Check it out! I'm excited for several of the things he listed in this interview, specifically:
    • new dwemer, magic based siege weapon
    • captureable towns in Cyrodiil
    • further confirmation of dueling and battlegrounds coming

    http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/821/feature/10827/page/1

They should stop adding content and simply fix the performance issues, bugs and exploits. All these changes are worthless when the game isn't playable.
Everything you just posted is pure BS. In fact, as you may note in the PvP section of this forum, myself and several others have just commented on recent improvements to Cyrodiil lag. And they do fix exploits. Maybe not as fast or as specific as you would like but it is a definitive fact that they do. Do yourself a favor and get educated.

    Too slow and not enough.

Haven't seen any PVP exploit been fixed in reasonable time.

If you refer to performance in PTS, haven't seen great enhancements. If you are referring on live performance, it's still as bad as always (except you're running on a death campaign where no opponents are around).

I'm referring to live. Like I said, read the thread where multiple other users have noted great performances on live very recently. And they do fix PvP exploits in reasonable time, just because certain ones don't get fixed rto your liking doesn't mean that they don't do it.

I had load screen issues for a long time. Finally had given up and started playing SWTOR again. Then the just magically cleared up and I was able to play again. As far as my end nothing changed. They never even understood my issue at tech support. So I know they didnt fix it since they never understood what the problem was.

Which is all the more reason to point towards the user end rather than their end since you know they didn't fix anything. At the very least a recognition that the issue was not on their end. I honestly have never had those load screens. It's definitely not a problem that affects everyone.

Just because it doesnt affect everyone means nothing. Not all issues will affect all people. To say its 100% user end when this happens is kind of crazy. I changed nothing yet it cleared up. I send in a ticket about load screens and they reply with stuff about my password. They thought it was a login problem because I said I cant play I guess. Anyways after multiple attempts at trying to get them to understand the problem I finally gave up.

Now maybe they fixed something globally to solve it but I dont see how it could have been my end. I changed nothing on my end yet now it works.

No but it does mean that the issue could very well be on your end and therefore nothing they could do to fix it would work, that was my point. If you didn't change anything and they didn't change anything, who can say where the fault lies?

How do you know they didnt change anything? I doubt they did because of ticket alone but a lot of people had those issues and now they dont.

It could have been with the recent move to DX11. I'm saying it obviously wasn't something in the patch notes or we would have known about it. Anyway, this entire point has nothing at all to do with the thread. Just be happy it's fixed.

Feel free to post any links to those threads you refer. I wonder on which campaigns those people are playing and how dead these campaigns are.

I'm currently playing almost every day PVP in Cyrodiil. Yet, haven't had a single day without lag, weapon swap issues and skills that aren't working at all. Same applies to everyone in my guild and we aren't even playing on the most populate campaign as it is simply unplayable there at prime time (well, most of the time anyway).

So i really wonder where those threads are and who makes those claims.

Regarding exploit fixing: I never said they don't fix exploits. It only takes ages... Furthermore, if you report exploiters, nothing is happening in general (and we are taking about exploits here and not some weird "I got one shotted" so he must be cheating stuff).

Again, that's your opinion if it's too slow and not fast enough. Some may agree, others are free to disagree. The point is they still make an effort which was what I was saying.

Thank you for the in depth update in that interview. It helps to give people hope that Cyrodil will be an enjoyable experience again. I look forward to all of the new changes and Dwemer Siege weapons. Since this is a Dwemer Siege weapon and an actual "Style" that's not considered an Alliance, will this be a craftable siege weapon? I would so loooooove that....

As a maxed crafter who can currently make anything, any style and in any trait in the game, it would be nice if when new features like these are added that they are craftable instead of AP cost. I understand the basis behind the current siege since only those alliances can use the ones bough in their keeps but any actual Styled Siege shouldn't require that.

Just as a thought, it could take say 200-1000 Ruby Ash and 200-1000 ingots to make the siege weapons. This would require parts from both woodworking and blacksmithing that could be added relatively easily.
I would love this make Mercenary style Siege would be awesome.

BW: Obviously we are committed to keep working on client and server performance and getting Cyrodiil running as optimally as possible. In the Dark Brotherhood update, we’re taking some good steps towards that, and we’ll keep at it until all the performance issues are addressed. In addition to optimizations, we are constantly nailing down exploits and abilities that bypass systems and structures, so we’re always on the lookout to make sure Cyrodiil is a fair play environment.

Are people still believing this 1.5 years later?

They have made efforts towards improving Cyrodiil and the game overall with every update. I've been here since launch and even though there have been rough patches, the overall quality of the game has certainly gone up since then.

No they haven't. Maybe this one thing alleviates the FPS issue. Great.

Let's work on that lag we've been having for 2 years.

you know there haven't been such performance issues in the early days? if you were here since launch you definitely would know that. so no, the overall quality hasn't gone up since then.

regarding the thread you posted: it somehow feels like you're the one mostly posting that it became better. anyway, it really isn't. not noticeable, even if you get 2-3 fps more, it is unreasonably low (still less than 20 in huge battles) and less then it should be to run fluently. The lag is completely the same.

But yes, of course, they "work on it". and with that speed you'll get the bugs fixed and a working game in about 10 years. but hey, i mean, at least they're working on it, right?

Just out of curiousity - how long for (less lag I mean) . Haven't done a lot of PvP the last few days.

Actually pre 1.6 FPS and lag was way worse, as noted by multiple other users. So yes, the quality has gone up since then.

Regarding the thread I posted, I actually only made a single post with comments saying it became better. Read the coments from several other people instead of going on about something of which you have no idea.

yes, right. 10-15fps and 999+ ping just right before in game, even outside prime time. Guess that must have been my imagination as the game has now improved, right? ;) sorry, but this is just ridiculous.

besides there are only a hand full of posts after the comment in the thread you posted, they are mostly equally distributed and not representative at all.

And no, the game isn't getting any better since launch. Keep on telling this to yourself, one day you might even believe it yourself. ;)

Is this game open BETA? :) I have a strange feeling after 2 years of lag packet losses and outrageous exploits! Is that an excuse? Should we feel sorry for our "bad luck" or someone cursed cyro? Ahh common boys.... its only getting worst after every other DLC! In 2 years never got better

    Delusional thinking for lag

The only fix the last patch put in was the FPS getting stuck.

I just wish we'd stop pushing them to talk about Cyrodiil every god damn time. There are other things in the game and other isssues that need to be addressed and acknowledged by ZOS. Im all for them keeping us up to date on Cyrodiil. But honestly it does not need to be a bi-weekly update.

It used to be 'running as optimally as possible' but they did something and broke it. In 1.5 years they have not been able to fix the problem they created. I doubt cyrodil performance will ever recover to be completely honest.

You forget that this game is on Xbox and Ps?? More people play this on console than pc. Let's face it this game feels and plays like it was made for the console. I love playing this on my ps 4.

The only thing that changed is that the performance went way worse and they are finally saying "as optimally as possible" that means it's fubar.
Exploits on abilities are reported on the very first day they arrive on pts and aren't fixed for years.

Mr. Wheeler, u can't fix Cyrodil, that we know. But u can create something else or put effort into imperial city pvp but what you gave us for IC was something i could come up with after 2 seconds of thinking and after that i'd regret it.
People will lose interest as soon as they got their venom set. There are no longterm rewards in the sewers and thats what killed it in the first place.

But one thing i have to thank you for.: No-CP campaign. You should learn from that, that the cp system was the biggest fail there is. But the sheep seem to like it.
