My box is in the mail, even though I ordered it months ago, and will not arrive till Tuesday. I have no options. Without a code I am ***.     How are they to know if you actually paid for your preorder or not? You know lots of people wanted CE boxes and were unable to buy them. You should consider yourself lucky you got one.

    I got mine from there web site so it is payed for in full. So thy know you payed for it.

    If you bought it from Zenimax then whats the problem? Your acct is ready to go. We are talking about people who preordered the physical edition.

    It didn't say that on the box I got when I pre-ordered the game. Only on the one I got when I picked it up on release day.

    That's because this change was made after release. If you look at the support article they were still saying you have access to full game time of 30 days before you have to set up the subscription. This was their stance until probably late 4/3/14 (there's a post that day saying retail copies do NOT have to put in subscription information until the 30 days are up). You will also notice their language changes to terms like "customer" instead of "player". I doubt the developers have any control over what's happening now. That's probably why Zinemax is quiet, because they aren't there. Whatever marketing branch is doing this, it's gross and disgusting.

    That is what im talking about. We are bared from logging in tell we set up a plan and I dont have a c-card (bank card) or a prepayed card to play a game that come with 30 day free.

    I currently have like, 10 bucks in my bank account, no credit card, got this game as a gift, took 3 days to download it because of my crappy internet, & I don't even get to play on my "30-days free" because I don't have FIFTEEN FREAKING DOLLARS? This is insanity.

    This all seems very sketchy if you ask me.

    BECAUSE I ALREADY PUT IN MY PRE-ORDER CODE! It was emailed during the beta. That is how i got my 5 days early access, the horse, the vanity pet, etc. They have already given me these things. Clearly I have already paid them, A LOT OF MONEY. What I don't have is the full game access code that comes in the box, so now I can't play anymore. This is bs, no two ways about it.

    Perhaps they are consulting lawyers atm and then place anyone they can find in the support help. Pretty sure the support guy i got tried to buy some time for the real support guys. He kept throwing FAQ stuff at me since the last 5 hours before putting me to the "next level of customer support" and that was after i asked a refund or i reported for theft. 50 mins later, no replies from that so called next level customer support.

    You dont have to pay upfront for preorders at a lot of places. Gamestop for example didnt charge me until it shipped.

    You will not be charged until the free 30 days is up. Everyone is required to have a CC or something on their account. It says it right on the preorder boxes, the website you preordered from and te Zenimax website.

    I'm a bit frustrated... I was all excited to start the free 30 days but after reading this I'm scared to putting in any billing info, especially since I was going to get the 180 days but don't have the cash in there atm.

    The way I see it is this: I bought the game that came with INCLUDED 30 days FREE game time. It does say that a payment method is required at subscription, but NO WHERE does it say I have to set up a sub to get my 30 days FREE. I know for a fact that Bliz NEVER required me to enter my cc info in order to get the 30 days that came with any of my WoW expansions. Name, address, etc., but not a cc card needed until my 30 FREE days ran out and I HAD to set up a sub to keep my account open.
    Casual ESO player since beta began. Played all the console games except for Morrowind.

    Well so much for that. Like everyone has said, they are extremely nice on the phone. Unfortunately for me there is nothing that can be done except have my name sent to his supervisor to get checked. What I think he failed to say is that it is going to take a long time for him to get back to me.

    The Dev did not do this the corporation did this not the studios. So the ones that made the game are not the one who are doing this the Zenimax Online Corporation are the ones pulling the strings now.

    Generally, when companies talk to merchant services, they generally care about their point-of-access features, time service and percentage fees. They RARELY get into the technical aspects of how the process is actually transacted.

    Only people that will even begin to discuss transactional reservation are those that have been burned by it in the past. Many companies do this and you NEVER notice it, because you buy in the same step.

    I hope as not to offend here but I stopped reading after you asked a question without proper punctuation, and went on to exclaim your 'leadership' in a 'Fortune 100' company. I think you exemplify what it means to be in the top tier of lucrative business. By that I mean, bad English and grammar, lack of comprehension to society and humanity as a whole, and an overall subliminal 'damage reduction' approach to matters of 'business.' Forgive me here, but I think you may be the embodiment of everything I NEVER would allow myself to be. P.S. thanks for your part in the amazing global climate conditions.

    I ordered this game on 1/30. That gave the re-seller plenty of time to figure out how to get the game to my door, don't you think? I did nothing wrong and now I am being penalized. Perhaps the re-seller messed up and didn't ship in time. Perhaps Zenimax did not get the product released to re-sellers in time. I don't know and I don't care. I was promised that if I payed $100 I would get to play a game. The money has been taken from my account and I am out in the cold. Zenimax can easily fix the situation buy extending the grace period to a week.

    As a long time MMORPG fan, I've never run into this problem. They've never asked me to put in a credit card before the 30 days was up, and the keycode and product purchase was enough for them to "verify" things.

    Also, because I don't have a credit card and have to use time cards (Which I don't have the money for yet...I was relying on those 30 free days) I am considering just quitting. What other nonsense practices will you pull off in the future? How else will you screw over your fans?

    I was really loving this game, Zenimax. Now it looks like It's the wiser decision to quit.

    I agree that guy was about as clueless as they come and if he was a "leader" it is a team leader in the factory. He is the guy running around telling everyone they have to work late so the bosses do not have to get off there rump.

    Zenimax did nothing wrong either. They sent the boxes to the reseller. I knew if I wanted it before early access ended I better pay for overnight shipping because the 4th was a Friday.

    Edit: My main problem is the fact New Zealand is being charged in EUROs for a sub instead of AUD like the purchase price
    OOOhhh...that is an issue. There is a wide gap between 80 AUD and 80 EUR. Awful *** poor exchange rate there...lol
