I wish this was optional. I like to keep individual track of each characters achievements.

this will still exist in some way for sure. there is too much xp and undaunted rep etc tied to achievements, so you'll still need to be able to earn them on each character

I like doing achievements on different alts, so not a fan of this change.

I wish this was optional too, or that there was an "account wide" version along with an individual character related version, especially when it comes to quest completion achievements. I preferred having individual achievements for all my alts tied to the dates I created and played certain things with them- having that wiped away makes achievements themselves feel less special, as I used to go out on special days with a favored character (like my birthday) to grab an achievement.

I liked grabbing the achievements on each alt, it was just...fun, and it felt like the character was keeping their own "journal". It wasn't about needing a gold star for doing stuff or anything...it was more an in game record of my characters actions, like a scrap book. The dates were sentimental to me. I always made it a point to get certain achievements on a characters "creation day", for example. I understand not everyone sees it this way, and thats fine- for them I'm happy. For the rest of us though...

I don't know, I get people are thrilled about this. I wish there was some other way to go about it, though. I never wanted or needed account wide achievements and wish I could toggle it off for my account so that others could be happy with it while those of us who don't want it could keep things as they are.

RIP replay-ability to show the ability to do things on multiple classes/roles/etc.

All that was needed was a Global achievement "tab" that shows how your total account was doing.

I'd rather accountwide achievements apply to some things (monster trophies) with additional achievements related to completing or doing things on multiple characters, similar to SWTOR Legacy achievements. Then, a global achievements option so you can see what you've accomplished on your account vs on each character. I don't want my good characters to have Mass Murderer, for example. This honestly disappoints me more than anything else and that's saying a lot after that chapter reveal.

They confirmed that yes, those are going to be exempt.

You could always do that. Respec your dd who got the achievement to tank, say you got it on tank. What does this change?

This, right here. I have characters who wouldn't touch DB content and I don't need the achievements for it on them- that, and quest NPC's will regard characters as a member of the DB in some areas of the game, changing dialouge and interactions. Why should my whole account be treated as if everyone is a member of DB when only one outlier created specifically for events is?

This new system is going to be problematic to say the least.
