My story is I want ZOS to restore the budget to the community team. Seriously - Loremaster's corner, build of the week, random *** from Mendo. How much does that seriously cost? Because it has a lot of value. It shows ZOS cares. And it'd be a lot cheaper than that $1 million giveaway. You could even partner with streamers so they can do give aways of special cosmetic pets.

I think the best about 1T is that you can run into your friends from other factions. A few days ago I ran into a few friends in Craglorn. We duelled for a bit and talked too much, probably annoyed a few people in /s-chat along the way. But it was all good fun, and it might've involved lamppost role-play. Might've.

I spent three hours trying to get Spriggan weapons. Ended up finally getting one...in training. Logged off and started playing Overwatch.

So inspired by One Tamriel that I've created a new character specifcially to enjoy this new format - and enjoyed it I have.

Being able to go anywhere and pick up any questline is great, and easier access to dungeons and groups is key (I'm much more for group PvE than PvP).

Duels are fun too, only suggestion would be don't allow them in certain places (kind of annoying when there's 3 duels going on at once inside the bank!)

    Great fun

    What's old is new again.

For the first time in well over a year, I went back to Glenumbra and other parts of Daggerfall. it was great to go home again now that its not a waste of time. As this was my first, I had some unfinished business. Several delves across the early zones had been run through for skyshards but I had not actually cleaned out. A run along a beach feeling long missed sand followed by a brief clean-up of some Dominion squatters and I knew it was good to be home. The cities were a beehive of activity and it was good to see so much going on. have settled back in Rivenspire, among kith and kin. three other siblings have done so as well, though we are far from sedentary.

What's new is new again too.

The local fighter's guilds and those odd lunatics just outside of the capital's have run into some trouble. The guild needs someone to help with some new dolmen activities. Since i had never had much experience with those, I was concerned but hey, I'm home so i should lend a hand. meanwhile the lunatics had spread word they needed folks with experience in some delves i was familiar with so, hey, never hurts to make new friends, even crazies, around home. Turns out the dolmen's were quite a surprise and a good way to meet interesting daedra and kill them. Also a good way to meet new friends. Those delves were dusky as always and had a few added wrinkles. the guilds and crazies were appreciative and even generous and far be it from me to question where those crazies got these shinies.

    Double, Double Toil and Trouble

Its not all fun and games though. So many carts of "unclaimed" gear are coming in from the sisters' travels (and truth be told my own exploits) that i spend most of my days inside over the tables and anvil salvaging what i can. I am seeing quite a few new designs that i find intriguing and am holding off tearing them down. Fortunately, that still leave the night's free to head out and enjoy the sights of Rivenspire by Dark and grab a quick bite. the oddly placed cauldron and a number of extremely gaunt strangers definitely shake (or at least rattle) things up a bit.

This idea came about while I was farming dolmens for the achievement and plunder skulls. I often find myself wondering about how the enemy thinks of it all. This is what has been rattling around in my head for a few days.

    *****

The contemplation of a doomed Xivkyn.

Excerpt found written in blood on a piece of human skin, translated from Daedric by Basil Ieya-Sil of House Telvanni.

I am Xivkyn Dahakon and I have been chosen.

It is a great honour to be chosen to enter the rift of one of my Lord Molag Bal's anchors and do battle with mortals. It fills my heart with great pride and I can't help but hold my bearing high.

Yet, part of me is not so sure it is much of an honour.

I was given life in the Vile Laboratory and have served my Lord for many thousands of years. I have done many cruel and imaginative tortures on daedra and mortals alike, at the behest of Molag Bal… and I admit, sometimes for my own enjoyment too, especially when the victim was a Dremora. How I loathe those boot-licking lackeys. Life in Oblivion is filled with murder, violence and cruelty, and we Xivkyn are some of the best at such things. I have done many dreadful acts without a shred of remorse and would happily do so again.

Now, here I am contemplating my situation as I wait with my fellow Xivkyn and other lesser daedra for the anchor to be completed.

