items...until next sub or he will receive 240 mails?....Or he will must buy an item from Crown Store to keep them?
Please include Chapters in ESO + and this will be the best incentive to subscribe besides Crafting Bag.

I think the words "can't" should be replaced with "unlikely"

Real-world money buying in-game advantages is inherently bad. It obliterates the integrity of the RPG experience.
On the other hand, selling inventory/bank space in the Crown store isn't a thing I would normally have trouble with.
I suppose if it were "subs automatically get all possible inventory and bank space open to them," I wouldn't have a problem with it. But access to space non-subs don't have seems like an unfair advantage to me, and you can't buy unfair advantages in good games.
Honestly, I'm disappointed. I was really hoping they'd come up with a new financial-advantage value-add for ESO+, not an in-game advantage. I have no idea what that might have been, though.

Almost literally, every other comment is asking for some sort of bank/inventory increase for subscribers.
Subscribers asked for it, ZOS made it/is making it a reality.

Well most people will phrase it like "ZOS will never do that because...."
It's a form of an inherency argument that is very common on these forums but is not very intellectually rigorous and is sort of a "Stop Thought" that derails threads and poisons some very good suggestions coming from people that post on these forums.
When someone comes up with a great suggestion and posts it to the forums, we should discuss that suggestion based on its own merits. The standard for whether an idea is a good idea or not is whether, if implemented, it would bring value and benefits to the players. Once we have established whether the idea, if implemented, has value, we can then discuss whether its feasable, or whether ZOS is willing to implement it,etc. Having the second discussion before the first kills the idea in its crib before we can really talk about it.
When someone replies to the post, assuming they know the hearts and minds of the developers and says something like "ZOS will never do that," it derails the thread, and makes tons of unhelpful assumptions.
In the case of storage, I think there is a real conflict of interest. Storage is already heavily involved with ESO plus due to the crafting bag. This change I think would prevent ZOS from every instituting any other storage-related upgrade in the game that is purchasable with gold or crown.
The end result, if you examine the slippery slope, is that this game becomes so frustrating to play if you aren't subscribed as ZOS will make decisions about adding even more item types based on the premise that people will be subscribed.
I think subscribing should have value but I don't want to see a future where only subscribers can be free of massive inventory headaches.

Before you ask, I am currently subscribe because I want to support them, but I'm reconsidering...

What actual advantage is it buying? None. An advantage would be some OP weapon or armor you could only obtain through the store that would absolutely lay waste to anything in game. But we already have bank slots that can be purchased....But hey who knows, maybe youve never visited the Crown Store.
I most certainly did not imply that in any way.Uriel_Nocturne wrote: »This statement is demonstrably false. Plenty of ESO+ subscribers have issues with the limited bank space. This is stupid since most players who have inventory problems are not eso+ subscribers

you made it look like players who are not eso+ will deactivate their accounts if their bank space gets doubled
Only to say: nicekeep up the good work
