A Sorc or DK can easily stomp a Templar's ass if they really wanted to, and more over in PvE a Templar is a healer and barely a tank, and laughable DPS due to elitism.

Don't bring that crap to me ever again, using only one half of the game's content to say one class was amazing.
Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!

You know what would be hilarious? What if Eclipse blocked Bolt Escape, just imagine the rage hahaha. Oh dear, I dread reading the upcoming 1.6.1 patch notes and see the impending nerf to Radiant Destruction, by the time this patch goes live, Templars will be begging ZoS to give them back Blinding Light.

And that's exactly what worries me. You have these uber powerful Nightblades and dragonknights wrecking *** constantly and barely get a nerf if ever, and in some cases get buffs, whereas poor little templars and sorcs are constantly getting *** on because people wine and *** about not being able to roflstomp somebody in PvP and be forced to actually think on how to best somebody.

Allegedly not, but don't fret, block casting is still around.

I can't find anything on it in the patch notes or weapon buffs, do they still stack?

Block casting dies with 1.6. Stamina drains super fast when blocking in PTS. Iv witnessed players with SHIELDS lose block quickly.(so unless it is changed in the following month, this is what 1.6 block casting will be like)

Damage shield spam/stack will become the new norm in PvP. (If 1.6 goes live the way it is)

    If this happens PvP dies:(

    hopefully that does not happen.

Remember in all those posts where I told ya if Block Casting is removed people will switch to shield spam..

    Yea....

    feel like a big man?

Another undocumented change @ZOS_GinaBruno‌. When inventory is full, loot menu does not stay open from anything including chests after I clean out some inventory so I can pick up the loot. Was this reversion from live intentional?

I did also file a bug report.
  • tino.antoninieb17_ESO
So excited to see this giant list of awesome changes. The free-to-play announcement had me a bit discouraged, but this list has overwhelmingly redeemed my faith in ESO.
    MARK TARGET

This ability now grants the Major Breach and Major Fracture buffs.
Removed the penalty from this ability.
This ability can now be cast on any target.
Reduced the cost of this ability by approximately 50%, and reduced the duration to 20 seconds.

O.M.G. !!! Finally this ability will be useful. I am beside myself with joy!
    HASTE

This ability has been removed, and replaced by the new ability Grim Focus.

O.M.G. !!! Another useless ability made useful. I am beside myself with elation!
    DUAL WEILD - Sparks

This ability has been removed, and replaced with a new ability: Blade Cloak.

O.M.G. !!! Another useless ability made useful!!! Words fail to describe the happiness welling up inside me.

Seems the devs may be paying attention to some of our feedback after all. Thank you so much!!!

Mark target is now having less benefits than before
Haste was much more usefull than its replacement.

Can we get haste back... the assasins-will skill is very dissapointing. 5-6k dmg but it's not worth using all basic attacks 8x for that long to proc a skill that might not even be available during the fight is useless. Plus 5-6k dmg isnt that much, with the new numbers now. Most people would rather have 30% atk speed any day vs this. Now there is zero speed atk boost for nightblades, isn't a rouge suppose to be fast instead of pulling magical bows out of their who knows where. This change is defintely for the worse and is a dissapointment that seems unecessary.

Speak for yourself. Attack speed was practically useless, even with close range melee weapons. Even at 5-6k damage, the new skill sounds much better. You don't have to just sit there spamming light attacks, you're more likely to get to 8 attacks by weaving light attacks in before your regular skills. Once the skill is ready to use, it doesn't really matter if you even have a chance to use it during that particular fight because you can just save it as part of your opener for your next fight, potentially increasing your burst damage a good deal.

Also, is the skill instant? I'm hoping yes, because that would make it even that much more useful as either part of a finishing rotation or as part of an initial burst attack.

:) Mate it seems that u know very little about making damage with melee weapons on NB. I suggest you that next time check facts before commenting.

