    Have you ever tried tanking? Have you seen the magicka cost of chains and range taunting? Have you seen the stamina cost of low-slashing and piercing? Tanking in PvE is a resource game, and we we have relatively small resources pools to begin with since we need health and we need both magicka and stamina pools. Reallocating green points into block hurts our utility costs. Those green points are useful for everyone, not just for DPS.

    Why range taunt gap close and use the cheap Melee taught, you don't need to use that much magic you choose to lean on magic to recover stamina. You can go max health and stamina recovery and be just fine.

    Low-slash? You get 25% of damage dealt as splash damage to two enemies near your target with Deep Slash weak on a tank or ultimate over 9 seconds with Heroic Slash why would you be using this more then once every 9 seconds for maximum ultimate generation.

    Not everyone is a stam tank man...

    What they need to do is blur the lines between the classes. Let's give everyone DK's chains… wait they sorta did that already. Ok how about this one, let's give everyone Sorc's damage shield… wait they already did that too. Hmm seems all that's left is cloak and rushed ceremony. Should get on that next. Dark exchange makes a good candidate for rushed ceremony, and it's morphs could mimic honor the dead. Then again that only covers sorc's so maybe we just change up equilibrium. As for cloak, hmm vampire could use some new skills. Could even make a stam morph for it. Also while we're adding stuff to vampire, how about a magicka gap closer with a stam morph.

    End rant, was I being sarcastic or serious? You decide.

    PS least you could do is move reduce break free cost to reduce blocking cost as that will at least mitigate the nerf to blocking, if only slightly.

    Critsurge is too strong in pvp, I had heals of 5k+ each second when it crit, Powersurge is too weak, I had 2.4k heals when it crit.

    Block based abilities should be in the heavy armor/ Lady (I think, not on a PC atm) tree. It's strange enough that these skills are found in a light armor tree, now you've moved them to an equally strange place. Why move it into medium armor? Let's further discourage proper tanking stat allocation and skills, said no one, ever (except at ZoS).

    I love this game, but if you're not careful ESO is going to end up like the dps-***-a-thon that is DCUO. I was in two instances yesterday where neither of the tanks even had a taunt slotted. VR 14-16s and not so leet that they could manage without a tank. Now I'm back to tanking on both toons, since the odds of success otherwise are grim.

    Continued marginalization and needless reordering of perks necessary to support roles never ends well--you just lose people playing those roles.

    Who needs tanks and healers when you can farm vet Wayrest Sewers with three all-around/DPS/minmaxed/onestat characters. And yes, I mean, farm. As in, we were completing the dungeon over and over extremely fast. There was no tank, there was no healer.

    Realy? It said that piece of Jewelry is additional but not guaranteed reward for leaderbord. Weapons are still guaranteed for this type of reward.
    Also weapons are not guaranteed on live - in my second vMSA run I got piece of armor. I got weapon only in third run.
    And at some stages there wasn't set items. In 2.4.x we can get set armor items after each arena stage.
    And at final stage we can get set armor piece or maelstrom weapon - it is unchanged.
    I think, you just misunderstood this patch note.

I love the increase shield armor passive this tree provides so what am I going to put it in? Spell resistance? Like seriously please change this back to block reduction.

    Good for PvP but you lose so much in PvE: this really begins to sound like a common theme. Please keep us PvEers in mind, ZOS!

    It is odd that all content they are releasing is primarily PvE, but they always balance skills based on PvP. Strange.

    I totally agree they should really stop releasing PVE content and focus on PVP.

    I totally agree they should really stop releasing PVE content and focus on PVP.

    The thing is that PvPers will never ever be happy though, so focusing on PvP is a waste of time when it comes to balancing most of the time, as people will always find an exploit and then abuse it so that the skill gets nerfed into the ground.

    No, I mean it exactly like I'm saying it, but I see how it can be confusing. Let me split it:

    - It's unacceptable that a run still doesn't guarantee a Maelstrom weapon.
    - The leaderboard does guarantee a Maelstrom weapon, but the variety of weapons and different traits (and even more traits in 2.4.X) makes it as good as useless when it comes to getting a specific weapon.
    - When people like me have run the arena hundreds of times and haven't gotten a single one of the four weapons they're going for (Sharpened Maul, Sharpened Bow, Precise Resto, Sharpened Inferno), it's unacceptable.
    - The sets are useless, and I have probably already deconstructed 3 - 4 perfect sets of all of them by now, since one each is enough.

    Not quite correct. Base value for Powersurge is ~2k (1980 tooltip), which can be increased with champ points related to healing. This heal can also crit.

    Crit Surge has a base value of ~3k. I assume it can also be improved with CPs and can crit too

    You must not be a sorc. The shield thing I was not happy with but not game ending. The giving all other classes a hardend ward just pissed me off but the nerfing of our only viable self heal is just stupid. If it's a ltp issue you might need to ltp on a sorc because your statement is a head scratcher just like ZOS's class balance. I have mained a sorc since PC launch and they just made me reroll a new main for at least the next quarter.

    Poisons are way too strong and will kill the rest of what little small group pvp was viable in PvP. It's all about who has more numbers now. 60% cost increase? How about 5% if you want to do an effect like that.

    I've stuck with the game for over a year now with nerfs, nerfs, and nerfs for people who play outnumbered. This poison change will simply make it impossible to get any enjoyment out of small group PvP.
    Enjoy your time being unable to do anything because gap closer snared, regularly snared, rooted, immobilized and out of resources.

    Hi Gina, just checked this on the PTS and there are no Aspect stones in these crates, only essence and potency. There is also no rubedite ingots, rubedo leather, or ancestor silk in the crafters chests.

    They are there. You must do a "Take All" to get them because the number of items is so large that it doesn't show in the container's list even if you scroll. So it's really just a UI bug (or UI limitation).

    @Aleraon Press "Take All". The UI can't display everything because there's WAY too much in those boxes for all of it to be there. It'll be in your crafting bag when you take it.

    (Speaking here specifically aboot the hurricane movement speed, power extraction poison damage, templar ritual ability removing 5 bad effects again, and MoL drop buff)

    Only thing I'm slightly worried aboot, as are all tanks, is Anything to do with cost increase. Time will tell if the change to the champ system hurts like I fear it will...but at least we can count on permarollers having less defenses when you actually hit (I hope).

    Just came of the PTS... My dps characters were melting everything in sight, including my sorc (PVE). My STAMINA tank ran out of stamina in 5 to 7 hits (using normal tanking skills like taunt/block/buff/self heal+litlle dps)...

    Please revert the CP change Zenimax, or no one will play tank anymore. It will just be 3 dps + healer or 4 dps with self healing skills in dungeons. And it's almost like that right now even on live server.

    Tanks will be back to boring taunt, hold block, watch green bar closely and do no buffs/dps at all. I thought you wanted to make it more interesting instead of less?

    I think in PvP the entire thing should be about sustain and and if in PvP only two or three poisons are really valuable the better it is...

    ATM high DMG ist the worst especially with NB... now at least we will try to make more builds around sustain

    Now ZOS just remove AOE caps ant then it is funny again when you see a stupid Zerg running into you

    I've been crafting some new gear with the precise traits for testing on the PTS and does it appear something looks very very wrong:

    It happened as soon as I applied the Thief Mundus stone with 7 pieces of divines on the armour, is this working as intended? :smiley:
