Most people who wanted this for achievements finished it on release. The rewards are lackluster, so there is really no reason to do it over and over again. That was the main concern: without a group finder it will be very difficult to people participate in BN after some time passed after the release. So where are all the pople running ths seems like a failure to me no one doing this.
Bastion Nymic, intended for a group of four. Which you will definitely need unless you're a real raid tier player. I have tried twice to get in with groups.
The first group was only three people. We found that each group of trash mobs cumulatively has as many HP as a world boss, and when we got to the actual first boss, we couldn't finish him off and ended up giving up.
The second group, we had four players and were actually in the instance and I thought we were ready to start. Then suddenly everyone's meds wore off simultaneously and they were like "I don't have the quest, we need to kill Seekers", ran out all the way to Telvanni Peninsula and scattered all over looking for Seekers. I gave up trying to get everyone back together, and now I'm probably going to miss the daily because nobody seems to be doing the daily now and there is no LFG function for it.
This kind of thing simply isn't going to work, especially not as a daily quest. Bastion Nymic either needs to be changed to scale for solo play, or there needs to be a LFG, or group mechanics somehow need to be changed to allow for this kind of chaotic behavior. The simplest solution probably would be to rework it as a dungeon and let it use the regular dungeon queue.
Yes, I did it a few times, realized the reward to time spent ratio was severely underwhelming, and never went back.
And that's what concerns me about the upcoming "endless dungeons." How many hours are we expected to grind this out in one sitting for.... a 5% chance at a purple furnishing plan? There had better be some exceptional rewards if they expect people to spend most of their game time doing this specific content.
I think it was put in like this to prove a point. The call for hard overland were only shouted out by a small few.And where are they now? i know there not doing Bastion Nymic.

i never really found the nymics to be difficult, though doing them solo is a bit of a slog since everything has dlc dungeon amounts of hp
i got all of the achievements related to them, but i still run them to help friends speed them up or clear them
@ZOS_Kevin can we put this topci tp rest already, it has basically been two months of people complaining

I was one opting for harder overland and I can solo these (I did a few for a lead) but the only overland thing about this is the part where you kill the Seekers to enter. It's basically just a much worse 4-player dungeon instance with a pretty insane amount of time investment required for a daily quest with garbage rewards. I can do Vateshran or Maelstrom on veteran faster for good/meta gear than I can solo these or I can do literally anything else in the game that's more rewarding in less time. I don't want to spend 30 minutes for the same stuff I get in 90 seconds from a base game delve + some occasional furnishings or antiquities.
The patch is not live yet on consoles so I don't know if the reduced health/less ichor requirement made them more tolerable, I would assume no. I don't think I will step in these again even during events.

There are always people grouping in chat and a 1.5 mil boss is really not that big of a deal.. thats less then world bosses in deshaan. Also it literally takes one person to have the seeker stuff and have the open portal. They group, share the quest and then just travel to you. Only one person needs to do all the parts of the quest.

They added a motif?

Motifs and patterns have a chance to drop from the coffers for the daily quests. Because it's just a small chance, you have better odds to skip the BN and do the delve and world boss quests. A group of four can get 8 coffers, swap characters, and get 8 more pretty fast, and since the WB and delves don't have an arbitrary group limit of four you can make a fun guild event put of it.
