    BW: Obviously we are committed to keep working on client and server performance and getting Cyrodiil running as optimally as possible. In the Dark Brotherhood update, we’re taking some good steps towards that, and we’ll keep at it until all the performance issues are addressed. In addition to optimizations, we are constantly nailing down exploits and abilities that bypass systems and structures, so we’re always on the lookout to make sure Cyrodiil is a fair play environment.

    Sigh. Wish this was more definitive.

    They could crack down a little more on cheaters while they are fixing said exploit. Right now there isnt much punishment if you get caught.

    I honestly have never had a 5 minute load screen... maybe that's user/client/hardware specific? As far as latency improving, all I can see is this: I personally noticed a huge improvement while on Trueflame during peak hours last night, full campaign with huge battles was better than it ever has been before. And I wasn't the only person saying that, there's a thread in the Cyrodil/PvP section of the forum that Wheeler himself even replied to where you can read it. So to me, I'd say yes it has improved.

    I had load screen issues for a long time. Finally had given up and started playing SWTOR again. Then the just magically cleared up and I was able to play again. As far as my end nothing changed. They never even understood my issue at tech support. So I know they didnt fix it since they never understood what the problem was.

    still get the load screens in pledges and trials.which I don't get,I can be in deshaan during prime time and everyone's spamming skills and I get zero lag.as soon as I join a group,everything goes to ***.

They never even understood my issue at tech support. So I know they didnt fix it since they never understood what the problem was.

    Which is all the more reason to point towards the user end rather than their end since you know they didn't fix anything. At the very least a recognition that the issue was not on their end. I honestly have never had those load screens. It's definitely not a problem that affects everyone.

    coming from a guild leader leading a full pvp guild i can tell you infinite loading screens are getting worse, and the bugs associated with them are becoming more common like being unable to log back into the char you crashed on in cyro for hours at a time. I lose atleast 1/4 of my raid every time we enter or leave southern highrock, and fps is still dropping and never recovering. Im terified of any more changes they make to cyro, it may actually make things worse than they already are

    That BW quote was a downright lie, nothing more, nothing less. They will never fix lag because they arent even trying to, that must be obvious to all by now, and that "nailing exploits" made me lol, it takes them half a year to nail gamebreaking exploits like multiple mundus stones and many others... So yea, just words, not even small children belive any more.

    Everything you just posted is pure BS. In fact, as you may note in the PvP section of this forum, myself and several others have just commented on recent improvements to Cyrodiil lag. And they do fix exploits. Maybe not as fast or as specific as you would like but it is a definitive fact that they do. Do yourself a favor and get educated.

    Every time I feel like it has improved, I get slapped in the face with one of those 5 minute load screens.

    Latency seems to be decent sometimes and worse others. So is it really Improving? I can't really tell.

    Still waiting for them to fix the emperor exploiting.

    I don't mind the loading screens gives me time read chat explain what's going on what gear I'm running also I can take a bathroom break make me a drink go to Chick-fil-A etc lol

    Okay, just read it, and it sounds good. I am looking forward to these changes. I would like that if IC continues being part of the alliance population, then they should make the IC districts part of the campaign score.

    Opposite problem here....ping doesn't go over 150, even in massive battles. However, die and I have to wait 5-10 mins to reload

    They should stop adding content and simply fix the performance issues, bugs and exploits. All these changes are worthless when the game isn't playable.

    Too slow and not enough.

    Haven't seen any PVP exploit been fixed in reasonable time.

    If you refer to performance in PTS, haven't seen great enhancements. If you are referring on live performance, it's still as bad as always (except you're running on a death campaign where no opponents are around).

    BW: In the Dark Brotherhood update, Imperial City as a whole has been tuned for smaller groups and solo players. We’ve significantly changed the sweepers to be tailored for a good group of 4 players as opposed to their prior balance point of 12 players or more. This, along with the basepop changes and Tel Var bonuses from capturing Districts, will make the Imperial City Districts more appealing for small groups and solo players.

    Wait wait... what basepop changes?

    [edit] ah he probably means the mob respawn rate, not player population :)

    Just because it doesnt affect everyone means nothing. Not all issues will affect all people. To say its 100% user end when this happens is kind of crazy. I changed nothing yet it cleared up. I send in a ticket about load screens and they reply with stuff about my password. They thought it was a login problem because I said I cant play I guess. Anyways after multiple attempts at trying to get them to understand the problem I finally gave up.

    Now maybe they fixed something globally to solve it but I dont see how it could have been my end. I changed nothing on my end yet now it works.

    That's unlikely to happen. These problems don't affect the casual rpg players that the games has been retargeted at. Based on previous comments these seem to be the player majority and probably generate the most crown store revenue too. Content, housing and barber shop will take priority.

    Thank you for the in depth update in that interview. It helps to give people hope that Cyrodil will be an enjoyable experience again. I look forward to all of the new changes and Dwemer Siege weapons. Since this is a Dwemer Siege weapon and an actual "Style" that's not considered an Alliance, will this be a craftable siege weapon? I would so loooooove that....

    As a maxed crafter who can currently make anything, any style and in any trait in the game, it would be nice if when new features like these are added that they are craftable instead of AP cost. I understand the basis behind the current siege since only those alliances can use the ones bough in their keeps but any actual Styled Siege shouldn't require that.

    Just as a thought, it could take say 200-1000 Ruby Ash and 200-1000 ingots to make the siege weapons. This would require parts from both woodworking and blacksmithing that could be added relatively easily.

    No but it does mean that the issue could very well be on your end and therefore nothing they could do to fix it would work, that was my point. If you didn't change anything and they didn't change anything, who can say where the fault lies?
