    As you will notice Game card is a started form of subscription. you are pre paying for time in game if you purchase a game card. Credit Card it firmly states
    After the 30 days of Unlimited Game play.
    No mention of a hold out, No mention of an authorization fee this is why everyone is enraged including myself because I play by game card no matter what, I do have a credit card or 2 but not willing to put them up for any game.
    Since I cannot get the game card locally and the system did reject my game code because I would not put in a credit card number I will get my 30 days free
    when my local stores get cards in. Since I live in BFE very rural area, and the closet town is about a hour drive I wont be getting it till go to town. Which really sucks.

    Someone a couple of pages ago who got help said that the CSR told him that he was really sorry for the long wait, that they HAVE to call the people in the order of signing up for phone support.

    Ive put in a phonecall back ticket 6 hours ago , and an email. even though i hulk rage in here, im of course gonna be polite with the CSR,( its not their fault). But still.. no reason what so ever to be authenticating and verifying that you have the funds for next month? that is *** to say the least. ive bought the game, gotten 30 days free time, thats all that matters, not wether or not i can pay for the next month, im not loaning money from them or something like that.

    But since you apparently work for them or something like that, cant really figure that out, but you sure do know ALOT about their business, then perhaps you can answer this.

    I bought the game from Zenimax and they need to verify i can pay for the next month, even though i allready payed up front for april.. why oh why, can my friends buy their game at Playgames, and get a new cdkey for april month in their email? . That just seems... well i dont know.. you tell me?

    I can assure you I'm not working at Zenimax, I'm not even located in the US. I don't know A LOT about their business either, I've seen that phone support button before though, and have always preferred phone communication myself to reduce the risk of miscommunication and other nonsense.

    I don't know what kind of keys your friends got, since I ordered on Zeni store as well. Up to this point I thought everyone had to set up a sub-plan and authorize before getting into the game, even the ones who bought the game boxed? Do you know if the key they got was a game time key or the actual cd-key they bound the game to their account with? Maybe it was some sort of package deal or something where they'd get a game card + the game? Not sure.

    And me, bought the game from Zeni store, 80 euros. (599 dkk) and so far. got nothing. (yeah got early access, but servers were down most of the time, when i had time to play;) )

    I made a comment on this thread which included some disparaging remarks on the way this policy had been implemented. The comment was removed within a couple of minutes. It is a pity that they have not addressed my other email to their technical support as quickly. I have bought and paid for thirty days access.I was not informed at time of purchase that I would need to subscribe to a payment plan to utilise the thirty days. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I have bought the game from the official site and have no game code to enter. Sort yourselves out Zanimax. You are losing goodwill by the bucketload.

    I agree, They will be hearing from my lawyer for 15 dollars I don't care, plain and simple it's not right what they are doing period. And if anyone else wants to ride this train feel free to join me, It's the principles!

    ...so a 15 dollar offense leads you to enlist a 250 dollar/hr attorney?

    For the record, I don't agree with the practice, but this just amuses me.

    there was only one way to do it clearly.
    they HAVE TO force us to make a sucscription plan while we are buying game from their web site, not after bougt game and pay 80 euros.
    then all of us can can understand that we will have that 30 days of game time if we make a subscription and make payment for another 30 days. then we can decide clearly.( i wouldnt decide to buy it)
    their way is too dark. selling game with 30 days of game time then when we start to play they forcing us to make a subscription.. fu.. your policy Zenimax. i want my money back ASAP.

    That doesn't mean you have to pay them anything more. But you'll need a valid payment method to access those 30 days.

    On an off note, why is that actually? And furthermore, a gametime card or a paysafecard is an valid payment method, but those will be billed immediatly. So you cant have "just" the 30 day free gametime with those "valid payment methods"...

    Yea but every single mmo ever released never charged a month's value of game time just for authorization, at least not in my 14 years experience of playing mmo's. It should've been $1-2 and not $15.

    I remember when I have bought and played any other sub game that you are given a 30 day free sub, it starts when the game is released, or you activate your account. No other information was collected. I find that it is bad business to ask for more money (or payment information) when you haven't delivered what you promised for the down payment.

    I am a contractor and give a quote on a job, I put a specific dollar amount for a down payment. I don't then ask for more money before the job is done.

    If I wanted to get yanked around by a software company I would have stayed with WoW.

    The authorization will be released because they never submitted the final posting documentation. i.e. the "charge" will disappear.

    I'm not sure what you mean, but if you don't have enough money in your bank account, to finish the authorization- contact support and they will help you out.

