Therefore, please enable synchronisation of trophies between the PS4 and PS5 versions for those players it is important to, rather than not doing it for those who couldn't care less.
Thank you.
It's important for those who don't care about them too, they just don't know it! Lots of guilds look at trophies before accepting members. Trade guilds will to make sure new applicants aren't bots and trial guilds to check progress. I've knows players too that like to check out trophies to back up claims being made.
The people who use trophies the most aren't necessarily the people who've earned them.

I have the ps5 update and deleted the PS4 game from my ps5. Earlier today I was just looking at someone's profile and decided to look at trophies, and all my old trophies were still there easy to see. I'm going to test tomorrow, but I expect if a PS4 user looks at a ps5 profile they will see the PS4 trophies, but if a ps5 user looks at a ps5 user, they will see the ps5 trophy list. Not perfect, but should hopefully alleviate some concerns while this gets sorted out.
I literally do not care about seeing trophies. I'm almost certain no one else in this thread cares about seeing trophies. We care about the trophies we have earned in this game carrying over no matter the version. It doesn't alleviate any of the concerns because the concerns are not about "seeing" other people's trophies.beer781993 wrote: »ZOS_SarahHecker wrote: »Hey all, just wanted to drop in here real quick. While ESO does not currently allow sharing trophies from PS4 to PS5, we have read all of the comments and concerns in this thread. We are looking into alternatives for this feature and will let you know if we are able to do an import of trophies in the future. Thank you for your feedback!
How is this going? When will we get our trophies back on PS5?
3 posts above she told us, that they don't have any news. Plus it isn't even sure if they can import the trophies at all. I know it's 😥
Cool, I'm still going to ask though. Otherwise they'll happily just let it drop off the radar.

Glad I met the misfits guild, they didn't ask any questions and helped me push the keeps. Love you guys. Joined them after 😀.
Damn this trophy kills me inside. Now only 200 hours fishing again and on Ps6 for the third time haha. Damn I need a doctor.

Lol that's even worse than ESO because if you have the Doom ingame achievements you can't ever get the trophies...
Got Plat there, won't bother to play the Ps5 version.

Because the most important thing is the players and your gaming community and their attitude towards you.
Oh sorry, I accidentally wrote something wrong - MONEY
When a developer cannot do the obvious things, especially when all other developers calmly do it, this is frankly depressing...

You saw what they did with doom. Best thing is to not buy any Bethesda titles on PlayStation. I will plat ESO 2 times and then never look at their games anymore.

Congrats on giving them what they want. Now if you and other people just give in and grab the double trophies, why [snip] should they even reconsider the trophy transfer?
The biggest disappointment is complete radio silence, neither on the forum nor in the mail ... it feels like you are simply ignored and not seen ...
I would very much like to see the post ... well, at least - "We have transmitted information, we are working", or "We will not change anything, this is not part of our plans." To create, at least some sense of certainty.
And so we sit and wait and it is not even clear whether they will answer or not, but I have the impression that they will not answer any more ...
It's actually quite upsetting there is not a lot of people that actually care about this.

Part of it is likely that a lot of us just don't understand. Why do you feel you "have" to do this again? I mean, you earned the trophies already, why do you have to do it again? If they were new ones you hadn't done before, sure. But...?

(I sometimes look at achievement lists in games as a way to find other interesting things to do/try in a game, or if one unlocks a particular reward, but I've never tried to get them all just because they're there. Pretty sure I've never "platinumed" a game on any of my PS's. So, yeah - I'm clearly not the target audience.)

Ah, ok, I hadn't considered people who were halfway done on PS4. That one makes some sense. The one that confuses me is the people who completed it on PS4, and now say they "have" to do it all again. If there are any people saying that.
...hmm. Does the console get more trophies from expansions? Does someone starting now have to earn more to get that Platinum than someone who started in 2016? Or is it just more in-game achievements?
(and no, I'd be just as confused about Steam & Xbox complaints. Because, like I said, I don't really 'get' the whole "must earn achievements!" impulse. The one that really confuses me is the "gamerscore" chasers, who buy games in genres they don't even enjoy, just to grind more achieves/gamerscore. That's totally bizarre.)

Would have just casually played a few hours on PC or played league of legends.

It will be interesting to see how digital collections pan out. I am not hopeful. With the stamps and coins, or even belly button lint balls, there is something that can be passed down. The whole "gee... uh... thanks, Gramps!" thing. Digital collections will never rise to that, but we are only starting to get to the point where we find out if it is important.
Kiralyn2000 wrote: »Of course, kids collecting stamps & Gramps collecting coins didn't end with people ranting about how they felt "forced" to Catch 'em All™. Because collections of IRL things include rare stuff worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