I heard somebody mention something on the pts while I was in Belkarth about every tick of a staff heavy attack count as a light/heavy for that grim focus thing. Perhaps maybe that skill might be better suited for a caster nightblade?

There might be a good reason why Vampires should get less hurt by fire. I just don't get it and asking why.

The answer that vampires takes big damage from fire isn't an answer. It's called balance.

Radiant Destruction is hitting for upwards of 14k in Cyrodiil. That means 5 seconds is long enough to kill anyone but a tank, just by pressing the same button twice.

    SERIOUS nerf needed.

Biting Jabs also should have the 60% increase reverted, as its also (but not equally) OP

Just keep it as it is, it is about bloody time Templars got some TLC.

Nope, it'll be made useless after next week's patch.

Don't say that ***, especially what with other classes are capable of doing and have done previously in both PvE and PvP. I so do not want to hear this bully horseshit about Templars being overpowered.

What it is my friends and enemies, is nobody is used to Templars being a genuine Kill-Threat in PvP and not being shoehorned into one of two roles in PvE, and thus they freak out without realizing that's what they looked like for 8 months now.

I repeat yet again, I do not want to hear this idiocy about Templars being too strong.

Because we still have to go about doing what we do in a very specific way, unlike Dragonknights and Nightblades.

If anybody gets to call *** on us, it's anybody who isn't a Pet based Sorcerer, since they are not literally in the same boat that we were in not too long ago.

In what world do you believe Templars are somehow weak on Live servers right now in PvP?

Templars are incredibly dangerous on Live right now. in fact they're probably the best if not second best duel class in the game.

I was wondering the same thing? All classes get the same mechanics that effects all class skills. As a DK, I can't stack buffs to hell anymore. I can use any buff I want but have to time them and choose which skill at what time.

Even if this "weakens me", it gives me more ways to improve my game play by thinking and not just smash buttons.

Why are templars "weaker" in 1.6 compared to the other 3 classes?

So far I see 1.6 to give the player more power then classes.

    Resto staff question
Can you still spam healing circle and it "stacks", or will the heal count as a major buff?

Vampires take extra damage from fire.
Werewolves take extra damage from poison.
I'll consider it balanced when you are just as likely to take damage from poison as you are from fire.

I like 1.6 so far, i think the champion system passives need some love, especially the thief ones, and also think the DK are in need of some mobility, for example the new chain add that make go to the target when the target cant go to you, make a morph makening always go to the target, not all of us want to play as a tank with the DK and dragon leap is not very dependable to be our "move" and i like to play with DW so no "move" possibilities form my wp neither =(.

Anyway thats my two cents, i love ESO and ZOS keep makening us smile =)

The reasons consist of fire being rather omnipresent in PvE (compare the amount of fire-themed bosses to the ones dealing frost damage). And the fact that the devs actually tried out PvEing with vampires and found out fire-damage bosses tend to oneshot them, which does not make for very fun gameplay. :)

Exerpt from Champion System Q&A on Tamriel foundry:

Q: "Have you done anything with Drain Essence so it’s usable in trials?"
EW: " Yeah, I don’t know much work we’ve done with that in general, but there are other things I would like to work on with vampires. Like that and the 50% more fire damage is a little too much. In some of our tests, when we fight bosses with fire damage, they generally one-shot people, and so I would like to look at, in general, reducing that vulnerability and then looking at other abilities so that they are not too powerful afterwards."

Are you guys concerned at all about the serious amount of nerfs your placing on vr14 folks who have put serious time and effort into your game ? All the end game armor is useless now...and your expecting us to put time into a new leveling system with no new content . I'm honestly under the impression you don't care about us....and I'm getting the same feeling from alot of the community.

My sorcerer-playing friends are abandoning them for other classes. I don't want to, but the prospects look pretty dismal in solo and group. Pets don't help solo much and will get me kicked out of good groups. What tank wants someone's pet pulling aggro?

Please just let some developer who plays a sorcerer ingame (in more than just pvp) work with the class a bit.
