    Exactly my thought, i was like wtf why?!. Im not getting a loan from you? i allready payed for the 30 days, you didnt lend me it?...

    but i guess they will learn the hard way.. i give them 6 months, then its a F2P like everyother fail company that tried with an MMO.

    Just because I have funds today doesn't mean I will in thirty days. Again its bunk and just another way to fleece another month from us since you can't unsubscribe within the initial thirty day period since when it is activated it starts with 29 days left. Even if you do unsubscribe they will still charge you for next month. The only real way around that would be to purchase a game card...oh wait that's two months also...

    this is a lame way of doing thing, yes i got charge as well ( good thing i had more than enough to cover ) and it annoyed me, i am not saying i will cancel my account for but i was going to buy a horse from the store but not anymore.

    i hope that taking peoples money upfront was worth the hassle Zenimax...

    Ok so because your system had an issue with my correct billing address i cant play at all. even tho i bought 2 copies of the game and was willing to place my CC on file. Well i have just about had it. i was unable to play during the early access due to the launcher issue and now i cant play because your billing system is flawed somehow. bad part is when i did get to play i really liked the game.

    seems the only ones who dont know it are the mods in here who keep telling everyone it gets reversed within minutes.
    this is untrue in a lot of cases.
    people need to be aware and the mods need to stop misinforming people.

    This post is now getting out of hand. Yes, people are still angry but that's not what this forum is for. This is for getting things sorted so here goes.

    What to do
    • Firstly, go to "help.elderscrollsonline.com"
    • Click the Phone button underneath Ask For Help
    • Fill out the form, with your details and what problem you are having. (Even if you just put a . in the description, they will phone you back)
    • Remember that there are probably many people waiting for phone calls, so be patient and don't ask for a phone call before you have to do anything important.

    Now, some of you may say "Oh, i asked for a phone call and waited hours" or "What's the point"
    Please don't

    To keep this thread from getting any bigger, please calm down and follow those steps. Keep in mind that there are probably offices in different places phoning through with support, so one person's wait time may differ from yours due to geographical location.
    Just keep calm and ask them to manually add the 30 days with your code.

    All i asked was that I provide him my code, and he put on 30 days for me. The nice man on the end of the phone did just that, and told me to get a subscription when i could. None of this "29 days remaining" rubbish. I had 30 days, and no subscription.

    Umm....I'm calling bull. I've had my verification charge hit the bank AND be dropped already. I can now unsub any time I want and not be charged for the first month.

    I'm not going to, however....because I came in with the intent of actually subbing and playing the game for as long as it stays sub only.

    Happened that way for me. Verification hit the bank and was gone in the same day. I'd blame your bank, not Zenimax.

    I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
    Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

    Call it what you want, it's stated numerous times In their various policies. You have to give thirty days notice to unsubscribe. If that is not true then they need to remove or reword it.

    And not everyone has an extra $15 dollars in their bank account to even do the preauthorization sub. Some people have bills and other important things that need to be taken care of.

    I personally live from paycheck to paycheck and don't have an extra $15 dollars laying around to spend, regardless if it's going to be reimbursed or not. There is absolutely no legitiment reason that they need to verify whether or not I have $15 dollars. That is none of their business.

    Even worse, I can't find any Elder Scrolls time cards in any store and if I did that would mean I'd have to spend $30 just to unlock the thirty days I already have for free. This is asinine.

    I see the direction this game is going. SWTOR pulled this same scam in the beginning, look where that game ended up.

    anyone saying ZOS doing this is acceptable is stupid. No other real MMO does this. WoW, Runescape, FF14, Eve, LOTR all ask for payment information to be added as an AGREEMENT ONLY. None of them take pre-payments or finance checks. As has been stated by other people, all ZOS are doing here is creating problems for it's users.

    1) Causing overdrafts which banks can easily charge anywhere from $2 to $20 per day (anyone in this situation - i suggest you send the bill to ZOS HQ)
    2) Lost game time - 30 days were purchased as part of the game. ZOS are stealing access by doing this, and I expect my stolen time to be refunded with extra.

    3) I am looking forward to seeing an official figure of returns and people quitting due to this single act of stupidity from ZOS. Day 1 and they already cannot be trusted.

    Not sure if it's been answered, but what if I pay for a sub then immediately cancel it? Will I be able to play my 30 days of free time? I haven't decided if I will sub yet and would rather not prepay my next 30 days until I decide. I've played almost every MMO out there and I think this is the first one that charged me 30 days early.

    I think this is a big mistake Zenimax made. They would be better off by letting ppl play the full 30days without any Activated payment method and consequences.

    Just a Chosen payment method you would like to use after those 30days. They still wouldve gotten the info about payment methods used and not the big mess it is now. Besides that ppl that wanted an activated subscription wouldve chose that anyway.

    I wonder how big the financial mess will be now, the chaos at customer srrvice etc. All those ppl that are retaking money, dont get refunded or those that cant play (on sunday) now and are raging ^^

    Had to use PayPal keep getting errors with cc. Took about 20 minutes but they took $1 and $14.99 and returned it. Hope they fix the cc issues before end of 30 days.

    I m officially locked out of the game that i bought and paid for. I feel so strange, i loved the game, and enjoyed every moment playing it and i feel that Zenimax is doing anything in their power to make me hate it due to non gameplay reasons. Also it would mean a lot to many of us, if support would actually get back to us in an acceptable time frame. Dissapointed in u Zenimax.

    Upon setting up your subscription plan you may see an initial transaction against your account however this transaction is only temporary. The charge represents an authorization check against the account provided and will be removed once the authorization check is complete.
    Why don't you say that in this warning notice, that could save lot of troubles for many people. Ah well, it worked for me, so i am happy again.

    I cancelled and got a refund for the game, partly due to the way they are handling the billing aspect of things. If it isn't changed by the PS4 release, then that's their loss.

    And no, this isn't about not having money (I have plenty). It's about voting with my wallet on something that I think is being handled poorly, plain and simple.

    I have been un-wavering in my support for Zenimax Online since I learned of plans for ESO.I regularly defend you guys in zone or guild chats as the topic warrents.After 3 beta test rounds (that I was invited to,yes) ,pre-purchase and 5 day extended access plus the "extra" time allowed for subscription stuff,I am locked out of the game because my account will not allow Zenimax to bill me "0.00"??? You guys really need to get Sheogorath back in his cage and stop letting him screw with the controls.
