As someone who doesn't sub it sucks. I just don't see enough benefit to sub even with the craft bag. I just want more bank without having to rent it. I have several mules and inventory management is a pain. It just really is bs to try and force me to sub to get more inventory space.
Gee wonder why the houses didn't get any storage space...

Looking forward to it, this is nothing new in the realm of a subscriber based system. Thank you for additional bank space!! While this particular note doesn't affect me, a lot of my friends have several "mules" they can finally rid of in anticipation for the Warden class.

That said, as some of you have guessed, this text was a bit premature and made its appearance before the feature is actually ready. To avoid any confusion, we'll be removing this text until June when we launch Morrowind. We hope everyone will enjoy this upcoming benefit to the ESO Plus membership!

It's not that different than the crafting bag for ESO+ and I still need the space...lol

Someone suggested a transmog system. That should not be and ESO+ only thing imo. That should be added as a QoL feature.

For me additional bank space is much more exciting than a transmog system would be. I find that the loss of the crafting bag when I unsub already means that I want to subscribe during periods when I actively play the game, so losing access to bank space as well isn't a big negative. If I'm taking a break from the game in-game storage is a non-issue.

I also feel that a transmog system, if implemented, should be available to everyone. Subscribers might get some bonus features, but the basic functionality should be available to all.

I think this is a clear sign ZOS doesn't want to expand the current system without monetising it.

It's frustrating but I guess they've found the correct pain points to drive subs.

I agree with the metafore and I disagree with any concept that this feature is an incentive to subscribe.
I believe the term incentive is better written as requirement.



It's only an incentive to those who are constantly seeking a reason to justify their subscription that they've already stopped and may want to re commit to. Their reason to subscribe or continue isn't based upon the OP info that was confirmed. You and many others have another "incentive" and that may differ between all of you but you're subscribing regardless, let's be fair.

You and many others were not going to stop subscribing.
The term incentive would apply to someone like me or those who have subscribed in the past and stopped due to no perceived value and by this being changed, they decided to start a new subscription. That same idea applies to a non subscriber who decides to start due to this only.

For me this and the crafting bag are detriments to ESO plus
Guess some will, some won't but ZOS continues with a so what perspective.

I quit the game and deleted it because of things like this. The game has become incredibly annoying to play without subscription and even though I paid a lot of money on the dlc and other content I still have to sub then buy the expansion.

This game has gone way too far from the b2p model which is what got me into the game in the first place

People have been crippled with limited bank space. We've been asking for better bank management for a while and it is just being used as "incentive" to subscribe...after introducing a housing update with no functionality. I don't see what you don't get.

Allow non ESO+ members to upgrade to 480 slots, double this for ESO+ members. Reduce the upgrade cost to 10% of its current price.

I say this as an ESO+ member and one who has his bank already fully upgraded. I feel that storage in this game is so extremely limited and expensive to upgrade, that it takes too much focus to manage your space.

This should count for character inventory slots as well.

And please, add affordable storage to houses, no 5k crown bankers that hardly anyone will buy. Just change the boxes that are currently just decoration, to be functional and have the ability to store 1-10 items.

15$ per month is not a lot of money (I realize this does not apply to everyone) and I do not mind spending it to support the devs (who shouldn't be expected to work for free) I think it is a great idea, I agree as well that if they increase it for subs they should do something for non-subs to increase theirs as well (though not to the same level or it would not be an incentive to sub).

I'm all for this. Double bank space would appease my grieves, although getting the merchant and banker for free would also be nice and I'd like to see some housing storage in the future.

Anything that is pure QOL, like alleviating the current inventory nightmare, should be capable of being earned through play. Give people a way to buy it in the store, sure. But let the grinders grind for it if they wish. I am 100% against the idea of gimping fun factor in order to drive profit, and that's exactly what this does. There seems to be a pattern emerging lately...

Well, now you're misdirecting into two other completely different areas of discussion that have no bearing on the discussion. Is your argument really that weak?

Housing I have been extremely critical of in multiple other threads, and I deeply believe that there's no point to it if there's no additional storage opportunities tied to Housing. Housing NEEDS additional storage, just like Housing offers in... every other MMO on the planet.

As far as your baseless claim that they somehow CUT available bank space only to monetize it later (i.e. in Update 14); ummm... you need to *** out some proof before that argument will fly.

But it still doesn't change the fact that additional/double bank space as a "perk" for subscribers is a good idea, and a good incentive to get more people to subscribe.

Because, you know, if ZOS decided to, they could do both; add additional storage to Homestead (which should have been a launch feature of that broken, worthless Housing update) AND they could still offer double bank space beyond that to subscribers.

Can you blame them? In the official ESO+ Ideas thread, every other reply from players was suggesting adding some sort of inventory increase to ESO+