The air around us buzzes with magicka mixed with excitement and anticipation and it is a heady brew for sure. We all feel Lord Molag Bal's eyes upon us, watching for any sign of weakness. He suffers no weakness; failure is terminal for us, no matter who we are. The two chosen Ogrims are almost hopping up and down with glee, drooling at the thought of biting into tender mortal flesh. Such children!

Me though, I am not really sure what I think, in all honesty.

In recent years, the mortals have grown strong, developed their skills against us. They forge armour with such skill that it can give them a significant edge in a fight. Not one of my Lord Molag Bal's anchors has prevailed so far. Not one. Mortals are not to be underestimated. Their will to survive is strong. Stronger even than loyalty to a higher power. Their lives are so short, yet they fight with such ferocity to cling to those few years. Mortals age, grow weak and foolish, they wear and are used up. Mortals are doomed to death, failure and loss. Their will to cling to this is beyond my comprehension – why do mortals not despair?

Dolmens, they call the stone anchorpoints. A soul is sucked in, some unfortunate innocent used as the sacrifice to my Lord.

Now the song of the magicka roars in our ears as the connection is made, and we get ready to jump into the swirling rift. The souls of the mortals that summoned it are sucked up and into Molag Bal's domain, forever trapped and tormented for their services. Still, they keep on coming and summoning and dying.

Daedra, undead and worshippers alike begin to throw themselves in – like cattle to slaughter.

This is it, then. This life I have known for millennia is soon to be over. My Animus will be cast into the Darkness until I am remade anew, not even to remember who I was before. All that is me right now will be gone and I'll be someone – something – else. The Xivkyn Dahakon will be but a memory to those who survived my passing, those whose beds I enjoyed, those who fought beside me.

I have been chosen… to be thrown away at my Lord Molag Bal's whim. I am proud, that is without doubt. Yet, I can't help but see the futility of it all. All those years, all those millennia… wiped out in a heartbeat. Now it is my turn and I walk towards the rift. I will undoubtedly die, but I die for my Lord Molag Bal. Here I go then….

    ...I am not afraid.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

Oh well, One Tamriel is a lie ;)

You still have different zones, as the zones sometimes can't handle all players ;)

Anyway, some cool stories. Just to name a few...
    - You can almost spend your whole time farming equipment, which you most likely won't use anymore with the next DLC. Seriously great content.
    - All the proc sets is what the elder procs online makes so special, click one button or two buttons and see how your opponent dies because you're wearing some fancy armor. The skill required to kill someone has highly been increased.
    - All the bugs introduced with One Tamriel are great and increase the social aspect of the game. If you're in Cyrodiil you had to reinvite your friends all the time, so communication went up a lot!
    - They managed to keep the good maintenance up. Maintenance everywhere! For everyone! Enjoy!
My group, and I, were exploring the Imperial city and searching for tel-var-stones when we stumbled upon a rogue Ebonheart Pact argonian. He saw the great number of us, and surrendered. Taking pity on him, we agreed that we would keep him alive if he assisted us in finding tel-var-stones, which he did. Once we began our search, the argonian attempted to slip away, and return to the E.P. sewer base. We knew that he kept some of the tel-var-stones that we earned from terminating daedra, and we weren't letting him slip away equivalent to the lizard that he was. We eventually chased him down and killed him. We all obtained a share of his tel-var-stones, and I gladly bought a new pair of boots at the sewer base. In conclusion, the moral of this story is, if you ever spot a soldier from an enemy alliance in the Imperial city, kill them where they stand. They may possess a large quantity of goodies.

OT: Great story, but you realize that some of your friends most likely didn't get any stones? Because some smart decision that only people who deal damage are getting stones? Not for healing or other kind of support. Oh and by the way, by dealing damage i mean damage directed at your opponents health. Dealing 100k damage to your opponent shields won't count.

Almost 2 weeks with a group bug in Cyro that made it impossible to group = unplayable
It made me not wanting to play.

The bug is fixed, but cant really find any interest anymore.

One Tamriel made everything so simple, and pulled the plug of "wanting" to log in.
