U39 - PTS Endeavours: more choice is less it seems

Endeavors on the PTS are the same as on live this week. Are they done testing?

Nothing in the patch notes or acknowledgement from ZOS that the new endeavors are really bad and they have heard our feedback.

I really hope the new guildmate/grouping/specific dungeon endeavors do not go live. We have 17 pages of feedback here stating what a terrible idea that would be. ZOS, please don't force the PTS endeavors upon us.

That pickpocketing one I've not seen before for a weekly, and it's nearly double what it should reasonably be, since no more than 10 is ever asked for in a daily; why not 70 or 75 for the weekly? Or am I mistaken that a week no longer consists of seven days?

Oh wait, I know....funnel them to the group/difficult content, by subjecting them to tediousity. I think we should expect all the more easy-going endeavors to be ramped up accordingly.

Next week: Harvest 1000 resources, in addition to the specific trials/dungeons/arenas/BGs/IC/Cyro ones.

Doesn't take that long to pickpocket that many items. Each npc contains 3 - 4 items
Normal DSA isn't bad either if you got good folk you're with

We should run a poll on when we think ZOS will increase the monthly sub and by how much ;)

It is legit if inflation is, well, doing what it is doing. Rather that than this... disingenuousness.

I don't think have a single character who has pickpocketed 125 items total *during the entire time since the thieves guild DLC was released."

Not bothering with the weekly this week.

It's not going to change, they know players hate forced grouping, doing DLC content, or any endeavour that takes a huge amount of time, and have added them precisely for this reason, so that players then end up not completing them, accumulating less seals over time and hence being more prone to turn to buying crowns when the next new shiny thing hits the store. The grace period for the seals experiment is over, as with everything ZOS has indirectly added them to the monetized side of things. Seals gathering will no longer be incidental to normal playing, where you basically accrue them without even realizing, which by the way was the blurb ZOS officially had described them when they first introduced them. Seems like they want people to get used to do longer seal activities.
The 125 items this week was uneccesarly long and boring.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
    ESO plus status: Cancelled
    ESO currently uninstalled.

Guessing no updates or reversal of this new endeavor system for U39.

Not looking forward to the limited options for daily endeavors. I think for daily quests, if they increased the number of available quests from 5 to 7, the last two being the new ones, it wouldn't be as bad. And same goes for the weekly quests, make the number of available quests from 3 to 5. Atleast more quest options could potentially allow for increased choice, even if the new ones are less choice?

Fingers crossed the new endeavor quests are so sparsely laid out so that it doesn't feel like a huge impact to gameplay experience.

Oh, those changes are going live, the question is when.
They might push it live on U39, or do what they did with the animation prioritization changes back in the day, and put the godawful changes on ice until the dust settles, then sneak them in on a later update.

if players don't like grouping, they shouldn't be in an MMO... Forced grouping needs to happen so that people who don't have guilds can still socialize and form groups together in zone chats for specific trials or even get lesser played dungeons to be more played since there's some i never see pop up unless it's a daily, like red petal bastion. Really hope they use some kind of statistics and make the daily/weekly endeavor stuff things people don't do often like red petal bastion to make them more played.

Grouping is an option when playing an MMO. Playing solo is also an option and it is not "wrong" to do so. Solo players have every right to play this game however they want.

    .

People are fully capable of socializing without being forced to. I'm not sure why you need to be forced to do it?

I play solo a lot, but am also part of guilds. My first guild I joined was a social guild (no trading or guild trader involved), so you cannot say I was "forced" to be part of it just to have a guild trader (since there was not, nor ever will be, a guild trader). I joined because I wanted to.

Joining a guild is really helpful for running dungeons that might not be popular. If you are having trouble finding people for Bastion, then check out some guilds! :) Socializing with a guild seems like it might help with your problem. I ask for help all the time in dungeons in my guild and other guildmates happily help.

All they have done with regard to endeavors, to making them uneven, to making them impossible, has only make me realize that I no longer care whether I do them or not.

This week is a prime example. The reward for doing 20 WB's is simply not enough.

I wonder what they will blame for the upcoming drop in endeavour numbers.

I have never gone out of my way to do them as it is but I'm even less likely to at this point.

lol indeed. One is never sure what the actual aim is.

With the additional burden of numbera and/or grouping it does seem they are not wanting to give the reward at all, so yeah.
