Is there anything meaningful at all included?
I avoided playing alts because of the lack of account-wide achievements. I created alts so I could play different aspects of the game, so I'm happy that I will be able to play an alt and not feel guilty about not being on the main.

Your roleplaying should not keep the majority of the playerbase and completionists from getting 100% on everything just because you don't want the murderer achievement on your "pacifist toon".
The worst people are the ones saying MMOs never really had achievements up till recently. Yeah, if recently is like 15 years ago.
Cease your complaining.

I wish this was optional too, or that there was an "account wide" version along with an individual character related version, especially when it comes to quest completion achievements. I preferred having individual achievements for all my alts tied to the dates I created and played certain things with them- having that wiped away makes achievements themselves feel less special, as I used to go out on special days with a favored character (like my birthday) to grab an achievement.
I liked grabbing the achievements on each alt, it was just...fun, and it felt like the character was keeping their own "journal". It wasn't about needing a gold star for doing stuff or anything...it was more an in game record of my characters actions, like a scrap book. The dates were sentimental to me. I always made it a point to get certain achievements on a characters "creation day", for example. I understand not everyone sees it this way, and thats fine- for them I'm happy. For the rest of us though...
I don't know, I get people are thrilled about this. I wish there was some other way to go about it, though. I never wanted or needed account wide achievements and wish I could toggle it off for my account so that others could be happy with it while those of us who don't want it could keep things as they are.

For me, this is probably more positive than negative.
It's 6 months away, so plenty of time to add in an optional tickbox to keep everyone happy?

Please explain. Your alts should have zero anything (they're new), how can they inherit any acheivement / title that they haven't earned / bought from the store?

a true completionist would be totally fine with doing achievements on multiple characters. We have character slots and achievements to measure progress. Yes, some of us LIKE doing things from scratch. its a challenge.

Same. I have avoided helping people before too because I wasn't on the character that needed an achievment and wasn't prepared to switch in a timely fashion. So let someone else help them.

This change takes away from the roleplaying community who may not want certain titles/achievements on specific characters.
This change changes nothing for everybody else, because you could just figure out what you had done on your whole account (or if on PC, use an add-on to do it for you)
So, a sizable portion of the player base loses significantly in their game satisfaction.
Just add a global tab. See total account progress. Keep all characters separate. Don't overthink it.
(Most arguing for global achievements wanted it for research/motifs/etc... anyways, which isn't happening as they're tied to writ rewards)
@ZOS_Kevin please give this feedback to the appropriate teams.
I can't agree more. There is absolutely nothing (other than people wanting research, motifs, skyshards, etc. which isn't happened anyways) that needs to be account wide. It ruins a significant portion of the game for people who have most things completed already.
A global tab is a perfect middle ground to keep everyone satisfied
