You've been requesting this, and we've been listening! Beginning with Update 11, Cyrodiil will feature the capturable towns of Cropsford, Vlastarus and Bruma! Each town contains three flags to capture and control, one with no guards, one with a few guards, and one that is heavily guarded, in a fashion similar to district flags in the Imperial City. Capturing a town grants an Alliance another place to respawn from PVP deaths and access to town merchants selling purple-quality gear for Alliance Points. Experience this new style of PVP gameplay and win honor and glory for your Alliance!

We'll have to see how this plays out in reality. PTS coming soon apparently.

They need to change IC flags to have 3 flags as well.

These should be a really fun addition to PVP. Not only will we have to attack/defend Keeps/Outposts but towns as well as they will offer respawn points. I can't wait!

    Sounds awesome!

Question is... how bad will they nerf the Warlock set when it's updated to v16. I want to rock Warlock/Magnus just like old times.

This one is pleased to see this change. However Telel must also be an elf about these matters and point out that if they are not of strategic importance then there's little reason for them. Especially if it will be limited to just those three.

One can already buy gear in the base camps, and with camps having an extra respawn point will mean little unless they also provide some other benefits.

Preferably these, and other locations, will also factor into winning the campaign or even obtaining emperorship.

Were khajiit to have further say on the matter they'd say that ZOS should make becoming emperor a matter of accruing political power in cyrodiil and that capturing these towners and having people complete tasks in or near them be a part of the process.

It says in their press release that all old sets from the Trials will be upgraded.

Bruma is strategically pointless because it is right next to Dragon, but the other 2 would make nice forward positions decreasing the time for AD to get back to Drake or Brindle when attacking or faster access to AD's lower keeps for EP and DC. I would like if the towns had point values for the campaign though.

If they add transitus access to towns you own that is not thwarted by status of keeps.... I think it will be really good.

Now maybe they should add those caravans they talked about some time ago, trying to supply those towns, but I hope it adds another element to the pvp in Cyrpdiil, I have a feeling after the shine wears off it will only be controlled by whatever the zerg of the day is.

I like how they think capturable towns will provide a new PvP experience, while everybody that plays PvP (which is not ZOS developers) knows it will just be a zerg fest.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom: What happened to Murkmire? Has it been killed and are the two dungeons salvaged and now presented as DLC? Or am I too jaded?

Do you guys think Warlock is still a good choice given the removal of regeneration caps?

I'm not sure it would be relevant even if it was CP 160.

Edit: Also Warlock in it's heyday was popular at a time that heavy attacks with staves didn't return magicka IIRC.

Warlock was good because of regen cap and it comes in jewelry. As far as set bonuses go Lich is objectively better now without a cap and scaling with CP.

Yes, Lich is better in terms of power. (by a ton)
Warlock has jewelry, though. So you could run 5H if desired.

Sticking a flag in a PvE village sounds thrilling, Cyrodiil needs a complete overhaul of mechanics, scoring and new objectives rather than sticking flags everywhere and hoping people care enough to capture a town.

I'm pumped for this. I want all of the little towns to be this way in Cyrodiil so we can spread out from that zergy inner circle and have fun pvp all across the map.

As far as race change, my imperial stamdk is excited to become a redguard. However, bringing races in line with one another seems like it would have been a better idea.

Does anyone else agree that the soul and concept of what Cyrodiil/PvP in ESO was meant to be is being lost somewhere in all the conversation and diarrhea of ideas/wants constantly being thrown around?

Cyrodiil was supposed to be the massive battle field where the three alliances have an all out brawl to take the fortresses and crown an emperor. Literally to my knowledge that was the goal, be highest scoring alliance and crown emperor. Imperial City was supposed to be a seamless part of the overall experience (at least that was what I always understood). Whatever happened Imperial City came much later and in my honest opinion is a completely separate and distinct experience. I like the changes that were made with the DB patch, but when I'm in Imp City I could care less about what is happening in Cyrodiil and vice versa. Not only that, but by design Imp City and Cyrodiil have absolutely no bearing on each other other than sharing overall populations. Was this the plan all along? Once again I find myself enjoying and caring about Cyrodiil more and am never in Imp City.

And it's great that the devs listen and implement what the majority would like to see, but where is the line drawn before the concept and feeling of what PvP in ESO was meant to be is watered down? Great that towns are capturable but will players actually care after a couple of weeks? Will players like it so much that towns are flipping left and right and no one cares to push the map for emperor? Is there a large enough PvP player base where all these new features are being used along with all the good old stuff?

Let's add flags at every outpost, every milegate, all the scroll temples, and let's make South High Rock capturable.

Edit: One more thing, I think race change is completely ludacris. What's the logic behind race change? Just because? Crown store item? If you want to play a different race create a new character.

Good. Hopefully it will be a fun addition. They may have to re-structure the towns to fit it though. Bruma especially.
