    People are complaining about not being able to play the game they paid for, people are also complaining about being charged 15 bucks when the screen clearly says 0.00. I mean that seams pretty legit right?

    I think some people subbed, didn't have a problem with the way it works and don't see what all the fuss is about.

    Others do understand, but are trying to calm us down and stop what is a very very very good game, getting bad mouthed and bad rep due to a few very stupid and very wrong decisions by a department that probably hasn't even played the game yet alone worked on if.

    We also have the culture issue, in the US, you are probably looked at like you are mad if you don't have a credit card and pre loaded visa cards are easily available from anywhere.

    Whereas in most, if not all of Europe, preloaded visa cards don't exist in the same way. There are a few companies that let you have a similar thing in the UK, but it can take up to 28 days to receive your card and is not free to use. And in some EU countries, debt is scorned on culturally hence credit cards are rare. And the way debit cards work in some countries mean they will get a charge for a pre authorization.

    Then there's the different consumer laws, EU law protects consumers 100000 better than US law does. Which is why many people in the EU are not used to this sort of thing, to be told 0.00 is coming out but a higher amount is really being pre authorized, no matter for how long, simply won't be acceptable to most EU residents and as many have pointed out, isn't actually legal in the EU

    Hence you get people wondering what others are complaining about.

    That is the main confusion I think.

    Then you have those from EU and the US that don't bother reading what actual problems people have or why they are complaining, as soon as they see such a thread they post a non constructive thread moaning about the moaners, but there hasn't been many in this thread I don't think I think it's the cultural issue for most that seem like this.

    For me, I can see a mile away how this is the wrong way to do it, the backlash it was obviously going to cause, and that along with the lack of input from Zenimax is what I find so frustrating, I love this game, it's as though a few people at zenimax are going out of their way to try and get themselves bad rep and I can't understand why.

    Learning to ride a bike the first time is a knee injuring thing.When they have learned to keep thier balance it will be better I'm sure.Mass producing game cds is alot different from dealing with a multitude of live,sometimes angry people.

    This saddened me because I was expecting I'd be asked for a payment option after I got my 30 days free. My PayPal account refused to confirm and above that, I was going to get the prepaid cards for it instead, which as far as I know, have yet to be released in retail stores.

    I'm having real trouble paying my Account for ESO i purchased my Standard Edition and had no idea my Subscription was due to use my 30 free days of play time, after sunday i can no longer play and i will not be paid to get a Game time Card or Mastercard Gift Card until Wednesday.

    I cannot add my Game code and i do not own a Credit Card the other option do not seem to be for Australia and still need a Credit Card anyway?

    So apparently, I'm hearing from a friend that Zenimax is doing this to prevent gold farmers from using fake credit cards to subscribe....

    Well i just Rang EB Games and they told me i can get a Refund if i'm not happy and that its no problem. (apparently a lot of others have too so the staff person said.)

    So if this last Support ticket gets ignored its good bye ESO

    Did it today with Paypal and no issues. Paypal was charged and instantly the charge was cancelled. Nothing came out of my bank account and no hold was placed.

    This does not mean I agree with ZM authorizing the full 14.99 with CC in the US, EU or anywhere, .01 to 1.00 dollar would have sufficed.

    I like this game...I mean I really do, however (and I'm serious) I JUST had my card disabled due to some fraudulent charges against my account and I shut it all down, and am in the process of getting a new card mailed to me (happened on the 4th). It's going to take about 2 weeks to get my new card due to the fact I live in Tinytown USA, and bank at Tinytown Bank. Am I going to be comped for the down time I'm going to be experiencing? I don't do Paypal, I don't do pre-paid cards. I bought a game that was 79.99, and now I don't get my free time b/c basically there is no free time, I'm going t be charged the full amount? How is this right in any shape/way/form?
