    Pretty much anything that drops loot. Killing monsters, looting treasure chests, World Bosses. etc. will have a chance to drop the boxes.
    Killed / looted somewhere around 100 mobs / bosses / chests so far. No pet / memento fragments so far.
    How big is the chance exactly ?

    A "golden" box should always have at least one piece of event loot in it.

    I popped to a random wayshrine in Murkmire, killed ~4 mobs (three groups of mosquitos, one hoarvoar), and got my tickets & strongbox. With a pet fragment inside the box.

    and when we had Elsweyr event - getting tickets was NOT a... chance drop. it was guaranteed drop. so not the same at all


    this event is a mess TBH. what i would suggest to minimize the messiness, personaly is - kill random outdoor trash until you get tickets and gold box, and THEN kill bosses for quests or whatever.

    wait.. some zones have a 12 person cap on who can get loot? I'd like to meet the idiot who thought of that idea.

    I believe all of them do. Unless they did change something specifically for dragons in Elsweyr.

    The pretty sure OP is talking about the cap on how many players get loot. iirc it is 12 players. So if 30 players are waiting for the boss to spawn then less than half will actually get loot.

    Uugh I had no idea, do you mean to say there is a 12 player cap on WB's for this event or is it just tickets but you get the normal WB loot or nothing at all?

    The cap is on loot in general. If you are not among top 12 damage contributors the body will not even be loot-able.

    I don't think that's the case for dragons though, there's many times I just get there and get one whack in and the dragon dies, I always get loot. On WB's not the same, there's times I just get there and get a few whacks in and get nothing, I figured it was you had to at least do a certain amount of damage on those like at least 100k for example to get anything.

    Dragons are essentially dolmen chests when it comes to loot. As long as you looked sternly at it while it was in battle, you get to loot.
    Agree, I once got in one LA with a bow and got loot.
    Think the 12 man limit is in place because of farming in craglorn back in the days.
    Same as delete limit exist because bots abused character creation to farm an quest.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Can we rename the Murkmire celebration into Event-ticket-buying celebration? I think its more appropiate. I dont mind people skipping out on grinding because they have enough cash to go the crown-store route but this not even grindable. Its just stupid.

    Oh you aren't stating that ZOS would use the rng implemented in this event as a marketing ploy to have their players pay 250 Crowns per ticket to compensate for not being able to spend hours in a total lag fest trying to get their "chance" 3 tickets per day? Lmao not ZO$ they wouldn't do such a thing. And for those who want to participate in this ridiculous event but don't yet have the Murkmire DLC, you can purchase it for 12 days only @2400 Crowns! What a joke!

    I took a random wayshrine into Murkmire, walked offroad for about 10 seconds, bumped into a named quest boss (of a quest I had done back when Murkmire came out), killed it and got my tickets, box, fragment and boss loot.
    PC EU.

    =primarily PvH (Player vs. House)=

    each item has 7 fragments, and each fragment costs 5 tickets. that is a total of 70 tickets to get both items with tickets alone. this means that your gold box drop rates have to be 1. at LEAST 50% (in my case today, they were actualy 25% as out of 4 gold boxes I opened across 3 accounts with one EU - I only get a fragment from one of those boxes) 2. never, EVER be duplicate and that includes any fragments you may have bought to clear space for more tickets.

    that is a LOT of ifs.

    Thank you for taking the time to comment here. I know you probably mean well by directing us to other areas. To me, however, this comes across as: “if you are frustrated by the way the event drops have been severely curtailed through multiple layers of loot gating, RNG, and BoP and with the way server performance is distinctly subpar, please go elsewhere.”

    It’s truly demoralizing to see so many people have so many issues with getting tickets and event rewards (especially the fragments) and with the performance of the servers during events like this. I had hoped to see someone address these concerns and answer these questions (e.g. about fragment drops). There are many differences in this event from previous ones, on top of the same performance issues, and being directed to other mobs instead of having those concerns acknowledged and addressed suggests to me they aren’t going to be. If player disappointment is the developers’ intention, then I suppose the mistake is mine.

    I think you misunderstood. getting tickets is easy. getting ENOUGH tickets/fragments is a different story.

    i had no problem getting my tickets and first box of the day. what i DID have an issue with was getting fragments INSIDE those boxes. the pet and memento? THOSE are the rewards I'm talking about. please. reread my post again and if something is still confusing - let me know and i'll try to rewrite it to make it clearer.

    gotcha and to be fair, given just how many people are gathered killing world bosses.... most people won't have the dps :/ which is why i personaly didn't even bother going to boss for tickets myself. unfortunately, other issues with the event - still remain :(

    There was a reason why this zone was given away free and is my least favorite zone. It is simplistic in design, the dungeons are boring, and the story is pedestrian. It seems like it was something to placate the players because they did not have a decent zone ready yet. Played for one hour today and got a couple of low grade armor pieces and a box with 20 pieces of wood and a 250 gold piece of trash. Fought two world bosses but because so many were at the location did not get a drop from either of them. I have played in all the other events and have found this one to be subpar, just like the zone itself.

    Put me on the list. Tank here. I got exp and gold from the bosses, but I get no loot. Even if I swap over to execute abilities and spam them I can't seem to get credit. Very crowded and it isn't prime time yet. Probably not going to participate after this start.

    This does seem to be the way to go. It’s ironic that the workaround for getting tickets involves avoiding group events and avoiding groups at all (lest you miss loot) in a multiplayer RPG...

    Took one look at the crowd at the World boss, and walked away .. got my tickets, and box from a crocodile about 10 mins later

    .. soo much angst, and plain stupidity in chat, and so few people grasping the fact that ALL monsters have a chance to give u your tickets, and boxes, and doing quests has nothing to do w the event rewards this time

    .. its not rocket science people

    Got my tickets and a strongbox after 20 or so kills. Tried overland and delve mobs. About a third of them did not give loot at all even though I was the only one damaging them.

    If it is a good chance then it is definitely a new meaning.

    Hey everyone, just a quick reminder that all monsters in the zone have a chance to drop Event Tickets. If the world bosses are too crowded, you might want to try a delve or another area of the map when killing creatures.

    or you could simply adjust how the world bosses behave here. If I go tank a dragon for a pile of people I always get credit. The goal should be to make events like this more community oriented. Not me trying to find some corner of the map to solo in.
