✭well, i didn't see a single reason to sub after they changed their subscription model (which was fine for me btw.).
There's only c*** in the crown store and otherwise no reason to give them a single coin.
Seriously, after all the c*** they released with every dlc (broken mechanics, bugs not fixed which were reported during pts, etc) / update i don't see a reason to shove them more money up their a****s.

✭✭✭✭✭I cancelled my sub when they announced Imperial City as a paid DLC.- Imperial City was supposed to be the final piece of ESO's PvP. By making it a paid DLC, it could not be an integrated part of that PvP experience.
- Imperial City was supposed to have access gated based on your alliance's performance in Cyrodiil. Because it was paid DLC, they couldn't implement gated access because they'd be shutting you out of something you'd paid for. (They did try it, but that didn't last long.)
- Imperial City was supposed to have an impact on the Campaign scoring and the gameplay in Cyrodiil. Because it was paid DLC, they couldn't make that connection because it would be something that also affected those players without the DLC (ie, being affected by things you have no control over, which is bad).
- Imperial City was supposed to have an involved District Control system which involved the Daedra as one of the interested parties, and to capture a district you had to enter small PvP-enabled Coldharbour dungeons. District Capture was eventually added, but in a severely reduced capacity which is just a repeat of the flag mechanics (and associated zerging tactics) seen at Cyrodiil resources.
- Imperial City was supposed to have 4 or 5 daily quests per district, and another 6 in the Sewers. That's around 30 repeatable quests. The questing that we ended up with is barely a shadow of what it could have been, and 6 dailies in total is not really enough to keep you going. (To be fair though, the story is pretty good. But the fact that you need a group for almost half of it is quite irritating.)

✭✭✭Cancelled mine this morning, although it's a six month cycle which renewed a couple of weeks ago so I have some time left to see if things change before losing ESO+ perks.
First reason: the shambles which is the cheat engine issue.
Second reason: @ZOS_MattFiror saying there are no hardcore ESO players. I know it was not his intent, but that's pretty damn insulting to the people like myself who have been here since the start.
Also just to show I'm not bluffing.

Am I missing something here?! I purchased the ESO premium/DLC bundle (before DB) for $14.95 (USC) and now in my second month, I was just automatically charged another $14.95. If you're being charged $14.95 monthly, which seems to be a reoccurring charge, then it is a subscription.. yeah?? Also,, for PS4 folks, you have to pay the monthly subscription to PSN, in order to be able to play online. That sounds about right. You already pay Mickysoft Gold membership, for being able to use multiplayer at all, if I remember that correct.
I am playing on PC and I won't subscribe on a game, that logs me out every 2-4 loading screens. This game is a typical Bethesda bug fest. I only pay once for this kind of games.
Additional this is more a single player game, than a MMO. You can see that, with their decision, how they solve the material gathering in the future, not understanding, that YOUR char, with which you are gathering mats, isn't important at all to the level of the material, neither is his crafting level. They see this clearly as a game, where you have only ONE char, and don't craft for other players or work together with others. iNSiPiD1✭✭✭I subbed on and off through the past year, and I would say that for me seeing them introduce the crafting bag really set off red flags. I think that type of content is core content, and should not be locked behind a monthly fee. It should be purchasable with Crowns.
I also don't agree with the Champion Point system in the long run, and I disagree with the way their taking the game by making everything the same level. Also, the game is just too easy.
I think ESO could have a lot going for it down the road, but I just don't agree with some of the recent decisions at all.0 -

Everything that has been discussed here is genuinely our feelings and thoughts on why the game is not worth the money anymore and a way Zenimax Online can get the feedback they decided to ignore when we cancel our subscriptions.
The forums exist for more than "nerf this, love that - x is bugged" threads and it is outrageous to see every game turn into this after a couple months. And yes I was lied to when they stated that there would be a roleplaying server. Such a great feature was one of the top reasons I was hyped and put a lot of interest into the game. This and the (complete)justice system.
ESO seems to exist for the sole purpose of hyping the TES community, and to deliver a hollow cake with a "no ETA but working on that" ticket tied to it. And don't get that Wrobel in another Live ESO, why invite a developer to state bluntly he is ignoring feedback entirely? And Kyle feels like is being punished by playing ESO and just makes it clearer when he does live. Stikato✭✭✭✭✭I stopped my sub when they announced B2P. I had enough 'loyalty' crowns to purchase IC, and that was the last money I spent. I played almost every day until TG, and stopped playing because I got tired of massive balance changes and skill tweaks every patch instead of more gradual and nuanced fixes over time.
I still enjoy reading the forums from time to time, and I do think about coming back occasionally. But, the above and other reasons keep me away:
Never lived up to the Elder Scrolls name. ES games were always about freedom of action. This is a thinly-concealed quest hub on rails design. The mobs hit like they have nerf weapons. There is zero sense of danger or death repercussions. If this game could have combined perhaps some GW2-style dynamic quests, some sensible open world PVP (Justice system, anyone?) and kept the mostly excellent active combat system, this game could have been so much more. Instead we have a sanitized world, every quest is the same (spoiler: the key to saving the town is always in the mysterious cave nearby) where you have to practically afk to die.
It is just impossible to ignore the fact that most of the quality of life aspects of this game (dev communication, regular balancing, bugs, cheating, lag, crashing) have been steadily declining for at least six months to well over a year. It is clear that ZOS is quite happy with this quality and is willing to put in only the bare minimum of money/effort into the game in order to continue to make DLC and crown store sales.
At this point, the only thing I can hope for is that I never have to see the colossal disappointment that would be the ESO version of Vvardenfell.Mordimus - Stam Sorc2 -

You can look at it slightly differently when it comes to Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood due to there size and lack of activities. Both DLC's base themselves around solo 10-15 hour gameplay that has no replay value so technically it's cheaper becoming an ESO Plus member for 1 month, completing the story and saving the crowns for a sale.1 -