    Yep, I understand. I haven't even heard of something like that before though (your friends situation, where they could activate it without authorization.) And I don't know why it is like that actually. Yeah, was kind of annoying that they brought the servers down for a period of time when I had time to play as well, was primetime here when they shut down for maintenance.

    They earn nothing from the authorization. Read the first post if you're having trouble with billing due to insufficient funds and you'll find the information that you need.

    The new redeem code coming from new game time card,
    which you have to buy from the retails, if you dont want to pay by e-card.

    I am really quite surprised to be forced into a subscription before the 30 days I purchased with the game have passed. This is definitely not common practice in the online gaming industry. The issues that can arise with authorizing the full amount have already been mentioned often enough, but I feel really sorry for players who planned to pay their subscription with gametime cards, and don't have the alternative to use a credit or debit card - for them this is completely ridiculous.

    They already paid for the game and 30 days of game time. And now ZOS tells them that they won't get their days unless they buy another 30 days? That feels like a scam.

    I'm not sure what you mean, but if you don't have enough money in your bank account, to finish the authorization- contact support and they will help you out.

They've helped others, there should be no problem helping you.

    It seems like the waiting time is really long right now, that might be because the EU and US users have different queues(speculation, since some users seem to be called in 30 min and others several hours), and that it's sunday (and late depending on where you are.)

    Someone a couple of pages ago who got help said that the CSR told him that he was really sorry for the long wait, that they HAVE to call the people in the order of signing up for phone support.

    Ive put in a phonecall back ticket 6 hours ago , and an email. even though i hulk rage in here, im of course gonna be polite with the CSR,( its not their fault). But still.. no reason what so ever to be authenticating and verifying that you have the funds for next month? that is *** to say the least. ive bought the game, gotten 30 days free time, thats all that matters, not wether or not i can pay for the next month, im not loaning money from them or something like that.

    But since you apparently work for them or something like that, cant really figure that out, but you sure do know ALOT about their business, then perhaps you can answer this.

    I bought the game from Zenimax and they need to verify i can pay for the next month, even though i allready payed up front for april.. why oh why, can my friends buy their game at Playgames, and get a new cdkey for april month in their email? . That just seems... well i dont know.. you tell me?

    I can assure you I'm not working at Zenimax, I'm not even located in the US. I don't know A LOT about their business either, I've seen that phone support button before though, and have always preferred phone communication myself to reduce the risk of miscommunication and other nonsense.

    I don't know what kind of keys your friends got, since I ordered on Zeni store as well. Up to this point I thought everyone had to set up a sub-plan and authorize before getting into the game, even the ones who bought the game boxed? Do you know if the key they got was a game time key or the actual cd-key they bound the game to their account with? Maybe it was some sort of package deal or something where they'd get a game card + the game? Not sure.

    And me, bought the game from Zeni store, 80 euros. (599 dkk) and so far. got nothing. (yeah got early access, but servers were down most of the time, when i had time to play;) )

    Yep, I understand. I haven't even heard of something like that before though (your friends situation, where they could activate it without authorization.) And I don't know why it is like that actually. Yeah, was kind of annoying that they brought the servers down for a period of time when I had time to play as well, was primetime here when they shut down for maintenance.

    They aren't really taking the money. It's an authorization, so when you subscribe 15$ will be put pending (reserved if you will) and shortly after (depending on where you live) be released and everything will be back to normal. Then you can cancel your subscription, play your 30 included days and decide after that if you wan't to renew it or not.

    please stop defending him . ur working for them? they are forcing us to play that game another 30 days that's all. they have to let me decide to it while playing my 30 days which is coming with my purchase. THATS ALL!!!

    Nope. How is that even defending them? He asked about the process, if he would get the money back, and I clarified how it works. They are not FORCING you to play for another month. Calm down and contact support if you're having trouble with your authorization. If you have a valid CC you won't be charged for "another month", except during authorization which is a short period of time. That the authorization is for the full amount is indeed stupid, does not mean I can't clarify the process to someone who wants to know about it.

    This whole "We need to make sure you have a valid card" is bunk. I finally got cash in my account and went to subscribe only to find they ALREADY had my valid info on file from the pre-order and I still had to select a plan using the info they ALREADY had.

    Ok fanboies explain that one to me!

    Call 1-844-936-4629 you will wait about an hour but they will help you I finaly got in!!!!
    I used the "other" option (+800-6044-6044) and it just said that theres no operator using that number. I dont live in America so i cant use the one you said.

    And this is why I shouldn't have pre-ordered this game. Thought I could trust The Elder Scrolls. If I knew about this, I wouldn't have bought the game at all.
